The Orlando Auto Museum is a classic car museum that opened at Dezerland Park in Orlando, Florida in December 2020. It was founded by Israeli-American real estate developer and long-time car collector Michael Dezer. Growing up in Tel Aviv, Israel, Dezer was very interested in motor vehicles. As a teenager, he purchased a Vespa followed by a Harley Davidson motorcycle. This would spark a lifelong obsession to collect more motor vehicles. The first car Dezer purchased was a 1949 Plymouth. After relocating to the United States in 1962, he continued to purchase more and more cars. By 2012, Dezer had opened the Miami Auto Museum which featured more than 1,000 cars that he collected. To add to his growing collection, he purchased the collection from the Cars of the Stars Motor Museum in England, its sister site The Bond Museum, and other various movie cars. In 2020, Dezer moved his entire collection to his newly built Dezerland Park Orlando. The current museum spans over 250,000-square-feet and features over 2,000 motor vehicles that are valued at $200 million across more than 20 themed rooms. My family and I recently visited the Orlando Auto Museum while we were on an East Coast Road Trip. We've visited a few different automobile and motor vehicle museums over the years, but this was overwhelming to say the least. We have never seen so many cars and vehicles located under one roof. Cars and vehicles were grouped into various rooms themed by country of origin (Israel, Italy, Germany, U.K.), type (Art Deco, Chryslers, Hot Rods, Military), and screen-used movie cars ("Hollywood Cars of the Stars"). There were even rooms devoted exclusively to Batman and James Bond vehicles. The collections of motorcycles, Vespas, scooters and bicycles were equally impressive. I spotted four of my five all-time favorite movie cars: the Ghostbusters' Ecto-1, the Back to the Future DeLorean, the 1989 Batmobile, and James Bond's Aston Martin DB5. The only exception was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We ended up spending nearly 5 hours at the museum. This is probably the best auto museum I have ever attended. I actually thought this was only a car museum but it ended up being a lot more. Each and every vehicle you could imagine. Very large museum. Expect to be there about 60-90 minutes. Depending on how long you observe each car. If you like antique vehicles you will love this place. I love that they have the foot steps telling you which direction to go to next. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes because you definitely will be getting those steps in. I enjoyed every moment. This is so far the best auto museum I have visited. Many classic vehicles from different countries and eras. Also novelty concept cars and cars from movies & TV. I was pleasantly surprised seeing some of the vehicles which I haven't seen elsewhere. The museum has rooms where a particular country, era, or theme are featured. I like this curation & arrangement. Pay attention to the details near the vehicles. Some of them have a humorous touch. It is a big museum located in the middle of the Dezerland Park entertainment complex. Some of its vehicles can be seen outside the museum area. Sorta of teasers. Ticket prices are reasonable for the value of the exhibits. (Recommend getting the tickets online to save some money.) You will need to sign a waiver but don't worry. The waiver is mainly for other activities at Dezerland Park. Allow at least an hour at a minimum. It's easy to spend of couple of hours if you really get into the exhibits. read more

Whether or not you are a car guy or gal you will likely enjoy this large transportation museum. The vehicles are loosely organized around themes such as countries, car styles, and novelty vehicles. The word has a staggeringly large number of vehicles, this museum tends to be more representative than exhaustive in its collection. In the area devoted to English vehicles, there was quite a variety of Rovers, Rolls-Royce's, Bentley's, Minis, Triumphs, and others. However, I could find not a single Jaguar, which is one of the most storied of English car brands. Give yourself at least a couple of hours to go through the collection. At that you'll have to move pretty quickly. Also, wear comfortable shoes for the concrete floor. read more

Completely blown away by the 2,000+ vehicles in this collection worth approximately $200 million. It took me and a friend just over 7 hours to see them all. There are over 20 rooms and most of them are themed. The James Bond stuff is located at the back of the bar/restaurant and supposedly the world's largest collection of James Bond vehicles with something from 24 of the 25 movies. The only one missing is the most recent "No Time To Die" and I'm sure they're working on it. The TV and movie vehicles are worth the price of admission. Many have placards detailing info about them. If you pay extra for the VIP you get to have pictures taken of you inside some of these. We did general admission mainly because of timing of the VIP tours that occur approximately four times a day. Many of the cars can be seen for free by just walking around the exterior of the exhibits. But you get so much more by paying roughly $19 (Groupon August 2025). They put a wristband on you and away you go self guided with a paper map. The map is a bit confusing at times, but the three associates behind the main desk were helpful and one walked us to the section where we took a wrong turn. A lot of the vehicles are not fully restored, but this gives the place character and shows how much it takes to get them to the high end level. Many of the TV/movie vehicles were damaged during filming, so this is cool to see. Bullets in sheet metal, scratches from Batman sliding over the Batmobile to quickly enter, damaged bumpers from crashes during racing, get-aways, chases and jump scenes like in the Fast and Furious series. Huge variety, not just cars. Tanks, military Jeeps, motorcycles, scooters, motorized bicycles, on and on. The world's longest vehicle is here. The limo is not practical or pretty but a site to see with room for 75 passengers. President vehicles, Royalty vehicles, famous people vehicles, mannequins dressed as famous people decorating vehicles. There are multiple Scooby Doo Mystery Machines here! It goes on and on. Lots of car makers I've never even heard of until visiting here. Even an entire wing of vehicles from the Flintsones movie, which is hidden in the mall so don't miss that either. The owner of the collection is Michael Dezer. Much of his art collection can also be found on the walls, even some of it from famous artists you'll recognize. Lots of posters and advertising of vehicles adorn the walls. Super interesting and nicely organized. Only recommendations are many placards are placed too far away from the ropes to see. The map is somewhat confusing. Some rooms have "footprints" on which way to walk, but then they disappear. Other rooms have no footprints at all and you get lost. Pretty sure we didn't see all the vehicles because of this. Don't be in a hurry or you'll miss good stuff. Wish there was more "Dezerland" merch in the huge gift shop. I was hoping for a coffee table book detailing the collection I'd just experienced. The few t-shirts they have are boring. And no Dezerland hats!?!?! They need to expand this big opportunity for free advertising! This exhibit is truly amazing. The most cars I've ever seen in one building. There are so many of them that the owner has about 50 outside, including Mater, the tow truck from the Cars movie franchise. Capone's Dinner & Show is being relocated to this old mall. Cannot wait for that to reopen after a long time "moving" from Kissimmee. The other activity found in this entertainment complex that is super intriguing is the electric go-kart track that is the longest and fastest in Florida. Karts can reach around 40mph, although limited with all the turns. You are flying. There are several restaurants and bars inside the mall that houses the auto museum. Bass Pro is also fun to visit next door. read more

Summary: Good selection of cars but poor presentation. The first issue we had with the museum is that it was difficult to tell where the entrance was in the midst of the busy Dezerland Park building. Confusingly, a lot of cars are spread around the building outside the actual museum. Many of the cars presented are heavily modified; some of these are from movies and TV shows, and others are, well, just ridiculous. These won't be of interest to serious auto buffs but others may find them entertaining. The best part of the museum involves antique American autos and cars from several other countries. Unfortunately, the presentation of these leaves much to be desired. Some are stuck way back behind the ropes where you can't see them well. Most cars are not properly identified, except by small stickers on the windshields, and most of the stickers are written in ink that's faded to the point of illegibility. Some cars don't even have the stickers. A few stickers have incorrect info (such as "AMC Metro" for "Metropolitan"). Sometimes cars are just in the wrong place -- i.e., American cars in the "Israel" section, or a German car in the "France" section. There's also a replica (badly dented) of a rare Tucker car, implicitly being passed off as the real thing; whether there are other cases like this, I'm not sure. The most potentially fascinating, but ultimately frustrating, part is the Microcars room. Some of the museum's most rare and obscure cars are here. But there are two levels of "shelves" along the walls where many microcars are placed as if to emphasize their smallness. The cars above floor level can't be seen well, and in most cases there's no way for a visitor to tell what they are. These cars, especially, should be easily seen, with signs giving the make, year, country of origin and other relevant info. Overall, the place feels less like a museum than like a storage facility that's not well organized and is running out of room. There's a general sense that the people running the place don't really care that much about the cars. As a result, the often poor presentation is potentially a major letdown for visiting auto enthusiasts. read more

(Free Parking & Located inside Dezerland Indoor Theme Park) I spent a day at The Auto Museum in Orlando which holds one of the largest car collections in the world. There are over 2,000 vehicles valued at $200 million! Before you can enter The Auto Museum, you go through Dezerland's entrance. Dezerland is an indoor theme park with go-karts, movies, axe-throwing, mini-golf, bowling, & of course The Auto Museum. Of all the cars, my favorite was seeing the real Batmobile used in the film. I saw authentic military vehicles, James Bond film cars, and more! There were cars from Russia, the 30s & 40s, and other films like Ghostbusters and the famous Delorean from Back-to-the-Future. This is an excellent detour from your typical Disney trip or outdoor theme parks. It makes a great indoor date or family activity. If you're a car-lover or enjoy museums, I would stop by here on your next Orlando trip. :) read more

Awesome! Lots of cars and motorcycles to see. I read somewhere this place has the largest collection in the US and I can believe it. They have cars that were used in movies / TV shows, cars from various countries, and unique custom made cars. It's worth the visit if you're in the area. There's a dedicated motorcycle section but motorcycles are also scattered around in other places in the museum. The entrance fee also allows access to the James Bond Museum which has even more cars as well as an airplane. (They give a discount to ex-military to BTW.) read more

A very cool museum that car lovers shouldn't miss I thought the Orlando Auto Museum inside Dezerland was incredible and definitely worth spending a few hours exploring. A friend told me about it, and I was blown away by how big and detailed it is. It's easy to get to, with plenty of parking right outside. The museum itself is massive and includes over 2,000 vehicles. What really stood out to me were the themed areas--you can walk through rooms filled with classic American cars, European models, motorcycles, military vehicles, and even rare micro-cars. There are also movie and TV cars like the Batmobiles, James Bond's Aston Martins, and even Ghostbusters' Ecto-1. One of the biggest surprises was seeing the world's longest limousine--100 feet long! The layout is well organized, and each area has signs and background information that make it fun to learn while you look. It's also air-conditioned and not too crowded, which made the visit relaxing. Whether you're a car enthusiast or just curious, the Auto Museum is definitely worth checking out. Admission is separate from the rest of Dezerland, but it's reasonably priced for the size and scope of the collection. I'd gladly recommend it to families, collectors, or anyone who loves cars and history. read more

There was no AC running properly so the tour was hot. It wasn't worth the price, you could just as easily walk around on your own to see the cars Sitting in them was alright, but myself & the group didn't like how hot it was inside the building. Surprisingly, besides Mr Dezers obvious ties to he-who-must-not-be-named, this was a pretty good museum. And it's actually that, a museum. The collection is overwhelming, but the detail and time put into this catalog of cars is insane. I thought we would spend less than half an hour here, but we spent nearly two hours and probably didn't see everything. There were cars from every action movie ever, most being the original used, and sometimes there were copies of the original! The areas were split up by time period, nationalities, and type of vehicle. I truly enjoyed the vehicles from the 60s and all of the Italian and British vehicles featured. You really have to generally ignore the first set of vehicles, cause they are outrageous and comical, and can deter you from wanting to venture further. But once you get past it, you won't regret it. I may visit his other locations in Florida, but as a budding car enthusiast, this was pretty legit. read more

First of all, it is OPEN. The posting saying it's closed is incorrect. I visited today, and it was fully clear that it's open to the public. But having said that, I really don't recommend going there. Like much--though not all--of Orlando, it is a low-class place. It appeals more to people interested in geegaws or trivia, than in automotive history. Point in fact: They have not one, but a roomful of Batmobiles. Well if you're a fan of that kind of stuff, then you should go. As a museum, it is horrible. Very little signage, cars are crammed in a couple of inches from the next one, and you can generally see the car from a single direction. For more than 50% of the cars, you cannot even tell what year the car is from. There is no sign. Equally a problem is that some of the cars have significant body damage, and this is not repaired. If you're expecting some classy place like the Petersen Automotive Museum or the Nethercutt Collection, you'll be very disappointed. And it's not cheap. $32 plus tax. See my picture of a Citroen DS21; its rear door has a big bash in it. If you're still not convinced that this is a sleazy place. Let me tell you what you see right as you enter. A life-size, naked half-torso of Marilyn Monroe screwed onto the hood of a muscle car. Now do you see what I mean? The best that I can say is that someone needs to cater to the lowest common denominator, and Orlando seems to excel at this. But if you're like me and prefer uplifting, positive experiences, then I can suggest at least one attraction in the Orlando area to you: The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art. This museum is in Winter Park and it's America's best collection of art by Louis Comfort Tiffany. The admission is $6. Enjoy! read more

Had so much fun touring the cars today and got an amazing guided tour by Paul. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all of the Hollywood Stars cars and let us sit in a couple of them!! We started our tour with Paul and we were highly impressed with how knowledgeable he was on the cars displayed there and was ready to answer any questions we had. He was very patient with our party, since we had three kids with us during the tour, and he went above and beyond to make it a fun experience for all the adults and kids alike. Our second half of the tour was with Javier and he was very kind and made sure he provided answers to any of our questions, as well. Overall, we had a great experience during our visit. Difficult to believe I'm the first to Yelp Out about this huge new complex devoted to the display of cars from all over the world as well as those of Hollywood stars, television and movie fame. This car collection and museum is the undertaking of Michael Dezer who also has the famous Dezer Collection located on Dean Martin Drive in Las Vegas. This is a big, and I do mean big collection of not only cars but motorcycles, early outboard boat engines, motor scooters, military vehicles, bicycles, famous Hollywood cars such as the famous Bat Mobile, juke boxes and all sorts of things, even a laundry mangle (why that?) and other such odds and ends. The collection consists of two separate buildings with one housing classic vehicles from around the world, mostly from the early 30's up through the 80's and the other housing Hollywood cars dubbed the "Cars of the Stars." There is a separate charge of $25 to get into each building, so a complete tour is going to set you back a stiff $50 each which to me is pricey, very pricey. Being an automotive aficionado I'm glad that I saw it but at those prices I can't say that this is for everyone and one visit for me in my lifetime will be enough. The facility is impeccable, obviously no money spared and the vehicles are impeccably as well as thoughtfully displayed. The vehicles, however, are not exactly in pristine condition with nearly none of them having been restored. Some of them clearly showing body fillers, general decay and a few in a paint rather thoughtless paint over rust condition bring to mind the old adage about putting lipstick on a pig. For most of items displayed there is an explanation and a history so that you know what you are looking at as well as a value of the vehicle, which values generally appear to me to be rather highly inflated. The staffs, with the exception of the girls at the ticket counter who tend to be a bunch of totally inattentive as well as unhelpful clowns, are polite, friendly and helpful but, generally speaking, less than knowledgeable about the displays as they just work there; or so they say. We have few car collection museums in our area, but if you want to see more historic cars better presented and in a far more pristine condition, my suggestion would be to go to the Antique Car Museum in Fort Lauderdale. read more

I forget how I accidentally stumbled upon this place online. I just remember being shocked that a place like this existed practically in my back yard (well technically front yard, I wouldn't venture too far in my back yard at the moment) As soon as I found out I immediately told my friend Robert C that we must go! So go we did, and yes, it really exists and it is pretty amazing. This is a place for the die hard car lover. There's a little bit of everything, even a huge collection of early motorized bicycles and scooters. There's also military vehicles and model airplanes hanging from every part of the ceiling. What's more amazing is that nobody seems to know about it. Maybe that's intentional. Too many people visiting means bad things start to happen, and there is not much in the way to keep people from touching the cars besides a few signs that I'm sure nobody reads. The museum is broken up between 2 buildings, each with their own entry price. If you love cars then I suggest doing both buildings. If you're more of a TV and movie fan then you have the option of just seeing the one building with all of that stuff. Orlando Auto Museum - Favorite kind of car - Museums Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I came here because there was a Groupon deal I saw for it. Usually, I am pretty weary of things on Groupon but decided to take the chance and see if this place was cool so I bought 2 tickets for my boyfriend and I to go to both buildings of the museum! We started on the Hollywood building, in the super car section which was basically all super nice, clean, fast cars from all time periods. Very cool. The rest of the Hollywood building turned out to be an entire movie car museum that the owner purchased from England (including the Bond collection). Super neat to see some of these vehicles. Especially the Batmobiles, the Mystery Machine, and the Inspector Gadget mobile! The entire place was pretty cool. We spent around 3.5 hours taking our time through everything! My boyfriend is a huge car guy so he was really into it and always had extra things to explain to me. I almost wish there were more signs and descriptions. In the other building, there are the classics--both American and European. There's also a massive bicycle/scooter/motorcycle collection and a military classics collections (which was my total fave!). THERE ARE SO MANY CARS. There's no words to describe the vastness of this Michael Dezer guy's car collection. Apparently, he has the largest collection of Vespas in the world. The military classics section was awesome because I personally love Jeeps and Land Rovers and they do a pretty good job at the descriptions and signage here. The whole museum is decorated so nice and gives you a great feel, especially through the American classics. There is a convenient diner in the Hollywood building in case you get hungry. There is good parking and it is easy to find. Wear comfy shoes because the museum is big! And this is also a great place to bring the fam!!! read more

This place is a car lover's dream! It is not a place a lot of people in Miami know about so it is a great way to spend a Sunday away from the crowds. It is one of the largest privately owned car collection there is. Over 1,000 cars to browse, all within your reach! From an amazing James Bond collection with originals ranging from Aston Martin's to full size jets! I also loved browsing the Hollywood collection which housed a plethora of cars from movies through the years: Back to the Future's Delorean, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's car, Herbie the Lovebug, and a few of the wheels used in the Batman series! When you finish walking through one collection, you cross the street to the Classics Museum and there you have so many cars, it may make you crazy. From classic corvettes, to every sort of bicycle and scooter you can imagine, it is here. Overall it's a great way to spend a Sunday, and if you're significant other loves cars- mine certainly does- it makes for a great gift idea as well. It saddens me to have to write the following negative review about the Miami Auto Museum but it's my duty as a resident of S.Florida to advise my fellow Miami'ans that this place just isn't cutting the MUSTARD! Visited here on Father's Day 2016 with my wife, kids and best friend who's also a classic car aficionado and may I say that even my 7 month old son was disappointed with the place. The cars, the buildings/facility and the overall motif are in such mediocre shape that it truly warrants padlocking the property and shipping it over to Area 51 for the aliens to study. The musty smell in the two buildings was reminiscent of an abandoned house that had been boarded up for a half century. The mannequins scattered throughout the exhibits and sitting in some vehicles was as random as Ross Perot running for president and as creepy as hairless dogs and cats. Conclusion.... don't waste your valuable time and money to visit this relic of the past. read more

As a native Floridian, I had no idea about this museum. The Festival of Chocolate was held here and I'm glad it was! It broke up the monotony of over indulging in sweets. Classic cars, cars used in films, and memorabilia EVERYWHERE! Room upon room filled with memories. The Dolorean from Back to the Future and the Batman room were my favorites but I was creeped out by some of the mannequins throughout. Definitely bring a car lover here!
