She brought us samples of different sauces to try as we looked through the menu. We ultimately both ordered one of the BYOB burgers with curly fries and split an order of fried pickles. The burgers were thick, juicy, and it was great to customize with whatever cheese and toppings we desired. The curly fries were enhanced when dipped in the side sauces. The fried pickles were perfectly crispy with a great-tasting tangy remoulade to dip. Washed down with a Sam Adams, the meal and entire experience was pretty perfect. Without the Hooters in Gainesville anymore, Ocala will become the new go-to.

They have some of the best crab cakes I've ever had, a bit pricey but they are almost 100% crab (almost not binder/filler) and if you know the price of crab these days you'd understand the pricing. For me, a Village Dodo drink, Filet Mignon medium rare 'surf and turf' style with a crab cake, and creamed spinach side served outside with the tiki torches blaring is near perfection in a meal.
