Delicious authentic New York style pizza! My family loves this local, family owned pizza shop in Broomfield! I honestly cannot speak on their other menu items because we have only tried the pizza. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because when I went to pick up my order there was a very rude/obnoxious employee. She was not being rude to any customers at least, but she was yelling at and demeaning another employee right in front of all the customers! The kitchen is open to the rest of the restaurant so you can see and hear everything. Not, that she was trying to hide it at all. It seemed like she was trying to embarrass him. I was wondering if they were related like siblings because she was not holding back at all. She was repeatedly yelling at him that he was slow and incompetent. I wouldn't mention it unless it was really bad. I thought it was so unprofessional and made their business as a whole look dysfunctional. Also, they didn't have a/c last summer, not sure if that will still be an issue this year. Not a big deal if you order take out but wouldn't be enjoyable to dine-in during the summer. This place used to be my favorite local pizza place, but the food prep has really suffered. I had to ask for sauce with my pizza because apparently "double sauce" means no sauce. Since there was no sauce, the pizza was horribly overcooked like a cracker. Unfortunately the service has suffered as well. One glass of water the whole time I was there. This is one where I wish Yelp allowed separate ratings for food vs customer service. I'll start with the food. This is a five star rating all the way. Absolutely the best pizza in the area. Genuine NY Italian food that provides me wonderful taste of home. The customer service is another thing all together. If there was a zero star rating they deserve it. The ladies at the cashier are about as rude as anybody I have ever met, and I grew up in NY. They continually get orders wrong, offer nothing when things aren't done right, and blame you when you question them. And the final straw for me today was showing up when told my order was going to be 90 minutes, waiting 110 minutes only to have them bring out an order that had an item missing (an entire pizza, not just a side order), and then try to argue that the order wasn't even late. Perhaps this is because the lady behind the counter is taking the orders while holding her infant child rather than focusing on her customers. We will be back for the food, but just beware, it will come with a source of aggravation. read more

Called in for a pickup order at about 6pm. Phone was answered quickly even though it sounded busy. Lady on the phone was very nice, took my order and said it would be ready in about 35-40 mins. Once I got to the restaurant it was easy to figure out where to pay/pickup my order. I was helped quickly and on my way home with probably some of the best pizza I've had in Colorado. Have been a huge fan for over 12 years. But after yesterday I won't be going back. Stopped in at lunchtime to pick up three slices to go. It took 25 minutes. Several people who walked in after me received their orders. Perhaps they ordered ahead of time? The owner asked me what I ordered. When I told him, he said 'they're still working on it'. Then walked away without an apology. He could care less that I was waiting for so long. I'm a New Yorker and I get the crabby, rude pizza personas at pizza joints. But usually they hustle and your pizza is out in three minutes. I felt badly for the only waitress who was handling phone orders, walk ins and diners. But to be ignored like that by the owner who could care less that I had been waiting so long and did nothing to expedite my simple order is wrong. The absolute best pizza and dinners that I have eaten since I left NYC IN 2012!!! I felt like I was transported back to Brooklyn. It has the look and feel of a typical "red sauce joint" back in the old neighborhood! It's about a 30 minute drive from home, but totally worth the trip. We tried the pizza, both cheese and pepperoni. Nice crispy crust with a nice chew! Just the right amount of sauce and nice gooey cheese. We also tried the chicken parmigiana, manicotti and spaghetti with sausage. All dishes were rockstar quality. Ordered a large garlic and pepperoni pizza. It says "lots of garlic" on the menu, but I didn't think it would be two entire bulbs of garlic worth. My girlfriend is Jewish and LOVES garlic but it was too much even for her. Also I normally don't complain when there's extra meat but the entire pizza was covered in pepperoni you literally can't see or taste the cheese. The crust was great though. I was able to eat it by wiping off the excess garlic so it didn't go to waste. All-in-all, could use more cheese, a LOT less garlic. read more

When you walk in the door, you'll notice a counter with the cash register on the front, and the normal warming tray area with the glass screen on the left. Instead of food in this section, there is a baby bed and toys, right next to the dishes and boxes that are used for food. The baby was not there when we noticed the bed, as the owner(? or maybe wife?) had taken the baby into the back kitchen area to walk around. I personally found that really unsanitary. The food is mediocre. The pizza had a full ladle of grease sitting on top of it, and a single slice took at least one full napkin to mop up enough to be presentable. The garlic bread with cheese is just tasteless, buttery bread with a glob of cheese on top. Everyone on these reviews raves about their sauce, and I honestly found it to be average. I've been looking for a place to eat Italian dishes other than pizza that is like the "red sauce and red tablecloth" places I grew up with in NY. So I haven't eaten the pizza here. Today, I had the house salad and the eggplant parmagiana hero/sub which they call a "sandwich" (?). The salad is not a good value: for $5 you get a small plate of greens with several black olives and tiny chopped tomatoes with what appears to be store-bought Italian dressing. The sub was rather tasteless. I didn't get a whole lot of eggplant flavor, there was a lot of cheese, and the sauce was rather thin and didn't really shout "tomato" or "seasonings." So I'm still searching for an Italian restaurant in the area without having to go into Denver or Boulder. read more

We were so excited to find New York style pizza (seriously lacking around here). We order our pies well done. A coworker told me about this place, usually when I am seeking pizza I will go to Anthony's or Abo's. This place puts out some good New York style pie. I met my son here for dinner and he is an Anthony's loyalist so I was anxious to hear his appraisal of this place. The place was pretty busy with sit down customers and people waiting for their carryout. The place is quaint and comfortable and the service was good. The prices are decent we had 2 ice teas and a large 18" pizza ( 1/2 mushrooms/onions, 1/2 pepperoni ) all for $ 25.00. The pizza was real good, foldable, plenty of toppings and cheese that leaves a trail coming out of your mouth. My son said it's a little better than Anthony's and a cut above Abo's.
