I have never been more disappointed in a meal before. I ordered on door dash. The boudin balls were burnt and this is not boudin! This is rice. Not even dirty rice. The fries were visibly burnt! I ordered a cheeseburger but it didn't look like the ones shown on yelp reviews. The meat was semi thin almost like the ones you buy in a box that are 'pre-made'. I have eaten here a couple times but I went the first time just to look around. I had ordered on UberEats. I wanted to know who made the onion rings. Lol. It was clear that this family run restaurant is well run. I met Mr. Gilmore who was at the counter. He told me check out the menu and said that there was plenty served that's not on the menu; all-day breakfast is one thing. Well, I told him that I came to find out who made the onion rings. I hadn't had onion rings like that since the early 80s at Burger Park (a lot of people don't know that Burger Park used to do hand-battered onions that were like no other...until now, of course.) So I was having a taste for a Bacon Cheeseburger and found this place on Door Dash. The prices were amazing and the pictures I saw had my mouth watering. I told myself instead of DoorDash I would take a drive there and try it out. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger combo and opted for onion rings. Everything was made fresh once you order. This review is strictly based off of the customer service, since it was so horrible that I didn't even trust ordering from them. I called this restaurant to inquire about a dish they serve, and the "woman" who answered was extremely unprofessional. She was very snippy and vulgar, and seemed to be irritated that customers don't automatically know how this specific restaurant prepares their food. She must've thought she hung up the phone sooner than she did, because I heard her cursing about me calling to ask questions. I hope the food isn't as dirty as her attitude. Everything you'd expect from a great neighborhood burger joint. Great homemade burgers. On separate occasions I've tried the bacon cheeseburger and the double meat cheeseburger. Both were excellent. The fries are pretty much your standard fare but seasoned very well and the onion rings are big and crispy. Their chicken sandwiches are worth mentioning too, particularly the chicken bacon ranch. Hot, fresh, and juicy. I have yet to try any of their other offerings such as the seafood, or the chili dogs, or the beefy nachos but I definitely plan to...assuming I can resist the temptation to order another one of those delicious burgers.
