The guy…read moretested my battery and told me I needed a new one but said it's not totally done for and that it can be jumped. He quoted me a replacement battery at $264 and some change which seemed like a crazy high price (granted I have not had to buy a new battery since my last car and so it's been many years) I figured I could get one cheaper and get someone to put it in and the guy said to text him and he would come back and do it for $60 (my SUV has a hard to reach battery because it's tucked back under a piece of plastic not right in front like my old SUV) I got my jump and headed up to Poway (where I was headed that morning) asked my mom who lives in the area to make a few calls while I was driving up so I could maybe get it taken care of first thing. One shop quoted $300 for battery and install (that was a wake up call) when she called Auto Zone Sergio said my battery was $200 and he could do install it for me. Let me tell you while my car battery was not crazy hard to change (don't need a mechanic but do need to know a socket wrench from a screw driver) it was a lot more then just removing a battery and placing a new one in its place there was parts to remove and get out of the way first. Purchased 4 5100 shocks for my Ram a year and a half ago, from 4 Wheel parts. Shocks had a limited…read morelifetime warranty I had service done 2 days ago and they noticed one of the shocks had blown. Now industry standard says you have to return to the point of purchase, buy a new shock then the company will send the shock back to Bilstein for them to exam and decide if it's a malfuntion of production. I called Bilstein to see if they could help with the process so I wouldn't have to purchase a new one and wait for reimbursement. Got an an email for Lisa Ciacci, warranty manager, sent her my receipt of purchas and photos of the blown shock Lisa got back to me and, yes industry standard was the way I had to go, yuck! But after taking to her more, she said even though the shocks were on backorder, she would sent me a new shock and I wouldn't have go thru the excruciating pain of industry standard. Lisa Ciacci was such a great help and a true ambassador for Bilstein, glad to know that some companies stand by their product, good for you Bilstein and thank you Lisa. I am will be a life long customer of Bilstein!

The TPMS sensors have been bothering me for nearly a year. I felt like the dealership was brushing me off and overcharging me on troubleshooting. Heard everything from the dealership... it doesn't need to be replaced...drive the car a couple of miles...let the tires warm up...the psi is too low for the TPMS to detect it...(it takes 15miles to get to the dealership)... or just let it blink, it will eventually turn off...(yeah, when I'm no longer driving)... or you probably don't notice that it turned off... I've heard so many excuses from the dealership... and Firestone fixed the TPMS in one visit.

I asked her, I dont think my car moved... she then replied, ohh yeah we haven't started it yet. Knowing they were gonna closing in 5 min. I dont know how they would get to it in 5 min. As i asked for my key, she asked "are you sure, we can get it done in 30 min".... hmmmm, I ended up taking the car home still needing two front tires.

First off, Dillon is the man!…read more Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to share my experience. I had been noticing my truck starting just a little bit differently than usual over the past couple of days and my first thought was the battery was starting to go. Truck is a 2022 and has about 80,000 miles so I knew it was getting to be that time. Not having a ton of time before the weekend I stopped by O'Reilly and parked right up front. Dillon and the other guy were both assisting customers so when he was free I asked if he could test my battery to confirm my suspicion. Dillon asked if I minded waiting until the other guy wrapped up assisting someone outside so I hung around for a few minutes. Once the other employee came back in, Dillon grabbed his tester and came with me to my truck to test it. Sure enough, he said it failed the test and we went back inside so he could check which battery I needed. He looked the battery up quickly and made his suggestion for the recommended one that comes with a 4-year warranty. I paid for the battery and asked if he minded me swapping it out right there. He lent me a socket wrench, a 10mm and a 13mm and within about ten minutes I was carrying my old battery back in. It was a great experience and it was cool being able to talk cars a bit with Dillon while he was helping me out. It's always great having positive experiences in stores like this and is what keeps me frequenting the same stores over and over again. O'Reilly is a fantastic store for auto parts and assistance but guys like Dillon make it an even better experience.
