I had one bad experience in the past but I honestly enjoy bringing my son here. We have been coming since he was about 5. He's 15 now. Dr. Javier and his staff is wonderful. He's super kid friendly. They have improved on their waiting times and I appreciate that. Dr. Javier is great. My son has been coming here for the past few years. But the scheduling and front office staff....It didn't use to be like this. My son had an appointment. His dental insurance changed. They called me an hour before the appointment. They couldn't get his insurance verified. They said it was an hour long wait to get ahold of customer service for delta dental. I called delta dental twice while they were on their 60 min wait. Both times I got ahold of a customer service rep. They told me that my son and I were both active and that the dental office had several ways to verify my insurance. The thing is that they wait an hour before the appointment to verify the insurance when they could've done it weeks ago to have time to call me and tell me the insurance wasn't going through and it could've been resolved way before the appointment. I had to take a half day off work. Now to reschedule again and take another day off work is a hassle. read more

My son's have been going to this practice since they had teeth. They are now 15 and 16 years-old. Dr. Chaudry was their original dentist until a few years ago when he sold the practice. My 15 year-old is autistic and has always had the kindness and patience from the dentists there. Well, enter Dr. Javier Girardot and all of that changes. They referred my son elsewhere because of his special needs. So folks, don't let their website fool you with their cute pictures and claim to service kiddos with special needs. This practice needs to remove that claim because it's a LIE! Only very special, patient and children-driven doctors should post a claim such as that. When you claim that you handle children with special needs, yet you don't have the skill set nor patience to do so, you are nothing but a deceitful and shameful individual. How dare you! read more

1. Dr. J has great skills. 2. Dr. J has been sabotaged by his management team (or he has been sabotaged by himself.) Staff don't even pretend to be caring. They don't know how to handle your dental insurance properly and correctly. Dr. J doesn't expect you to use your insurance because for him, insurance policies are so complicated and changing all the time that he simply prefer you to pay directly to him without using your insurance. I have no idea why this place has such low reviews. I loved it. From start to finish, everything was professional. The front desk staff was friendly and I did not have to wait long at all even though I arrived before my appointment time. My son was pretty nervous and afraid. Jacquelin was great at putting him at ease and showing him how all of the equipment worked. He ended up really enjoying it and feeling like a superhero. I can't thank her enough for her kindness and her patience. Finally, Dr. Girardot was fast, friendly and very professional. My daughter is 3 and had never been to a dentist and I found this practice online and thought we'd try it out. I love the environment of the office and how friendly the staff was. Kathy was our hygienist and she was amazing with my daughter. She worked quickly and explained everything to my daughter before she did it. The cleaning was fast and thorough. Dr. Chaundry was great with my daughter and even showed me her teeth and explained what was going on. They are wonderful with all the children. The staff is always courteous and we are seen in a timely manner. They are attentive to the children and make them feel welcome. The dentists are excellent in explaining care or need for care. What can I say? Look at the bad reviews. The Dr. is great, but that office management staff is inept and negligent. I don't like to provide negative reviews, unless all resources to resolve the problem have been exhausted but folks need to understand that doing your job poorly will negatively impact people's lives. I understand Dr. Girardot needs to able to focus on attending his patients, but he needs to be held accountable for his billing manager's gross negligence and complete lack of respect for people's financial well-being. I'll update with links to my BBB and if available, my DBPR complaint as well. We'll miss Dr Giradot, but he'll need to fix his staffing problems before we ever return. read more

Dr. Mubashir Chaudhry DDS was over an HOUR late for our appointment and we were the first appointment of the day on a school day! This alone had a crucial and very negative ripple affect. The staff was unaccommodating and unapologetic for the delay and significant inconvenience. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful of our time. The appointment itself took over a month to get so clearly they do not care about customer service as they are so busy. The appointment itself was a consultation which took 5 minutes. Ridiculous! I can not recommend this place at all and would be sure to allow for A LOT of extra time if you want to use them. read more

Where to begin? This office is the most inefficiently run dentist I have ever experienced. Our first appointment they lost the paperwork I filled out. The office staff barely greets you. Making appointments is not to the benefit of the child, school schedule etc. appointment times run past an hour for a cleaning. Why? Because the dentist can't seem to multitask. He is too busy socializing with the parents. Do you think he could exam the child at the same time instead of talking about the sports they're playing, the vacations they've taken? So much time wasted. Literally just sitting there doing nothing but talk. And he doesn't wash his hands between patients who are all in one room by the way. Very unsanitary. I watched dirty gloves touch the lights, keyboards, etc. No thank you. I won't be taking my child there anymore. read more

I cannot review the actual service here as I did not get a chance to. My daughter's first appointment (she's 1.5) was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. originally. A week before the appointment they called and moved it to 9 a.m. GREAT, I thought, even better. We got to the office 15 minutes before her time as I knew I would need to do paperwork. After the paperwork was done I was told they were running 15-20 minutes behind. That's fine, I understand (thinking to myself, how are they already behind?) But I waited. After 45 minutes beyond my child's scheduled time, my husband and I decided to leave. There was nothing in the waiting room to engage her if they were running behind. As we told the front desk we were leaving, one of the office staff said, "we can get you in now." Why didn't you get her in when it was my time? While another woman offered us a Panera gift card. Do they just have these handy as this is standard practice to run late? Didn't take the gift card and we won't be returning. read more

The office staff and dental hygienists are always friendly, helpful, and great with my daughter. I love Dr. Chaudhry and so does my daughter! He is friendly, patient, and honest. He takes his time to answer any of your questions and you don't feel rushed. This review is in regards to the front desk staff and directly at Michelle (health insurance coordinator). From the time that I came into contact with this dental office I have been treated unprofessionally by the front desk staff and by Michelle. Unfortunately, I am not able to go to another dental office due to my child's insurance or else I would have. My son suffered an injury to his front tooth from a fall and was seen on 5/9/2013 by this office. From the time that I provided my son's dental insurance card (MCNA Medicaid Dental) to the front desk clerk, I was treated as if I and my son were an annoyance. The only time that was not the case was when I actually met the dentist himself. He was very welcoming and did not talk to me as if me and my son were an annoyance. After the appointment I called my son's dental insurance to let them know how the front desk staff treated me and that I would like to take my son else where but it turned out that was the only dentist office that my son could go to. Well, when my son's insurance later followed up in providing paperwork to this office which was authorizing the work needed to be done, that paperwork was essentially ignored by Michelle. The way I know that it was ignored was due to the fact that I had contacted MCNA Dental several times to find out why my son still hadn't been scheduled to complete the needed dental work to fix his broken tooth and they indicated that they had approved everything and had sent the paperwork but that it was now up to the dental office to sign off on it and schedule him an appointment. I then called the dental office on 6/12/2013 several times after hearing this to which I only was able to reach their voice mail. I left a voice message that same day inquiring when will my son be scheduled to have the dental work done as he has been in pain for over a month now but that voice message was also ignored as no one ever returned my call. I then called again two days later and was finally able to speak directly to someone who then transferred me to Michelle. When I asked Michelle when will my son be able to be scheduled to have the dental work done she replied with a "matter of fact" tone of voice that she just discovered the authorization paperwork from my son's dental insurance but that now she needed a copy of my son's medical insurance card. I provided her the insurance information including the insurance card number over the phone as I could not send her a copy of it via fax at that very moment and asked her how soon will my son be able to be scheduled for the dental work and she basically stated (in a tone that was clearly an I don't care type of tone) that I needed to just keep calling back to see as she was going to get the ball rolling. At that point I knew I needed to find a way to file a complaint or else my son was going to be in pain possibly for another month. I immediately called my son's dental insurance and informed them that Michelle had just been sitting on the authorization paperwork and was now indicating she needed to wait for my son's health insurance to approve the medical part of the procedure to be done. MCNA Dental indicated they would file a complaint against this office and was going to send an email to Michelle's supervisor advising the importance of getting my son's tooth fixed as he has been in pain for over a month now. This is where things are at at this point... I pray that email will in fact help get my son scheduled asap. It's sad that just because my son has Medicaid for his dental and health insurance that his health care has been put on the back burner. The rudeness that I experienced because of having Medicaid for my son is something that I wouldn't even bother tolerating if in fact there was no delay in getting the medical attention my son needs but when I am being rudely treated AND my son's health care is being jeopardized I will not stand for that. Medicaid is the only help I receive from the government and it only covers my 4 year old son. I wish people would stop stereotyping others and be more Christ like. This world would be a much better place if people would just show more compassion and love! read more

The recommended treatment plan required my 6 year-old daughter to be seen by Dr. Javier F. Girardot over three visits. Nitrous oxide was part of the treatment plan at each visit to, as they put it, "take the edge off". After the first visit she slept for over an hour, which is very unusual for her. She has had similar procedures done in the past, with a different dentist, without the use of nitrous, and not had any problems at all. I suspected the nitrous had something to do with it, so at the second visit I asked the hygienist to use it only if it was absolutely necessary. Nitrous was used once again, and she ended up vomiting during the procedure and again, sleeping for over an hour afterward. Before attending her last visit, I called the office to request that a note be put in her chart stating that she was never to be given nitrous again. When we got to the office I asked the receptionist if the note was in her chart and she assured me it was. Before my daughter was taken back I notified the hygienist that she was not to be given nitrous. Halfway through the procedure, a different hygienist came out to let me know that they would be unable to complete part of the procedure because my daughter was being uncooperative. By uncooperative, they meant that she was whining a little. I knew that she was just nervous and asked if I could go back to see her. They stated that I could only go back if I left my 3 year-old son in the care of my 9 year-old daughter in the waiting room; not an option. When it was over and my daughter came out I knew right away that something was wrong. She looked sick, she was crying, and she was in a great deal of pain. Against my wishes, they had given her nitrous. They stated that they used it because it helped her. It didn't help her, it helped the dentist. They were completely unapologetic and unprofessional. I asked if they could give her some Tylenol for the pain because we had driven 45 minutes to get there and I didn't want to make her wait until we got home. The receptionist stated that we could stop and get her something over-the-counter. After sleeping for three hours, she woke up with blood all over her face and pillow. I called the office right away and they stated that there was nothing wrong, she should just continue to swallow her blood soaked saliva. The person on the phone was extremely rude, and of course, the dentist was unavailable. Needless to say, I was furious and will never be returning to their office again. I absolutely do NOT recommend this dentist or this facility! It was an awful and traumatic experience. read more
