Over the last 4 years, we have been getting our fishing gear at this sporting goods store. They…read moreseem to have most of the items in stock and reasonable prices for almost everything that we need for fishing. The non-fishing apparel - caps, clothes, gloves are usually never on sale even though you can get a little of a discount for being a member. But that's about it, really. You hardly see brands like Columbia, Under Armour or others go on sale. Even when they have the annual tent sales during the Summer in August, hardly see things on sale that much. As for customer service, guess it depends on the days, because we have received mostly great to pretty bad and slow services on different days we have visited this store location in Fife, on occasion. We still shop for our fishing gear here as we like the selection and variety of items for different fishing seasons - Salmon, Steelhead and Trout.

I had an issue just Tuesday and Kim in the shipping department took care of it for Ina timely manner & really showed up for me. Her customer service was top notch!! Thanks Kim for helping me out with my issue and making sure I didn't go this weekend without what I ordered! The value is good if you need extra deals I suggest ordering through Walmart. Don't hate me but it's true!!

I'm pursuing horseback archery, which requires a specific type of bow. 7 Meadows Archery is the sole North American distributor for Hungarian bowmaker István Tóth. The bows are made in the style of his nomadic ancesteors, the Huns and the Magyars. The showroom is by appointment, but Kim is really flexible and welcoming. They'd just returned from a convention, so the showroom was a bit chaotic, but Kim still knew what stock was available. She understood my physical requirements and suggested several bows. They have a short range target so you can test the bows. Kim answered all of my questions, was really friendly and chatty, asking about where I practice and how I got interested in it. It was really low-pressure too, which I appreciated. She wasn't constantly trying to make the sale. They have a variety of styles of bows with all different weights and purposes listed on their website, which you can buy online. The benefit of going to the showroom is the ability to try them out. It really pushed the experience from 4 stars to 5. The products come with a warranty and they're more than happy to take questions/concerns even after the warranty. Kim said that she'd rather I come back if I have any problems--even if the warranty is over, or doesn't cover the type of problem. She expressed that she didn't want customers to take the bows to someone who doesn't know about this type of bows and make the problem worse. It's not inexpensive, but archery equipment rarely is. You'll be paying $300+ for a bow, but you can tell the quality in the craftsmanship just by looking at them.

I wasn't buying anything either but am very interested in Hungarian Bows. Just by listening, I gathered some cool information. One guy would be helping then walk away then another would come over. It seems a bit disorganized. Also, I was told someone would call when my background check came back, but based on the reviews, I decided to call and found out I had passed with no notification. I reached out by email to someone about another issue, which I later realized was not an issue and my husband made a mistake, but they were very good at reaching out and trying to rectify the situation, which I appreciated. Bottom line, there needs to be better training for the guys at the gun counter. Most of them are knowledgeable and helpful, but definitely a lot of disorganization with helping of customers and getting/communicating information.

He wouldn't honor it. Off to somewhere else to shop for me.

They also have camp cookware, fuel canisters, and freeze-dried foods. They also carry solar-powered electronics, battery chargers, and other devices. This place is like a supercenter for outdoor recreational activities. I could spend extra hours in the store, just browsing, and marveling at all the options they have. Some of my favorite items are The Walker's Digital Electronic Earmuffs for indoor shooting protection and the Salty Crew Apex Perforated Long-Sleeve Hooded Sunshirt for style. Although several items are pricey, they do offer memberships and various discounts to reduce the damage to your pockets. I usually frequent this place twice a month, sometimes just for a browse for sales or to find items that I do not currently have on hand that will be very useful in the future. Oh, and I just absolutely love interacting with service reps because they actually love what they do in their job. If you or someone you know enjoys adventurous outdoor activities, there aren't many places that have the quality and quantity that Bass Pro Shop offers.
