Such a sweet place with adorable kittens. I spent some time in the kitten tent and felt completely healed of any life stress. I really feel that anyone can be cured of unhappiness from sitting in a kitten tent! I grabbed a cup of java and hung out with the kitties. My only complaint is ten minutes simply isn't long enough in the kitty tent. Forever sounds more reasonable. I would definitely go again to cuddle with cute kitties and leave without having to clean kitty litter. Score! A big bummer is you can't pick up kitties to cuddle. I'm assuming it's because people could potentially hurt the animals, but still. It's hard not to pick them up! read more

We love going here. The coffees great and the snacks are yummy and the coffee shop portion is nice, but the cat portion really makes it. What a great concept and a great execution of it too! Small. Expensive for what it is. Not enough cats for the number of people there. Crowded. "Volunteers" breathing down your neck and snapping at kids. Cats appear irritated by number of people in the small space. We left after 10 minutes due to the uncomfortable atmosphere. Our comparison is the cat café in Greenville South Carolina which is relaxed, friendly, with lots of cats and lots of space and you can hang out as long as you want. read more

What a great place to spend time with cats! Definitely make a reservation as the place was pretty full when we arrived. All the cats are adoptable and the food is pretty good. Had the caprese panini and an iced chai, which were kind of expensive. I would recommend them both though. Good vegetarian options, but no vegan options (maybe the bagels). Cats took a while to warm up, but got used to the humans around them after a few minutes. You get a full hour to play. There was an error with our 10am reservation. We went in 30 minutes late without a refund, but we were allowed our full hour even though our reservation was only until 11. read more

Showed up a little past 9 a.m. I had the bacon quiche & toffee coffee (forgot the name) kiddo the Cookie Monster hot chocolate & chocolate muffin. Axum was open so we enjoyed the meal & peeked at the cats through the window while we waited for them to open. The cats are next door & it is connected by dual doors that help keep them from escaping. One door opens, you are in a small hall, there you can donate or buy things. You close the door behind you & are greeted by an employee that lets you in the second door. We made online reservations & we were THE ONLY visitors for a good hour. Such bliss for kiddo. You can go in with food & drink or eat at the cafe first, then enter. We ate then entered to squeeze every minute of fun in. We then paid to extend another hour- so worth it! Afterward, we took a box of macarons since we could not adopt any cats. They were all available, but we were just there to play. Hubbs is allergic, so we could not take them home- so hard not to take one with us, sigh. This will be a monthly mom & kiddo thing. I must add, I am a dog lover. But these were such sweet & loving kittens. read more

I visited for the first time due to recommendations from friends but I was disappointed to find that most of the cats at the cat cafe that I interacted with were DECLAWED. I don't know if this is "cat cafe policy" for the safety of visitors but I'm not a fan of the procedure. Im surprised that these cats are eligible for adoption, cause adoption agencies that I know don't allow for declawing cats. Just trim their nails. read more

Delicious coffee and the cats were so chill and sweet. Amazing idea for the cats because the place is so well thought out and designed for them, and they are just in their element while receiving maximum exposure and socialization (though all of them are had very adoptable personalities) and perfect place to come and relax for a bit by increasing endorphins and decreasing cortisol. This is the best place I've ever been to. Whoever thought of this is a genius! The people and cats are very friendly. They have a good selection of coffee and premade food to eat while visiting the cats. They charge to go inside to play but there is a place to sit and view the room without paying. Be careful if you have cups of water because the cats will drink it! The place is very clean and the cats seem happy. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the Orlando area. read more

Wonderful place that I highly recommend to any locals or tourists in the Orlando area. The cafe itself has a very cute and nice atmosphere and the food and drink products are very good, and the cat meeting experience is fantastic as well. The area that the cats are in has many toys, perches, beds, and other things that make the cats happy and comfortable. Best of all, the cats can be adopted and their efforts have been very successful - over 150 cats have been adopted to loving homes in less than a year and a half since the cafe opened. oh. my. god. I almost died of happiness when I saw the cats (they're all my new bffs btw). The decor is extremely adorable. I was ecstatic when I FINALLY convinced my family members to come with me there. Those cats are SO cute and I will fight anyone who doesn't adopt them because they rightfully deserve a loving home. They're good boys n girls and I REALLY wanted to bring them back to Pennsylvania with me :( I love cats so much and this little experience made me excited to become the neighbor cat lady twenty yrs down the road. 100% recommended to every cat lover. read more

I have been looking forward to, and planning a trip to Orlando Cat Cafe for some time. I had done my research on how much it cost and rules for my kids (age 5 and 6). When we arrived in the cafe section we were politely treated, and explained how it all worked, given a choice of time slots and got our coffee and hot chocolates. Everyone there were "cat people" so happy to chat and wait for the top of the hour to go in. I was concerned the cats would be stand offish, or too tired, simple not interested. Boy was I wrong!The cats were not overly out going, but had an air of calm playfulness. Just what we were looking for. They were affectionate and sweet, entering them selves to my kids and to me! We are not currently in the market for a kitten, but will defiantly return when the time is right. All the cats were beautifully socialized and wonderfully interactive. The facility was perfectly decorated and incredibly comfortable for the cats. Wall climbing installations and comfy beds with tones of toys for them. What a lovely day! read more

Great cafe. Very clean and sanitary. The highlight is the kitty tent. Only a couple people are allowed in at a time, and the volunteer makes sure you can sign up to get a turn. Very professionally run cafe with frisky, playful cats. Ample room for everyone there to play, and I would highly recommend a visit, since not many cat cafes has kittens you can play with too. read more

Visited December 17, 2016. Very reasonable admission considering it supports the cats (who are all able for adoption). I'm not looking at my receipt as I type, but it was about 8 dollars each. The cafe is staffed with shelter staff and they are very knowledgeable and friendly! The cafe is very clean. All the cats have been vetted and are healthy! You sanitize your hands before you in, and when you leave. Some cats were sleeing, some playing, all beautiful. We'll be going back again and again. Just a lovely place to visit and maybe adopt a forever companion! read more

We thought it would be a cool experience, and people there seemed to be enjoying themselves. But please, when a potential clcustomer takes the time to call and inquire about admission prices, MENTION that you take reservations and currently are expeiencing a busy hour. Minutes after I called we walked in with three kids who were excited to hang with the cats, only to be told they were booked for this hour, and it was unusually busy. So Aubrey or Autumn (I believe was her name) gave me their card and said all the info is there on the websites. We'd have to wait over 45 minutes. Disappointed kids. And sorry, but we won't be back. I felt like I did my due diligence to find out what the procedures were before we arrived with our kids; to avoid disappointment. Please be more thorough over the phone when a potential customer calls. read more

Jan 2020 - I 'm a fan for the good work they do for the kitties. Otherwise...I was so excited to go here. My elderly mom and my 2-year old granddaughter wanted a little lunch so we choose this place. It was ...different. You buy your food at the Axum cafe next door and pay an entrance fee. The food selection is very limited ( but it was good) and a little pricey. Entrance fee is $8 a person. Less for kids. Was not prepared for this but ok it was for the kitties.You take your food over and get some instructions in the vestibule before entering. There are a few tables to sit at and the kitties are here and there. Some asleep, other not. They have some very interesting sleep areas for the cats. Everyone (cat wise) seemed to be happy. ONE lady volunteer was very kind. The 2-year old has cats at home so is very used to them. She played "cat fish" with the cat toy mostly. We were enjoying ourselves until a younger volunteer came in and started to lecture me how the 2-year old MUST stay with me at all times. "She can not be with the cats by herself".(I was 4 feet away) " We really only like kids older than 7 (or was it 9) to be with the cats." (I saw no sign like that and you took my money just fine). Ok then. We're gone. I was very upset by the unfriendly person. I told the 2-year old's mother about the incident and she said they go there all the time and have never been told this. Moral of story. Go. Enjoy the kitties. Be prepared to drop some cash to support them. And unless you are ready to sit on your kids leave them home for your comfort and to avoid unfriendly person there. Sorry Cat Cafe but one bad apple really ruins the barrel. read more

I went in on 9/30 with my three year old daughter. I had to ask if they would allow her to come in and play with the cats. The lady said yes as long as she's quiet and doesn't stomp around. My daughter wasn't loud she didn't stomp she walked to play with the cats. The two ladies that were monitoring the cat room were rude. They shook their heads when I daughter went to follow a cat she wanted to play with. They weren't welcoming at all. We don't have any pets, I wanted to see how she would do with cats but it was very hard attempting to watch her and watching the ladies judge us. I will not be coming back to the coffee place or the cat cafe. It's very sad my daughter was so excited about playing with the cats. And instead we left 26 minutes into the hour we paid for. The cat cafe is actually right beside Axum coffee which handles the cat cafe appointments etc. Walk-ins are welcome however there is a limited number of people allowed in the cat room so appointments are highly recommended. The cat room is cute, clean, and there are a few board games you can play. The time of day you go will depend on how active the cats are and the staff was very helpful & friendly. We did not have an appointment and we were able to join in the next visiting hour time. We had a short wait that we enjoyed with a cup of coffee & tea from Axum before going to see the adorable kitties. Be sure to grab something from the cafe while loving on the kitties! read more
