I've had 2 interactions with Batzner in the past 2 years. They were hired by my landlords to take care of the absolutely crazy pest problem we have... You see, I am terrified of 8-legged arachnids. They know this, so they plot various attacks in an attempt to drive me out of the house (it's a duplex). Most recently, 3 such evil spawns that were - legit - larger than my husband's hand bombarded the front door while I was outside with my dog, thus preventing me from entering. Thank goodness my husband was home to execute the intruders. In addition to the Jurassic Park sized arachnids, I have house centipedes the size of a mouse zooming around. Now, I have an agreement with these dudes: they can survive and eat the arachnids as long as they remain in the basement. Breaking this agreement generally does not fare well for them. Do you know what it's like to be laying peacefully on the carpet watching a movie, and a "cockamouse" comes running out of nowhere at 90 mph and brushes your hand?! It's seriously yucky. Batzner to the rescue! They showed up within a couple days of calling. They treat all around the outside and inside the house, wherever you would like. The service techs they have sent out have been very friendly, funny, and my dog likes them (that's always a good sign). The treatments we've experienced lasted 8-10 months. Because I didn't hire them, I am unsure of the rates (hence, 4 stars). As long as they can effectively keep the nasties away, they are good with me! read more

We had a slight bed bug infestation at a group home. Called Batzner for help and it took over 2 weeks to come and treat. They returned 2 weeks later and treated again, returned 2 weeks later and treated again. Was told at the last 2 rechecks all was clear. That was not the case. Monday February 16, 2026 at 9 am they returned for a recheck and I was told all clear. By Tuesday February 17, 2026 at 2 am, bites were apparent, which caused a severe allergic reaction necessitating a trip to the clinic. I found the bed bugs where the technician cleared and said all good. Called Batzner Feb,17, 18, 19, 20, 23. I am still waiting for that phone call within 24 hours!! $4000 for what? 3 trips to the emergency room and still have issues. read more

This company used to be family owned and since selling to another pest control company ( who kept the family name) there service has tanked! They have a nationwide call center that has no idea what they are doing. We cancelled our contract with them the first week of Jan. and made sure that they cancelled an appt. that had been set up for the 16 th.....well true to form we just got a phone call from one of the field agents letting us know he would be arriving soon!..we informed him we had cancelled our contract three weeks ago and that I would be leaving an unfavorable review ....so here it is! read more

I wish I could rate Batzner with ZERO stars because their work is worth nothing! They have a great salesman, Jim, who will convince you to approve extremely expensive interior and exterior pest prevention. Batzner DOESN'T do the work! They sub it out and in our case, we were charged $800 for a 30 minutes of a guy laying a bit of chicken wire over a hole. NOT what was contracted for! DO NOT CALL!!! Let this be your warning ‼. They have been sold to big corporate and they took full advantage. What makes a good company? Service and standing by their service to ensure customer satisfaction if you ask me. $850 service charge to sub contract out to someone else who spent 5 minutes at my house to set up a trap for squirrel activity in my basement which was never caught nor did they address the core issue by identifying and sealing holes. A week later picked up traps and went on their way. Highway Robbery!!! Batzner never came to the house and never followed up once. How can you justify in any way your service being worth that charge. I will be continuing to write reviews anywhere I can to protect others!!! I posted this review on google reviews 2 months ago where some affiliate with the company was so sorry to hear my experience and assured someone would re out to make things right. Theresa reason they have a 2.5/5 star status. we used them for over a year at about $57/mo and we had them some maybe 3 times to get rid of mice they wanted to upsell us traps. we were schedule for a full house inspection in Sept - took a half day off work and Mo one ever showed up. We have had Batzner for at least 6 years. We are located in the Milwaukee Metro area. They were always really great. We loved our service technician Eddie Martinez. He was amazing. Always called, communicated, spent whatever time was needed. Since Batzner has been purchased by a bigger company they have become company "no service". Today makes the 3rd appt. that we have had to call about and were "non-serviced". Before that we actually noticed that they hadn't been here for regular service in 18 months (our bad, buyer beware) . Service rep left much to be desired when we called to ask if our appt. would be honored-again...company zero service. Also, watch your credit card. Very sketchy charges. We have now been credited but no one at the company can ever give us an explanation for charges. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for this service. read more

I had an appointment scheduled from 8:00-9:30. The technician did not show up nor call. I called the company at 9:30 and the phone receptionist contacted him. He returned my call at 10:30, stating that he was "double booked" and just received notice of my appointment the same morning. If I could give a zero - I would. Batzner is no longer the Batzner it used to be - a local WI company. It is now owned by Rentokil - a major NON-LOCAL corporate behemoth - who cares nothing about the customer or service provided. I had the absolutely worst experience with the company in Dec 2024 when 3 service people came to my home without being scheduled and while neither my husband nor I were home (unknowing housekeeper let them in) on a date that was NOT mutually agreed upon and performed a $2000 service. The company has admitted that they have no record of any agreed to date for the service, but stands on the basis of having a signed service contract - which states specifically that "work will be completed upon a mutually agreed upon date by customer and company." They are in clear breach of contract. Now, I've called countless times to discuss the matter and no one will return my calls and if I do speak to a representative - they give me the complete runaround and they no longer actually have offices in Wisconsin. This has been ongoing for 8 weeks. Do not work with this company. UPDATE: 3.5.25 The response to this review from the company recommends reaching out through their website - the web address in their response does not exist. Not surprising. Meanwhile I've still not received a call back. UPDATE: 5.18.25. After getting in touch with the Branch Manager for New Berlin who was very helpful, he put me in contact with the District Manager. In our conversation he was hostile, accused me of lying, threatening, and extremely condescending - all of which served only to add to my already awful experience. We have used Batzner for years and were always very happy with them. Ever since the company was bought by another company we have had problems. The call center is several states away from us. There is no one to call and actually schedule a service. We recently had an ant problem. We were told they would call back within 3-24 business hours and we told them afternoons were better. When they called back we were unable to take the call so they left a message that they'd come between 9-1. Since we were unable to accommodate that time slot we called back and they canceled it, but they were unable to schedule it and no one has gotten back to us (now 24 hours later). I have a rental property in Brookfield Wisconsin. I contracted Batzner to come out and get rid of hornets around the property. I am severely allergic and so is one of the neighbor's children. The first tech missed a large football sized hornet nest in a tree that is the source of the problem. I contacted them again to explain the nest and I had to wait 6 days for someone to return just to have the tenant report: "They came out, but they said it was an aggressive hornet and that they weren't going to be able to remove it." He offered no other solutions. I'm left thinking "This can't be the company's first time dealing with this." When I called back again to get someone to come out, at the end of the conversation I asked what was the warranty on the work. I couldn't find it on their website. I asked the scheduling person, and they couldn't tell me what it was or where I could find it. I was transferred to "sales" and that person got all off track about the warranty question where I had to pose a hypothetical situation TWICE to get an "I don't know" about the warranty and what it was or where I could find it. I was sent to a third person whom I could barely understand and had to ask him to repeat himself several times. I understood he was going to be sending me a hard copy of the warranty for my reference. We are approaching 3 weeks out and I'm still waiting on that. My experience with communication within the company seemed so ridiculously disjointed because every time I contacted them, or they contacted me it was as if they were getting the information for the first time and this was some "new" problem. I contacted them 2 weeks ago in the midafternoon, and they told me they were dispatching someone and I had technicians calling me after 9:00 at night saying they just got the notice they were supposed to come out and treat/remove this nest. I had some technicians telling me in detail how they would treat the nest because they couldn't get it down. I had one tech call me in the morning and said he just received notice he was supposed to come out and treat/remove the nest. He asked, "should I come out?" I explained I needed to give 24 hour notice so today was not going to work. I asked, "What if I said yes, please come out and treat this?" He told me he couldn't come out. After each visit to the property, I may or may not have received a phone call explaining where we were at. Someone from the company evaluated the problem 5 times and the nest is still in the tree. Management level people came out and in the discussion that followed they approached it as if they were doing ME the favor of sending out someone or coming out themselves to evaluate the situation (which I was told had to happen in the end anyway). Their solution was I pay $1000 rental fee for some kind of lift and they would do the labor at no cost. My response was "Absolutely not" which also meant I would absolutely not use them again. My distain would not nearly be as high if there was some sort of cohesiveness to the information I was getting, or they called me after each visit to explain where we were at with the problem, or they would have sent people when they said they had "dispatched" someone, or their techs would have had the training and experience to identify the situation as something that needed to be referred up to management on at least the second visit, not the 5th , or they would have been up front with whether or not this was part of the service I contracted, or realized they have fumbled this from the beginning on so many levels and covered the costs and removed the nest. read more

They called at 12:50 saying the tech was likely not going to be there until after 2. I told them I wanted a nominal credit for the missed appointment and they said they would have to get approval. I just canceled the appointment. As it turns out the service scheduled the appointment but did not convey the appointment to the technician. We've had Batzner for 2 years and have been satisfied with their work, but today we had a new service provider named Chris Cox, and he was exceptional. He took extra time helping us to reinstall ceiling tiles that the insulation contractors took down. We couldn't have done it by ourselves (70+ with limited mobility). We had an appt. set for April 1st and about an hour before the appt, we received a call asking what service he needed to provide (1st issue, didn't even know what he was supposed to do). When we told him, he said he didn't have the proper equipment on his truck so he'd have to reschedule (2nd issue). We rescheduled for 10am on April 4th and at 11:10am he still had not shown up (3rd issue). I called to find out what was happening and was put on hold so they could contact the technician to get updates.... they said they were not able to reach him (4th issue). I requested we reschedule and the response was that the earliest availability was May (5th issue). Pick any of the above reasons for why we're not pleased... Now add another pest issue to mix which I called on today, they set up the wrong appt., it was set for a week out and unfortunately with small kids and pets running around, Batzner has shown they're not interested in providing services for their customers so we canceled our reoccurring service. read more

They failed to tell us they were booked until then. i understand the law but my client wanted them to come out and tell her where they are coming in. They told her to open the windows when she sees the bat and let them out. I am charged monthly, but they did no winter service whatsoever and have not done a spring service either. Seems like fraud to me that they take the money but do not service. Batzner sent an inspector to asses our pest problem. I called customer service several times to get an appointment for service. I spoke to several customer service people but couldn't get an appointment or follow up phone calls. The inspection fee was to be credited to the service fee. Then they schedule you for an appointment according to what is convenient for them, not what is convenient for you. This is no longer a family business. It was sold long ago and is NOT located in New Berlin. The only thing there are some trucks and one girl. I had gone there to discuss some issues. Nobody was there. Pounded on the door and a girl came out and said the company is no longer at that location. They bought the business and the name only. I was told they are located in Ohio. Two times I got an email receipt stating they could not find anybody home so they did only the exterior, at a time when we were at home. Then, yesterday, I scheduled a service for aunts in the kitchen and I was given 12-5 pm window. I was at the house at 12 pm, did not see any car parked all afternoon, nor anybody around the house, I waited and waited, at 4 pm I called and they confirmed someone will still schedule to come by 5 pm. At 4:30 pm my husband came home stating he got an email receipt at 3:07 stating : spoke with Laura (me), she was not at home, she asked that I would do the exterior only and reschedule the interior, which I did, which is A LIE!!! he could not call ME as the only phone number he had was my husband cell phone! I had the service and loved it desided to start back up with them. took 2 months to get someone to come out to do the initial check. I had to keep calling. Paid the fee. They came back in Nov said it did not go through. fine I asked to talk to a manager because I paid it and I had to do all the work to even get the apt they said they would have one reach out to me. That was Nov just got another call said again it was paid what you did with the money I have no idea. So they say I will actually get a call from the local manager this time. We will see. I used this service for 10 years. I gave them a break as we all went thru 2020, but almost 2 years later they continue to underperform and overcharge. After 2020, they went from 4 services per year to 3 services per year. The cost goes up every year and the service continues to go down. Every tech that "finds" something never actually finds where the issue is. Time to seek out other companies. Customers service has also suffered. read more

I wondered why I didn't get notified of my October outside service yet. I called Batzner and was told I have an appt Oct 10. I did not make that appt. and I know nothing about this appt., and I will not be home that day. When I asked the operator why I was not notified, she told me they would have notified me on October 9th. What! They make the appt to their liking, they don't tell me about it, but they will call me the day before to tell me I have an appt. I don't think so. I MAKE MY APPOINTMENTS ON DAYS AND TIMES CONVENIENT TO ME. I told the phone operator that if this happens again, I am dropping this service. I also requested a call back. They still have not gotten it together since this company was sold..how many times? The phone operators know about as much as I do about Batzner...which is not much. If I could rate this **zero** stars, I would...I've gotten the absolute runaround!! Initially they stated in setting up an appointment over the phone (and matched in my confirmation email) that the service appointment would be for the time frame of 8:00-8:30 this past Saturday. No one showed. I called customer service at 9:20 and they were looking into it and were **supposed** to call me....... NO CALL BACK! Still no tech arrival either!! I called again and sat on hold at 10:20, so then I decided to try online chat and was THEN told the time frame is actually 8-12 noon for the appointment, not 8-8:30, and that they "don't do time frames like that"--even though they *said* it, *emailed* it, and *all* past appointments were scheduled that way, with someone showing on time each time! I continued to wait patiently, as noon rolled around, closing that newly stated time window. No tech. No call. ONLY EMPTY PROMISES. At 12:30 PM I reached out AGAIN and then they asked me to reschedule, calling it a "missed appt by the tech" without ANY explanation of what happened and no looking into it or trying to contact them. AND on top of it all there aren't further Saturdays available until (**maybe**) July. THEN a manager was to call me to set something up, as nothing was available and it is my only day off. Did anyone call?!?! OF COURSE NOT. Today I contacted them to cancel my service (I AM PAYING MONTHLY FOR NOTHING) and they said it will be canceled. They asked if I needed anything else and I said that as long as it is canceled, that I am all set. Apparently that was good enough for them, as they closed the chat window and did nothing further to try to rectify this mess that they created. If time and money are of any value to you, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for "service". read more

Used Batzner for mice in the home. The guy came out, set two or three poison boxes out and went outside to fill holes with steel wool and then left. After I went outside to check I noticed that there were plenty of holes that he didn't fill. Called back and it took two weeks for him to come back. Mice were seemingly gone for a few weeks and now they're back and of course the warranty has already expired. read more

we contracted with Batzner in July to get rid of rodents getting into our basement. The initial inspector that came into our home used fear tactics. By the time he left, I wanted to level our home. He told me that our insulation needed to be removed, the area needed to be sanitized, and new insulation needed to be added after the clean up. I asked for a quote, and just got it last week (2 months later) after asking them for the quote at least 4 times. They added bait stations on top of foundation blocks in basement and they kept being knocked down by chipmunks coming into the basement from outside. I called and someone came out to rebait the box, but a day later, the box would be knocked down again. I called again, they came back out, but never closed up the huge holes they were coming in through (these holes were very visible with a mirror looking under the siding, but Batzner did not see them). After calling and calling and calling, they stopped returning my calls. I paid an initial fee for this service and a monthly fee for them to get rid of the rodents. They were taking my money, but not solving my problem. I found a local company to help me and they found the huge holes that Batzner missed. I called Batzner to cancel, and the woman said to me "you already paid all this money, and we guarantee our service"...Not if you don't return my calls and send someone out to help me! shame on me for not looking at the negative reviews before signing up and paying for their "service". read more
