We are visiting the SLC area from MT as a last minute weekend getaway before the kids go back to school and I've never considered moving because of a restaurant, but this might be it! We happened along Mil's kind of on accident and we hit the lottery! The staff was very nice--Jessica was a great waitress and took great care of us--even asking about the kids' activities. Several of us had the pancakes and they were melt in your mouth amazing and our son had the sunrise burger and I've never seen a prettier burger! AND they had REAL silverware! Our party of 8 visited this new cafe. We waited for 30 minutes for a table. The cafe was clean, modern, but the highlight of our meal was our kind server, Kinsey. We order country fried steak, pancake, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito, and creamy chicken pasta. The pancakes were delicious, and the gravy was also great! A welcome addition to an area that needed one Bluffdale has not exactly been a dining destination, so when a place like Mil's Cafe opens its doors, the bar starts a little lower than usual. Four months in, they are already clearing it by a comfortable margin. Mil's serves breakfast all day with a lunch menu that kicks in at 10 am, which alone makes it a flexible option for the area. The space is clean, nothing fancy, and could use a little warmth to make it feel more inviting, but the food is doing enough of the heavy lifting to keep you coming back. We ordered across the menu. The breakfast skillet with ham and vegetables came with toasted sourdough that hit the right note, present enough to know it was sourdough but not so aggressively tangy that it takes over the plate. The breakfast croissant with hash browns was buttery and generous, exactly what a croissant based breakfast should be. The Monte Cristo, a ham and gruyere on sourdough dipped in egg batter and grilled rather than fried, was decent but not something I would order again. It is on the menu, it is fine, but it is not the reason to come here. The reason to come here, as it turned out, was the fish and chips. I have a personal rule about ordering fish this far from the ocean unless the restaurant specializes in seafood. Mil's is not that place, but I was in the mood and broke my own rule. I am glad I did. The fish comes in a tempura batter, fried properly, and it was genuinely delicious. I swapped the fries for onion rings and both were excellent. Sometimes the unexpected order is the best one on the table. Service was good, a little slow but nothing that crossed a line. For a party of four the bill came to just over $80, which is on the higher end for a breakfast spot and worth knowing before you go. Four stars and a strong recommendation for anyone in the south valley looking for a real sit down breakfast. The fish and chips alone earned this place a return visit. read more

The south end of the valley is in dire need of more breakfast/brunch places....and Mil recognized that! You know the saying "if you build it, they will come?" Well, the community is showing up. I visited recently and was pleased to find a packed house. The food is good-I enjoyed a breakfast dish while my dining partner had a lunch option. I love that they serve breakfast all day! Badly needed breakfast place in Draper. It's small and cute. The service was decent. Nothing exceptional but certainly not bad in any way. The menu is fun and all the traditional fair and some fun takes on traditional dishes. Their pancakes were very good and the French toast was a favorite. I went to Mil's with my kids because we were hungry and close by. I ordered the club sandwich with fries and my kids got the chocolate chip pancakes with hashbrowns. I believe Mil's is known for their breakfast and I should have ordered some kind of breakfast food because my kids had great food. I like my fries but there wasn't anything special about my sandwich. I will still go back again to try breakfast. The service was fast and the people working there were very friendly. The restaurant was clean and minimally decorated and it's in an area with a good sized parking lot. We went on a weekday and got sat immediately maybe it's busier on the weekend though. read more

Came for breakfast around 11. Walked in and few waiting the counter was open and we like sitting at the counter to see all the kitchen commotion. Ordered coffee and all American breakfast with pancakes Coffee was good. Not watered down at all but also good strong Got my plate and I assumed I'd get one pancake since you are subbing for toast! It was two huge pancakes. The pancakes are delicious. Ricotta pancakes. 100 percent try them. The other stuff was pretty basic but solid. I think only complaint or I thought to myself umm not sure if I like this. Is garlic salt in potato's or maybe they put too much on mine. But they were still good. Staff was friendly. Older gentleman working behind counter seemed like owner was also friendly and attentive to us. The place is clean since it just opened up. This is a solid breakfast spot in the south end of the SL Valley. Glad we're getting some good eateries down here. It was pretty busy on a Sunday mid morning, but we love sitting at the bar area and were seated right away. We got front row to the kitchen action! The staff does pretty well with keeping up, although busy. I can see how stressful the kitchen life is and definitely builds my appreciation for the work they do. The staff were all very friendly and our waitress, Cierra was attentive. Thank you! I love cleanliness in restaurants and appreciated how they had an open employee hand washing station right at the bar area. It helps encourage good hygiene and several times I saw employees washing hands. I decided to go all out this time and try the regular French toast and added two scrambled eggs. The French toast was nice n thick, although a tad dry. The eggs were just that, scrambled eggs! The coffee was good too. Thanks Mils Cafe! We'll be back. read more

The service was awesome. They very very pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was pleasant. We had breakfast. I had an omelete with fruit and pancakes. My husband had ham & eggs. Everything was delicious. The fruit bowl wasn't the normal fruit. It was berries and some bananas. Yum. Hasbrowns has special seasoning that really made them different than most. We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The restaurant was super clean, the staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. My Partner had the guacamole burger and he said it was one of the best he's ever had. Even the side of fruit was excellent and beyond my expectations. I had the Baja chicken salad with Baja Catalina dressing and I loved it. The owner was super nice and he took the time to tell us about his past and the food on the menu. I wish we lived closer so that we could go here more often. My only complaint was that some of the menu items seemed a bit expensive. I paid about $22.00 for my burger with a cup of fruit (with no fries) and my drink was extra. read more

Good little hidden brunch spot that just opened. I agree with the one star review about the seating wait, however I think that person had a bad experience because there are not enough servers for all of the tables even though there were empty tables throughout the restaurant & that's why there's a wait. We decided to eat at the counter where we got to see the hustle of the kitchen staff. They put in a lot of extra work to make sure the dishes are correct and presentable. We had a build your own skillet with big chunks of corned beef, eggs, spinach, mushrooms, onions, & cheddar. You can build your own skillet or omelette but with the skillet you get to choose 3 veggie toppings whereas the omelette you're being charged per topping & meat. Wish the potatoes were more grilled , it tasted like par boiled. Coffee was excellent, rich and flavorful. Portions are big enough to share. They have gluten free bread and pancakes. I chose the pancakes and I couldn't tell the difference of it had gluten or not. They were very tasty. Try their fresh made raspberry jam. When you enter the restaurant we were seated to the right for the first time and I feel like that's the VIP section because it's closest to the kitchen. Drinks were refilled expeditiously, we were asked if we needed anything more frequently than usual. I know I shouldn't base my review on this one visit but my family and I or just my hubs and myself have been coming in and in feel like they've finally have gotten in their groove from opening day, but you just feel extra special if you get to sit in one of these two booths! read more

Food here is AMAZING! My husband and I went for brunch. We got the breakfast burrito, which came wet with a salsa verde, which added fantastic flavor. We also got the stuffed Nutella French toast and added strawberries. It was the perfect amount of bread to Nutella ratio and the fruit definitely enhanced the dish. Went in today closeish to closing and the servers were so kind and didn't make me feel rushed or guilty. Our server (I wish I remembered her name) was personable and gave good recommendations and talked with us. The food was delicious. Extremely Disappointed by the Inconsistent and Unprofessional Service We visited this new brunch spot today as a group of four adults and two small children (ages 1 and 3). When we arrived, we were told the wait time would be 30-45 minutes -- and at that moment, we were the only party waiting. We initially decided to leave because that felt unusually long. As we were walking out, we noticed a table for four that had just finished their meal and were about to leave. I asked the front hostess if we could take that table, mentioning that two of our party were small children who would be in high chairs. She told us yes, but that they needed a little time to clean it. We agreed and waited. During the 15-20 minutes we waited, several other groups arrived. To our surprise, another group was seated before us. When I asked about it, a different hostess told me we were considered a party of six and that it would take more time. I explained that the first hostess had already told us we could take the four-person table since two were small children. She said she would check. A few minutes later, we were told that the manager decided they could not seat us at a four-person table after all. What made this experience extremely disappointing was not the seating policy itself, but the lack of consistency and communication. We were explicitly told we could take that table, waited nearly 20 minutes based on that confirmation, and then were turned away while watching other groups be seated. If the answer had been "no" from the beginning, we would have respected that and left immediately. Instead, we were left feeling frustrated, misled, and frankly unwelcome. We hope the restaurant can improve its communication, fairness, and professionalism moving forward. read more

We went for lunch. We were placed at one of the worst tables right next to where all the servers conjugate. When we got our drinks, I noticed my glass had a lipstick stain on it. We ordered the Club sandwich and a Belgian Waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. The fries that came with the club were cooked well but had no flavor/seasoning. The sandwich was tasty, but it was difficult to eat because of the height. It also came on white bread instead of sour dough. The waffle was good, but it did not come with butter/syrup. The strawberries were very tart and tasted like canned strawberries or possibly even raspberries. The whipped cream melted too fast and the overall too bland and tart. read more
