Hi my name is Darius i am an African American guy who initially took my car a 2012 Dodge challenger to " Originals " in November 2018 to install a new oil pan and Chris and his brother who is the son of the Mother and Father who own the business who conducted the work on my car and told me since i am getting a new oil pan installed and need a new clutched installed since the transmission would be out already ,He would install the clutch as well . I PAID a total of over $3000 After 1 week i was informed that my master cylinder / slave cylinder was replaced because it was old ,i did not Authorized the removal of it .After almost 1 month i was told my car was ready . I went to pick it up and drove directly to elmonte one hour away , On my way back to Losangeles my brakes went completely out and my clutch had burned out as well . By the grace of GOD i did not die although my leg was injuried amd my car was smoking and spinned out ,i was taken to West Valley Hospital and my car was towed back to Originals ,At the time "Chris" was out of the country for the holidays .Once i was discharged from the hospital with a leg brace i was extremely disappointed because i could have lost my life . Immediatetely i went back to Originals with pictures of the brakes caliber being broke and a police report as well as hospital discharge papers . Chris called me and immediately blamed me for my car caliber being broke a week later he returned from out of the country and after inspected my car he told me that one of his employees didnt tighten a screw and this is the reason why my brakes went out ,Chris told me he fired the guy because of it and the issue will be corrected . After another a new clutch was replaced for the second time i was told that the car was ready i went to pick it up again and after 1 days of driving my car my clutch burned out . I was told by chris to find a way to have it towed back to Originals and he would see what the issue was .After having my car for another 3 weeks i was towed that my car was ready for the 3rd time .I asked chris could we test drive it this time before i drive off with it to make sure it has nonore issues chris told me he would be late to pick up his son but assured me my car was fixed, i begain to drive off when i heard a noise and ask him what was the noised he said that its a hemi engine so its natural to sound that way I told him i wanted to record the noise he "IMMEDIATELY TOLD ME TO NOT TO . I begain to drive off when my car started making a loud noise Chris and His Dad told me to take there car as a loaner car while they rectify the problem . 2 days later i was told that the car was fixed and that he needed the loaner car back ASAP i went to return the car and pick up.mines for the 4th time a day later the same thing happen with my car it started smoking and my clutch wouldnt go in gear i immediately called Chris and told him the problem with the car and i needed a tow truck i was stuck in the rain with my pregant finace Chris told me to find a way to tow my car back to Originals i told i need his help i dont have road side assistance or anything . CHRIS TOLD ME I MUST HAVE BAD LUCK AND I AM THE ONLY CUSTOMER HE HAVE THIS ISSUE WITH ,I told him i had also left my cousin phone in the loaner car that he let me use for 2 days he told me that he would check but have not contacted me at all . I am curently contacting the Bureau Of Automotive Repair as well as the state representative to Assist me into filing a law suit against Original his Dad doesnt speak english at all who is the owner he was extremely unprofessional and Chris has been extremely difficult as well as unprofessional telling me i have bad luck .i have given him.over $3000 and had to take my car back to him over 4 times for the same problem . HE HAS NOT CONTACTED ME NOR RETURN MY COUSIN PHONE THAT WAS LEFT IN HIS LOANER CAR . I FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF . I FEEL HE IS RACIST AND I WILL TELL ANYONE IN CALIFORNIA NOT TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO "ORIGINALS" THEY ARE CON ARTIST AND LIERS ,I FEEL AM WITHOUT MY CAR RIGHT NOW AND ANY DAY NOW MY FIANCE IS EXPECTING MY FIRST CHILD ,WHICH I WILL HAVE TO TAKE A LFYT TO THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE CHRIS MESS UP MY CAR AND NEVER FIXED THE PROBLEM . I was looking for an EcuTek tune for my G37, and I was deciding between two shops. I emailed them both with my questions, and from the two, Pablo at Original Auto was friendly, responded quickly, and was honest and straightforward with setting up the appointment. I went and was told to look for Chris, but most of my interaction was with Pablo. Pablo was surprised at the fact that my car made 304 wheel horsepower before a tune, and after he ran the software on the dyno, he managed to squeeze another 13 horses out of my car, which brought me up to 317 to the wheels and he boosted the power throughout the entire powerband. I cannot be happier with my tune, Pablo was extremely helpful and informative, showing me how to switch between maps and answering all of my questions. The atmosphere was really chill as well, and being a car guy myself, I found myself drooling over the plethora of tuner cars, and I will definitely be coming back if I were to ever need anything done again. read more

I took my "totaled" 2002 Mustang in to Original Motorsports in Van Nuys, and for less money than my insurance company paid me, Chris and his brother Pablo completely rebuilt my car, and they did a fantastic job!!! I'm a guy who keeps his cars in perfect working order at all times. When I picked it up it looked like it was brand new. They fixed the damaged front end with a new bumper, added a few "go fast parts" including a new Flowmaster dual exhaust system that sounds fantastic!!! They are also rebuilding a friend of mines old Thunderbird and they've been doing a great job with that too!!! If your car needs ANY KIND of repair, Original is the place to go!!! Original Auto - Vehicle did not drive 1000 miles and was repaired twice just to fail again. - Auto Repair Near Me - Van Nuys, California

This place is a joke. The owner doesn't care about your car. Him and his employees are always working on their own cars, and he only runs this business to fund his weekend warrior racing team. I took my car here to get a simple oil change, they over torqued my oil drain plug, and put in a dented economy oil filter and god only knows what brand of oil. They also replaced my high pressure power steering hose, and reused the old burnt power steering fluid. Oh, by the way it took them over 12 hours to do these two simple services, when the Honda dealer said 4 hours max for the PS hose. To add insult to injury, when I stopped by to see if it was ready they were dyno testing their own cars and my car had not been touched yet. I will never go here again or recommend it to my worst enemy. read more

I got some work done today, Radiator and AC repair. Honest and Fair price. I came in thinking I would have to purchase a new compressor. I asked Vicente to give me a quote. Before making any recommendations he assessed the car and told me all I needed was to charge the AC system. He also replaced the radiator. I paid a little over $350 for the work and parts. I went to a previous shop two weeks prior where I was told I would have to buy a new compressor and work for my radiator would total $1,200. He could have taken advantage and told me I needed a compressor. But he was honest. He also had someone drop me off so that I would not have to wait at the shop. As a lady that doesn't know much about cars, having an honest and fair mechanic is priceless. I would have given them a 5 stars, but I think they can improve on proactive communication. They should also change their flyer because they placed a picture of a part to be the O in Original. But for the longest I thought the shops name was riginal. read more

Took my car here said it would be fixed in 2-3 weeks took more than a month and I found cloths inside my car checked the Miles and they used it in joy rides also they where installing my exhaust and they told me my remote for my open / close valves dident work and few days later they where selling them on there ig horrible place fishy guys read more

I waited until the last minute to try to find an auto repair shop to fix the breaks on my Mini Cooper. I was dreading how much it was going to cost, since every prior repair I have had done on my car was very expensive. I have been a customer for about 11yrs at all three previous locations. These guys have worked on my 06 EVO MR, 95 M3, 05 325ci, 95 Toyota pick up and 2013 CRV. Mr. Vicente, Chris and Pablo have always been very fair and honest on all the work they have done on my cars. I have recommended a handful of friends and they have been happy with the work. Worst place ever.. they installed a new muffler on my Jeep that was not installed correctly.. it was rattling with in a week. The welding was cracked.. I came back for the second time and supposably they re-welded it and reinforced the the welding on the muffler.. It wasnt until another week after that i had to come back again because the welding on the muffler had cracked again this time it wasnt fixable...at this point i began to feel that there quality and knowledge of welding was not good...it was after this That i decided to ask the owner for a refund.. he agreed to it... but when i decided to shake his hand so that there wasnt any hard feelings he declined my hand shake....I was like wow.... Took in my s13 to put it kouki lights, they put in zenki lights, almost sure they put in worse quality air filters than the ones i had before, also had them install an exedy clutch, start. Driving and Theres a noticeable vibration around 3000rpm, went back, they said its nrmal and i have nothing to worry about. and they exchanged my engine mounts with hockey pucks without my permission, which i noticed 2 weeks after. read more

I've been coming to Vlady and Vicente for almost a year now for anything I can't do at home. Some jobs cost more then others but they know what they're doing. The best part is they do modifications so they're is never one way to do something! Prices are good but time consuming easily rolling over 4 hours of wait time. I've never left my car there I've always waited for it to be ready and talk to Vlady about my car and the work he's doing. They are all young guys so everyone is easy to talk too. They take cash or debit or credit cards. I don't have anything bad to say about these guys like the person reviewing they had there phone stolen. Only issue i did have was one of the other guys from the other side of the shop where they do hot rodding and hardcore mods he replaced the struts on on the front and was very careless he tore my cv joint boot because he let the control arm fall down for not being properly supported. I will never let that guy touch my car again. I only trust Vlady or Vicente. All in all they do a good job and if you're curious you can ask questions and learn as much as you'd like about your car! It was my first time coming to this shop and man o man I'm very happy with the work Chris (the Mechanic) did with my Pontiac G8 . Chris is a very cool guy, very professional. First he makes sure you get exactly what you are asking for, he goes over everything thats going to be done to your car, every detail, as a customer that's very important. Then he gives you a very good price for the parts and labor . It doesn't get any better than that. He added an intake to my car and he did the whole exhaust system. A Job well done. This guy works day and night , 7 days a week if he has to, just to make sure every customer has their car back in no time. He's not that type of mechanic that take weeks fixing your car . For the amount of cars this guy works on weekly, I'm very happy that he was able finish my car within a few days. Whatever you do, DO NOT go here! They will do a "quick fix" or mask the problem they will not even attempt to fix the car they only care about money! They will over charge you based on the car you drive which is messed up! J brought my Lexus to them to install a diffuser and while I was there they were helping so many other people but as I looked at the work they were doing, they were not even fixing the problems but instead doing something else to fix it short term so that the customers can come back again in a few months to over charge them again and again. As for me, they installed the diffuser slanted, sticking out, hanging off, and when I was on the freeway it came off which was very dangerous. And for that "GREAT" work, they had charged me $100. PLEASE DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND NEVER GO HERE THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!
