Ted, the owner is overly friendly and a border line creep. I attended Ladies Night and while price is good and the other instructor Ken was very nice and helpful, I do not feel comfortable going again. Long story short, this old man stroked my arm, puckered his lips, and full on planted a kiss on my bruise that I had received from the bow. I was flabbergasted. Ted also laced his fingers with my friend mid high five. We also witnessed him guiding a lady with a hand on her lower back. Our family visited on Beginner Archery Night (Thursday and Fridays) and we had a lot of fun! Luke and Ted are wonderful instructors. Luke explained instructions well and was patiently teaching my son how to carefully use a bow. Ted was always available and willing to answer questions and I appreciated how they kept a close eye on the range. Safety seemed paramount and made learning around a bunch of flying arrows still feel safe. This family operated business seems to love what they do. They carry recurve bows, have a decent selection of equipment, offer one on one hourly instruction, and it looks like their space can be rented for work events/birthday parties. They charge a range and equipment fee but the equipment fee is waived if you have your own bow and arrows. This was my first ever experience in a archery range, staff was super patient, it was the best experience ever

I loved it here! The owner was super patient and he was an excellent teacher. He has a contagious upbeat and fun personality. He had us laughing from the moment we entered. On Thursdays & Fridays from 6:30pm to 8:30pm he has a beginners class. It's a drop in so no pre-registration. It's $11 per person and that does include the equipment you'll use like a wrist guard. He prefers cash. I went on Amazon and bought our own wrist guards for next time since that's probably more sanitary. It's a couple extra bucks if you want your own paper target to take home. I had zero experience with archery but by the time we left I was really close to the target. Haha. It's super safe, he makes sure of it. He shows you all the safety rules. The night we went it was only 3 of us, one was a young teenager. I was impressed with her skill after only going for a month. We had a blast having our date night. We are going again soon. It's great to support this small business and it's such a great deal. I like having good clean family entertainment in the middle of Auburn where there's not much else. Definitely give archery a try. Such a super fun and affordable experience! My girl friends and I are visiting from out of state. We dropped in for the $12 Ladies night lesson (first Saturday of every month from 6-8 PM). Tl;dr : Excellent! Ted is very helpful and nice! *Cash only for now* I'm a beginner at Archery and was visiting Washington for work. I stumbled upon Orion by chance and made it a mission to come through and check it out. I was greeted by Ted and was immediately engaged in conversation with him. Lots of space to shoot and a big area to watch people shoot. If you've ever wanted to try archery, I'd go here to try. From the signs on the windows, it looks like they do lessons and in groups too! Kid friendly as well if your kids want to try. Ted was very helpful with getting me set up to use the range. I'm still trying to find out which poundage of bow I feel comfortable with and he helped me out with choosing the right bow. He even gave me a quick run down on how to shoot with a sight (never used one before, way different) Throughout the whole time I was shooting, he was giving me tips on how to better my form and what to concentrate on. My 10 year old daughter attended a camp a few weeks ago and had a great experience. This was her first lesson. Ted made it very fun while getting her to make gentle corrections. He is very patient and head her shooting a triple folded dollar bill at 15 yards! Ted did a great job at keeping her engaged and she listened intently to his instruction. At the end of 5 days she made noticeable improvements. He covered proper form, range safety, competition rules, and mind set. Ted also gave me a few tips that dramatically improved my shooting. The range itself is very nice. He also has a descent selection of bows and gear at reasonable prices. He has COVID protocol's in place to keep everyone feeling safe. We haven't touched our bows for like 4 years, I didn't even remember how to string my recurve bow. Ted was extremely pleasant and patient (and funny), walked us through everything and gave us really nice instruction throughout our stay there. We happened upon this place looking for some guidance for my 12 year old daughter who has no experience, but wants to learn archery. The owner Ted is one of the nicest people I've ever met. He took the time to orient my daughter to the basics He let her try some of their bows and arrows and is helping us adjust her bow. He even took photos of my daughter and both of us throughout the session with my phone to make sure we had lots of good memories. My wife wanted to try archery for the first time for her birthday, so I reserved a thirty minute private lesson with her and my ten and twelve year old girls. We had an absolute blast! Ted was extremely patient and great with the kids, and we were shooting at targets within just a few minutes. Ted stayed nearby throughout, providing tips and a bit of humor as we steadily increased in proficiency. So nice to have an instructor that's as eager as the students, as Ted was constantly attaching balloons to the targets for the kids and offering encouragement. The target bales will not handle a hunting bow- punched through bale and into wood. Trashed an arrow. When asked for refund, was told to turn poundage down and shoot. This is a 65 # bow I was sighting in for hunting. Uh no I am not going to turn the poundage down. Sad , because I was looking for ward to having a legit archery range for winter shooting. read more

My wife and I live in Renton and we recently purchased compound bows. Unfortunately there wasn't a nearby range to enjoy this new sport.....UNTIL NOW. Orion Archery isn't too far away from us and it's INDOORS, YEAH!! One of the best archery places I've been to. The owner is attentive and very helpful. They are well stocked with supplies if needed. The range itself has plenty of room and the target bails are a target shooters dream. I've seen Ted provide help to both new archers and those with experience needing some pointers.
