We came here for kind of a brunch on Father's Day. The wait wasn't too long and there was plenty of room to sit and wait. From was I saw I feel like the restaurant was generally clean and in good shape. The menu has a lot of options in both sweet or savory breakfast foods. The pancakes and syrup were good. I had a Mediterranean omelet and it was massive, I was so shocked by the sheer size of it. It was good, I ordered thinking I like Mediterranean food in other situations so why not try it in an omelet. My husband enjoyed his food and my kids did too. It does take a bit more time than some other breakfast and their menu says that is due to items being made fresh so I can appreciate the effort to set expectations at a proper level. A Solid Saturday Morning Stop Stumbled into this location for the first time on a Saturday morning and walked right in, which was a pleasant surprise. The crowd here feels very local, which I always take as a good sign. The vibe is casual and unpretentious. Staff was friendly, though not particularly attentive, something to keep in mind if you are in a hurry. Now, the pancakes. I went with the apple pancakes, and the moment they hit the table, the smell alone almost sold me. Warm cinnamon, sweet apple, the whole thing. They arrive as a generous stack and they are beautiful. That said, they are extremely sweet, more dessert than breakfast if I am being honest. If you have a serious sweet tooth, you will be in heaven. If you are like me and prefer something more balanced, just know what you are getting into. The menu description does not fully prepare you for the sugar level. Here is a tip: share a combo. Pairing the pancakes with eggs and bacon or sausage cuts through the sweetness and gives you a much more complete meal. I asked for crispy bacon and they nailed it, which honestly earns some serious points in my book. Portions are large and prices are fair for what you get. Best value is definitely in the combo options, even better if you share. The wait list is worth joining as you get close, just as a precaution on busier mornings. Three stars. My husband and I went in at 1:00 on Tuesday. We were hungry and excited that it was not busy. In fact one other table. We were seated and continued to sit for over five minutes without anyone coming over to greet us. FYI, the only other table in there was right next to us. The server could definitely see us sitting there! She had walked to that table of three consecutively three times cash them out still did not come to us. I finally stood up and said we are leaving since no one seems to want to come and serve us. As we left, I heard someone say "good bye" terrible terrible terrible service no service zero customer service that was our third time there and always been terrible! Sad, because the food is good. Food was meh. Sausage and bacon came out cold and sad looking. 6 people (2 of which were kids) and everyone ordered regular meals with only a couple of add ons and it came out to be $170. Wait time was about 10 min - nothing crazy. Even though it's busy, the staff are all very nice and courteous. Our waitress was very attentive. I ordered the meat lovers omelette. 5 eggs!! Tons of protein : ) The ONLY thing about meat in eggs is that it can get greasy. Mine was greasy and I could only eat half. Brought the rest home. Good flavor though. On a busy Sunday morning, I couldn't believe how quickly we were seated and how fast the service was. I was recently introduced to the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut pancakes and am writing this review strictly to spread the good (so so good) word. If you haven't tried them, it's an absolute must. Horrible experience. We came in and hand a large table waited 30 mins and ask how much longer. They sat our table with a walk in. So we got up and asked, they said they are sorry and now getting a table ready. They then sat a table of 6 and then a table of 7. So we asked how much longer as they mentioned 10 mins ago they were cleaning. They sat our table again. We had to wait another 10 mins for another table to be free. The food at The Original Pancake House is always great, but the Riverton location really needs to work on their service. We had to ask multiple times just to get our water refilled, and no one checked in on us at all. We ended up having to wave our waiter down, and he wasn't even busy, he was mostly standing around. I enjoy this pancake house, this is located in Riverton area. When I and my family, friends come here we are always treated very well. The service here is amazing. To come into a casual atmosphere makes a world of difference. From the hostess, waiters, dishwasher, and the cooks, plus the mangers Goes along way. They excellent food, which is very very filling. Why can't the other pancake house be like this. Since finding this one we come here quite often. Thank you for the blue collar atmosphere and quality food and service. PS- The downside to this, is they're doing construction right by here. Also parking is tight, the don't have plug ins for EV so don't ask. You can park but you will have to walk which isn't a far walk. It is a busy place and with construction it can make for a long wait. AS SOON AS YOU GET THERE GET ON THE WAITING LIST. read more

I'll be honest this place didn't get any better from the last time I posted. First the Coffee sucked. My auto-drip with store brand Folgers coffee tasted 1000% better. The service wasn't service not really. After the coffee I just got water. Which I only got 1 small glass of. The server didn't bother with refiles or even show up at the table. I had to flag him down to get common items like Hot Sauce and ketchup. I even had to ask another server a couple of times for odd things. I got an omelet more specifically an Irish omelet which included Corned Beef. You can see the Corned Beef in the omelet chopped up so small you can't even taste it AT ALL. The breakfast sausage was so bland that it had no taste. The only redeeming idem was the bacon. it was most defiantly quality bacon, but that's it. The only time I'll be back as if I'm invited by friends and family. I will not go on my own. read more

This is an extensive remodel of an old iHOP. Therefore, a friend of mine can't call it anything but iHOP. It's far nicer; cleaner and better run than any other Original Pancake House. I love the menu selections. They have it all from pancakes through crepes and onward to Dutch Babies. Really fresh. Really great! Walmart is building a gas station in the parking lot. This used to be an IHOP and was terrible....so when it became the Original Pancake House, I was cautiously optimistic that it would improve. Luckily, after a few visits, I can confidently say that it has improved. Service is much better-friendly, attentive and quick. The food is good as well-I really liked the biscuits and gravy the most. I'm not sure this is the best breakfast place I've ever been to, but it's pretty solid and much, much better than it's predecessor. We wanted take out so I tried to call in our order. They make you order online and the online ordering goes through Doordash so they don't have to staff employees to answer their phone. They snuck a staff tip on our order even though the order was picked up, not delivered. I didn't agree to tip for nothing. The food was absolute garbage and way too expensive for what we got. We are so happy to have this new location in Riverton ! We checked in with Yelp app & we got seated right away . We went here on 4th of July . It was super busy after we left . Our waitress was so nice & helpful. This interior is retro looking lots of stainless steel . So nice inside . We ordered the California Omelette minus chicken add ham . I added cheese on top because they usually don't put enough cheese in it . This has bacon, onions, tomatoes & avocado on top. Very huge & delicious. I also got the Hawaiian pancakes . These are pineapple & coconut with whip cream & coconut syrup . The best ! My husband ordered Eggs Benedict . When he got his order it was the California Eggs Benedict . Which had ham, tomatoes. avocado & hollandaise sauce . He thought this was really good ! He also got the blueberry pancakes that comes with blueberry syrup these were so good ! They also gave him the Motherlode hash browns which were with onion & green peppers. They was very flavorful & good . Our waitress did not charge us for the up charge for the California style or Motherlode . We would recommend this location . The food is amazing ! Get there early as they do get busy . read more
