I saw the reviews on Google and yelp for Orkin and decided to take a chance, and they may have new management, but my inspector Dorian who set everything up was great. He was extremely thorough. He easily Made a great plan to help us take care of a mouse infestation in our house. He mad a plan to seal every entry point from the roof to the foundation and helped us remediate our attic space. It wasn't the cheapest, but I have been with other companies and I can definitely say everything was the best quality. No corners cut and if you want premium protection, this is definitely It. I've used cheaper local companies and also similar large companies like Batzner. Orkin is definitely the best in my experience. I definitely recommend requesting Dorian. read more

Orkin New Berlin (Bob Lee) quoted my 88-year-old mother $20,000 to remediate the attic of her home. During the project Orkin damaged the finished ceiling in the garage. ORKIN (bob Lee) advised to wait for an insurance claim company to call and that the ceiling repair would be taken care of. 30 days later no call from their insurance carrier. In addition, Bob Lee the Branch Manager would not respond to our calls and concerns. ORKIN (Bob Lee) also signed my mother up for financing and turned the invoice over to a loan company without her knowledge. My mother intended to pay in full when the project was completed. Bob Lee or Robert Lee (goes by both names) who is the Branch manager is not trustworthily. This guy WILL FOOL you. ORKIN MISLED and lied. We are now seeking legal to seek damages to the ceiling and will report misrepresenting financing to the BBB and others. Terrible customer service all around. I purchased a home where the seller was able to choose the company for bat removal/ prevention and the removal/ replacement of insulation affected by bat guano. They were late to the job on multiple occasions, no-call/no showed once without rescheduling and seemed overall very unprofessional. There were little to no updates along the entire process which took over 2 weeks to complete and were completely unaware we had live bats in the attic when they went to start the work which further delayed the process. I would highly recommend getting an estimate from them to use as a negotiation tactic with another company for any work you intend on doing or need done. I can't understate how frustrating this entire process was.. time is money and both are very valuable to me, they didn't even care to apologize for abusing my time and seemed completely aloof to showing up late and or their lack of professionalism. I'm hoping everything was taken care of properly... hoping being the keyword. read more

Poor customer service, unreliable and no follow through. I called 10 days ago requesting to speak with a manager and have yet to receive a call back. On more than one occasion, the technician didn't know why they were at our house and didn't have the equipment needed to complete our service. In addition, I have yet to have a technician show up during the timeframe scheduled. Each person you talk with tells you a different story and blames the other person. Their own technicians don't believe in the company or products. For example, The last technician we had told us that many people were having problems with Orkin and that someone else may be able to help us. Sad their own employees notice there is something wrong. Oh wow, no wonder they have that many bad reviews. Horrible service from the start. I don't live in the house I wanted service for so I asked them strongly to keep the appointment as I need to travel 3 hours for it. They rescheduled a Saturday morning app at 5:10pm on Friday night to the next Monday because the technician had a wedding he needed to attend to. I asked to be assigned to someone else and they said that everyone left for the weekend already and nothing can be done. Needless to say I contacted someone else but I lost 2 weeks because of this, 2 weeks the mice can multiply. read more

I wished I would have read reviews before I signed up with Orkin. It has been a nightmare. Started with seeing signs of mice in my garage. Someone came out and put down some bait traps. Next an inspector came out and went through different things and gave me suggestions on what should be done. Because at that time I trusted the company and signed a contract. Not cheap $13, 000.00. When guys showed up was told could not do Orkin shield around my whole house because of liability reasons. Had to negotiate that contract. Day 2 was suppose to increase insulation above the house and remove installation above garage where you could see mouse droppings. They did increase the insulation above the house, but left a mess in my rocks of insulation and also did some damage to the frame in the ceiling where they climbed up to do the insulation. That day couldn't do the garage because communication is terrible. Day 3 came and couldn't finish. Again poor communication. Their work hours are basically 11 to 2. Beginning to wonder if I needed any of this even done. I have emailed the district manager a couple of times, but as of today have not heard anything. read more

Began Orkin in July 2023. My mouse problem got worse after hiring Orkin. I have never had the same technician and they have no idea where the bait boxes are. After 6 months of increased mice activity I had a 2nd inspection with someone new. Dexter was great and explained where the issues were. Signed up for Orkin shield and remediation to fix the issues. They showed up to do the orkin sheild and never read the full work order for remediation. Ended up having to leave to go get more supplies. After the work was completed, I was told not to put anything back in my storage rooms until I had another inspection of the work completed. After a month of no one calling to set up an appointment I finally called and they got it scheduled. I would not recommend Orkin to anyone. The service has been terrible and I have to remind them to do their job. Highly disappointed in choosing to hire Orkin. Update: after calling to get an inspection set up. The good: Orkin eliminated our carpenter ant problem after just one visit. We had a big ol' infestation in our cathedral ceiling. We didn't know about it, except for the occasional ant we'd see here and there in the house. But it was summer, and you expect a few bugs. Then we saw one, just a normal sized black ant, crawl out from under our ceiling light fixture, right where it affixes to the ceiling. That's a little weird, we thought as over the next few days we would see one or two more doing the same thing. Then we put 2 and 2 together and realized that they must have been attracted to the area where the roof leaked in Spring. We called Orkin, they came out, poked a small hole in the ceiling and puffed in some powder. Within minutes, it was raining dying ants as they scampered out of the hole trying to get away from the poison. It was both disgusting and delightful to see. I was vacuuming up dead carcasses for the rest of the day as they continued to fall out of the hole. Over the next few days, there were fewer and fewer bodies until, by the end of the week, I was lucky to find more than two at any given time. By the middle of the second week, the carnage had stopped. We were ant free! Along with the treatment for the carpenter ants, the technician put a couple of sticky traps in our basement windowsills because there had been evidence of mouse activity just before we moved in (we have cats and have not seen evidence of ANY activity since we arrived). He also sprayed the perimeter of the exterior of the house to keep any creepy-crawlies out. On a follow up visit, he sprayed a bumble bee nest in our front yard, making it safe to garden and mow the lawn again. The bad: Just as the other reviewer said, we had an appointment where the technician did not show up. We did not wait as long as they did, however, and called immediately after the deadline. We were told he was on vacation. We asked why they didn't think to call us or just send another tech? No answer. A manager came on the line, apologized and said that he, personally, would come out the following day. He did, right on time. I wish that guy could have been the tech to come out each time afterwards, actually. Any appointment after that, if the tech was running late, he called to let us know. Someone must have impressed upon him the butt-chewing that the company would get if the no-show thing ever happened again (even though it was not HIS fault). The ugly: Orkin makes you sign up for a year's worth of service (they come out every other month, but if you need them to come in the off month, they will). In the south, I can see the need, but up north? We were paying for winter months when insects are dormant. There was no additional evidence of mice, and anyway, we have cats. The only *nice* thing, I guess, was that our service started in Summer, so we were still under contract the following Spring for them to do an inspection. Thankfully, we had no more problems, old or new. Cancellation was an easy process with just the bare minimum of pressure to stay under contract. While I don't like that aspect of the company, I would definitely say that they know what they are doing and that their stuff works. I would call them again, if the need ever arises. Another plus? The stuff they used was harmful only to insects so, neither we nor our pets were in danger of ingesting or inhaling something toxic. 10/2016 read more

they don't do the work but expect to still get paid, the last time they were out here was Feb 2022 Ive paid $88 and when they stopped the service they keep billing me . I'm harassed at least twice a week. And quit frankly its very expensive mice food. read more

DON'T USE THEM!!! Orkin started out fine when they started my year long flying ants issue that were found in my house. However, after about 6 months, their follow through on appointments were horrible. They either didn't show up or came when I didn't know they were coming. Their automated system of appointment set-ups and notifications do not work. I reluctantly had them come this summer (2021) for mosquitos and I still had a lot of mosquitos. They have become too big and this type of service happens when corporations become to big that they cannot handle their customers. I mistakenly recommended them to a friend and they gave her the run around by either not responding to her initial inquires and showing up at her house for a consult without her knowing they were coming. The people answering the phones do not give you accurate information. DON'T USE THEM!!! read more

This place is terrible. Absolutely terrible. Before you read anything DO NOT GO TO ANY ORKIN ESTABLISHMENT! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. We have been trying to work with Orkin for a full month now. Randy was the liason and told us to organize our house, which for us required eveyone to take off work and to purchase a hotel. We spent everything we had to have this done. Our date for the exterminator was to be the week after Randys visit and when that day came, nobody showed up. We called Orkin and they said they had nothing scheduled for us (keep in mind we are missing work and have paid for a hotel room). They also had our credit card on file. After complaining they sent someone out to come to the house, but the exterminator said he could not work.on our house because it wasnt organized properly. EVEN THOUGH WE FOLLOWED RANDYS INSTRUCTIONS! A new schedule was set where we would properly organize the house. Again Randy came and the schedule was set. Again we took off of work and again we set up a hotel room. Tomorrow we were supposed to have an exterminator come by but per chance we decided to check today and make sure we still were scheduled. Two things happen. 1.) Randy quit wothout even telling us at 5pm today, before which he was supposed to come here and examine our house. WE SPOKE WITH HIM DIRECTLY AND HE DIDNT TELL US HE QUIT UNTIL THE 3RD PHONE CALL TODAY. We talked with RANDY the ENTIRE DAY AND WHEN HE IS SUPPOSED TO SHOW HE TOLD US HE QUIT 2.) Orkin didnt even have us scheduled AGAIN! They somehow canceled our extermination date WITHOUT TELLING US and again we TOOK OFF WORK AND REORGANIZED THE ENTIRE HOUSE! WE HAVE WASTED SO MUCH TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE THAT IT IS NOT WORTH IT! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take your business elsewhere! If my yelp elite status means absolutely ANYTHING please believe me NOW! .They are horrible at keep follow up appoitment. The first time when we had appointment, the technician came on time. However, after we paid in full and supposed to be follow up treatment, nobody showed up. The appointment was last Wednesday 11 to 3 and my husband waited all day long. After 5 pm and no one called and showed up. When he called the branch, operator said someone is comming right then. After 5:30 and still no one. We called them again and same delaying. We had to rescheduled to today 9 to 11. Guess what? No call and no show by 12 pm. When we call them again, the so call manager said they gave the thech wrong time and wants us to wait for 2 to 5 pm. Called for quote, the sales company is based out of GA. The sold me a contract for 700 dollars and when the actual reps showed up (4 hours late) they said they were not doing the service I paid for. That service was a different one time fee and would have to be scheduled for a later date. They even said the sales reps just want to sell you a contract, not what you actually need. I gave 2 stars but only because one of 1 of 4 technicians we had in 2 yr period was pretty good. Horrible follow up. They don't respond to calls. They spray haphazardly and leave spots on windows etc. they came to address mice problem, left traps, etc and never came back. Even after multiple calls to office.do not recommend! read more

We used their services happily for the past few years, Unfortunately that came to an abrupt change this spring. In April 2014, the technician came out to treat, no complaints. Then, no one contacted us to set up anymore appointments, but the bills kept coming in. We paid for May, June, and July's bills but never received treatment or services that we had contracted for. We contacted the service managers, Rick and Art in July, August, September, in October, and again in November. We were assured initially that it was going to be taken care of and services would be provided to make up for the bills that we had paid where no services were rendered. That never happened. After months of this, we gave up. We asked for a full refund for 3 months of payment for which the services were not provided. We were informed that a technician came out on 5/24/14 to spray the outdoors, which we had not contracted for. We were treating indoors only. We were told we would receive a refund, which is now December, and nothing has arrived. Today, was the last straw. We received a collections notice for $68.79! I have no idea what it is for, since I paid for 3 months I never received services for. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. read more

I called and scheduled an apt with orkin. The technician called and had to reschedule the original date. Well talking with the technician we discovered that my address was wrong and located my residence in another state. I was informed he would have someone call to have my address corrected and reschedule. I ended up calling and rescheduling. On the day of the appointment I arrived 30 minutes early and past a orkin technician parked on the side of my road. 30 minutes after the scheduled time I received a call from a dispatcher tell me we have to reschedule due to overbooking. I was upset. Between all the mix-ups it was already about a month before this appointment. Now, I drove past the orkin car parked on the side of my road and a hour later and (30 minutes late for the appointment), I received a call that I have to reschedule. The person on the phone apologize, but was obviously didn't care. read more
