We were out boating in the morning and were able to dock here and stop for lunch which was great. There is indoor and outdoor seating and since our friends had their dog, it was outside for us. I loved the atmosphere with the high ceilings. The menu is large, with a big part being wings. There were wings of every flavor possible, but I settled on the nachos. Our server took a little while for drinks, which for me was a can of Guinness. I had to ask for a glass, which I thought was odd because you can't drink Guinness from a can and have it be any good. My nachos arrived and weren't as plentiful as I anticipated, and didn't have as much toppings as I expected, as there were lots of dry chips. I forget what the oil that was all over it was called, but it was spicy. Not my favorite order of nachos. Server never came back to check or even get us refills. read more

Rented a pontoon boat in Mt Dora and cruised around the different lakes ran upon place and decided to give it a try. Plenty of room to pull the boat up and has that fun Florida feel where you can eat I side or outside. They are dog friendly which was a plus. Right on the water is a plus, Fun deco, and there is plenty of seating. Menu has plenty of choices for food and drinks. We tried a few different plates which were all good. I really enjoyed this restaurant, by surprise. It's off of Highway 441 and fairly busy most evenings. I went on two back-to-back afternoons, one with live music, and enjoyed it each time. There seems to always be a wait for a table but I went to the bar, which eliminated the wait. The bartender was kind and attentive. The live music was okay, but I'm a sucker for any type of live music. I ordered the wings, with a side of broccoli and rice. The wings were crisp, the broccoli was very tasty (and I'm typically not a fan), and the rice was ok. They also have happy hour drinks on most days. Based on the food, it is more like a 3 star restaurant; however, the lake view, service, happy hour, and live music made it a good time. This is a very Floridian restaurant as it is colorful and sits along a canal with alligators in it. Casual place. Multiple tvs inside as well. Please do not feed the gators as the city destroyed others in the past claiming feeding them made then unafraid of humans (stupid, of course the gators aren't afraid whether you feed them or not). The food was good and not bad pricing since it was about $102 for 5 people plus a extra premium side and an additional take out order. There was an Impossible burger so at least a vegetarian option and the others seemed to like their food too. No issues with service and the waitress was friendly. They didn't try to rush us so overall it was a nice dinner out. My family recommended the garlic parm fries and the guys seemed to like that as well. read more

I had family come down to visit for the weekend and decided to go out to eat for lunch. I heard good things about dockside so I decided to check them out. Went on Saturday around noon time. We walked in and were told there was a 30 min wait, even though there was quite a few tables empty. The waitress was professional and did her job satisfactory. The real issue and reason for me writing review is what I assume was lack of staff or lack of management in making sure service was prompt and efficient. It was apparent that there was issues going on in kitchen we had to wait half an hour for our main course to brought to our table. Some of the food was cold and we can tell the food has been sitting for a while. The waitress apologized for the slow service but we know it was not her fault. While we were sitting we over heard the staff say that there was a meeting in back and there were no wait staff on the floor for what seemed to be 20 to 30 minutes. Again I do not fault our waitress but I do blame management. We got there around 12 and left at 2 pm. I will not be going back to dockside, if I'm going to spend $180 on food I will spend my money in a deserving establishment. read more

The thirty sauces they have to chose from for tenders and wings do not come on the meat but in a little cup. Coleslaw tiny and uninspired, as was the lime rice. My favorite place to Jetski is the Harris Chain of Lakes, located between Lake Harris and Lake Eustis is this restaurant with plentiful docks for boats and skis. I have been here once and it can get busy since you can access this restaurant on both land and lake. We were fortunate to catch them at a down time. Our server was Bernie. He was polite and prompt. We ordered the steak philly and boneless wings. My husband loves a good philly and enjoyed this dish. I ordered the boneless wings with Boss sauce. That sauce was really good! The volleyball are freea looks worse for wear. That looked to be many meal options. I had the namesake Hurricane Steak Sandwich with lime rice as a side. The bottom bun was so (very) soggy ...but the rest was good and can imagine the sandwich would have been great if it was brought out deconstructed. I took a picture of both of their boards for our table so we wouldn't have to keep walking over there. My first drink I ordered was $7.99, my second one was $10. No prices were listed on the board. My husband ordered the same drink as my second one, but his was blended, mine was on the rocks, and mine was served as a double and cost $3 more. Who could have known. I ordered a shrimp dish with chips and a side salad. It was delicious. All of our food was good. This would be a nice place to go if you have a nice lazy afternoon. read more
