I decided to schedule here since I had errands on this side of town and used my VW app to schedule . It was easy and so convenient. Wait time was about an hour so I stayed and utilized the waiting area which was stocked with beverages from iced and hot coffee, lattes and macchiato to infused water station. Tons of tables if you wanted to bring your laptop and work ( I did not lol) Once my truck was finished , it arrived washed and ready to go. I was very happy with my appointment. read more

I genuinely didn't want to write a negative review. I sat on this for a bit, hoping I was just catching them on an off day. Nope. I was interested in a Golf R they recently took in on trade. First red flag right out of the gate: why is a car listed for sale that hasn't even been cleaned or prepped? If "as-is dust" is the new sales strategy, that should probably be disclosed. Alex sends me a quick video once I ask for one, which was fine. I then call back to discuss trading in my Audi RSQ8. I wasn't asking for a locked-in number -- just a ballpark estimate, which is completely standard. Instead, I'm told I have to bring the car in and that they won't even discuss a rough value without physically seeing it. And before anyone jumps in with "that's normal," it really isn't. 99.9% of dealerships (and no, that's not an exaggeration) will ask for photos and a VIN and give you a rough range. The reason? Apparently the used car manager "got burned once" on a 500-mile car. Cool story. For context, I could buy four brand-new Golf Rs for what an RSQ8 costs, but sure -- that one time scarred him for life. Anyway, between the unprepped car, the refusal to do even a basic estimate, and the overall vibe, I'm out. Wouldn't deal with them again. read more

In for service today. The rear view mirror broke after 10 days of using it. I had to wait two hours for the Warranty person to show up to see whether I had to pay out-of-pocket for the rearview mirror breaking. I had an 8 am appointment ...i was there at 7:45 and I did not get out until 1015. There has to be a better way to do that. It was a waste of my time and I missed two appointments. I wish it was possible to rate zero stars. Writing this review at the request of my parents who have continuosly received poor service since they purchased their Atlas brand new here a couple of years ago. They've experienced several minor issues with the hood lift support and electrical issues concerning the headlights, all things covered under the dealer's warranty. When they've called concerning coming in for these repairs, the service valet, Daniel Rivero always finds a reason to tell them that the service isn't covered by the warranty, hangs up in their communication, or lets them know that there are additional charges to getting these repairs handled. There's essentially no point in escalating it to the service manager, Robert Topping, as he doesn't do anything either. The worst part of all of this is that every time, they end up having to drive across town to the Orlando VW North location where they actually do their jobs well and EVERY time they sort out their issues with no questions asked. Most recently, after what seemed like an eternity of pulling teeth, they couldn't make it out to the North location and got the team at VW South to do a repair for them and not surprisingly, they did a poor service job. By the time they got around to scheduling a repair for the repair, they informed them that their warranty period had expired. It's absurd that they have to jump through all these hoops and drive ACROSS TOWN to receive quality service on a new vehicle that they purchased from THIS LOCATION. On Tuesday 5/27/25 I brought my 2019 Atlas to the VW dealership in South Orlando because my sunroof was leaking water. This is the 2nd time I had this issue on this vehicle. They were very quick to ask if I had ever serviced my vehicle at their location before. I told them No because I had recently moved to the Orlando area from Miami. When I brought my vehicle in, they said that they had to do a diagnostic to determine if the problem with the vehicle is still under warranty. They said they had to charge me upfront for the diagnostic ($262) to determine if the problem is covered under warranty. Meanwhile I found online that there is a Policy and Procedure Bulletin dated 8/22/23 titled Sunroof Limited Warranty Extension (attached) which states that it is in fact covered. They still charged me upfront. They also told me that since I had taken my vehicle to another dealership for the sunroof before that they could not fix it, if it is determined that it is the same problem that the other dealer fixed. They said I would have to take it back to the other dealership (which is 300 miles way in Miami). I later researched and found that that information is incorrect. I found that "a VW dealership cannot deny warranty coverage for work done at another VW dealership". I left my car and when I returned to pick it up they said that they fixed the water leak. They said that the drains were clogged and that they unclogged and serviced the drains. They said they put the vehicle through 2 car washes and there was no water leaking inside. The next day (Wednesday 5/28/25) it rained, and I noticed that there was some water in the back 3rd row, driver's side. I thought that may be it was just left over water from the previous problem. The day after (Thursday 5/29/25) it rained again and this time I went inside the car while it was raining and recorded the water flowing into the back driver's side of the vehicle. It was streaming inside profusely. I then returned to the dealership the next morning on Friday 5/30/25 and showed them the video. They said that because the technician that worked on the vehicle was off, I would have to return on Tuesday 6/3/25 (his next work day). I had already called VW and started a case to get a refund for the diagnostic fee ($262) that should have been covered under the warranty. The case was assigned to a Cassandra. She verified that indeed my vehicle was still covered under the extended warranty. When I had this problem before and took my vehicle to the dealership in Miami (Doral, FL) they were amazing. The service there was exquisite. Not only did they not hassle me and tell me lies about if and what was covered under the warranty, they drove me to Enterprise car rental and rented me a car while my vehicle was being fixed. At this dealership in south Orlando, it is my 3rd time here dealing with the issue and they did not offer me a loaner, rental or even an Uber ride home. The service person I have been dealing with at Orlondo (Hector) said that they do not offer anything at all to their customers. He said each dealership is privately owned and does their own thing. I've been sitting her for over 4 hours now. He had the audacity to tell me that they found the problem "a clink in the line" and are calling corporate to see if its covered and then determine if they have the part. This is a horrible experience. I have been a loyal VW customer for decades. I'm on my 4th VW and rest assure this will be my last. I was once proud to say I'm a VW guy, no more. They finally fixed the sunroof leak and showed me that the problem was some type of pinch in the egress tubing in the back driver's side of the vehicle which is where I told them and showed them the leak was from the beginning. Cassandra followed up with me the next week and I told her the sunroof is no longer leaking. I then asked about a refund for the $262 that they charged me for the diagnostic. She proceeded to advise me that the charge for the first visit which was the diagnostic and the that the warranty only covered the second visit the actual repair. I told her that had they done a proper diagnostic on the first visit and seen the actual problem and fixed it, there would not have been a need for the 2nd visit. At the point Cassandra started giving me push back and even cutting me off and not letting me speak. I am a customer service supervisor myself and her behavior was unprofessional and uncalled for. This experience was horrible and I am taking the time to write this review so that others do not have to go through what I went through. An update to this post: Nick R. the General Manager was kind enough to reach out to me and listen to my concerns. I felt that he cared about my experience and was willing to take my feedback seriously. Ultimately he was able to facilitate the warranty work that I originally requested. Because Nick took the time to reach out to me and to make things right, I feel that the dealership deserves another chance and more than a 1 star rating. I wanted to share with you how extremely disappointed I am with the service that I received today from your dealership. I also call into question the integrity of your service department. This is my second visit with your dealership and my first visit was exceptional and it was what drove me to return today. Unfortunately I had two warranty items that needed to be addressed. An eye glass holder and a window switch. I arrived at my scheduled time at 1:30 and was met with David S. I explained why I was there and he said he needed to perform a pre-inspection of the car and asked me to have a seat inside. After about 10 minutes David returned and asked me to sign the normal documents. One in particular was if anything was identified during the inspection that I would be asked to pay for any services. Perfectly normal up to this point. I was told that the service would take 2 hours which I found to be a bit much but my family and I had no choice but to wait for the vehicle. Around 3:30 I was told that my vehicle was ready. I wanted to check everything before leaving so I performed a quick inspection. The glasses holder was taken care of but I wasn't too thrilled that the mechanic did not wash his hands and he left fingerprints all over the overhead consul. What I did find alarming was the window switch was not repaired. It still pulled out when you used it. I decided to show David and his response is that I was pulling too hard on the switch. My response was it shouldn't do that to begin with. When I pulled the switch housing out I noticed that the mechanic used 3M double sided tape. This is not an acceptable VW standard for repair. This is a barnyard repair that I would expect a lesser mechanic to perform. I could tell that David was powerless and had no empowerment so I request to speak to the Service Manager. After a short wait I was greeted by Robert T. I showed him what I found and he told me that it wasn't covered under warranty. When I asked why he told me that it was because the corner of the switch housing was damaged. I assured him that it wasn't like that when I brought it in. He then told me that the 3M tape was used because that was the only fix. He also told me that he was the one that initially removed the switch. So what is the service manager doing working on my car instead of a mechanic? From my perspective VW damaged the switch and made it worse. I felt like my integrity was being questioned when the repair was so shoddy. Also if it wasn't under warranty, why wasn't I charged for the service? I agreed to when I signed the documents that I would pay for any parts or labor if it was brought to my attention, but it wasn't. I feel like VW was trying to be sneaky with a sub par repair and was hoping to send me on my way. Why wasn't this so called damaged switch brought to my attention when David pre-inspected it? It should have been brought up when you wouldn't honor the warranty. Another thing that was equally disturbing is that when I said the repair was not acceptable or to what I would expect from VW, Robert said he would give me a quote to purchase a replacement part. Why would I purchase a part that your dealership damaged? That's when I lost all respect and saw that he had no integrity. When I told him that it would be my last service visit with VW he didn't seem to care and brushed me off. Not only has the service department lost my business, but I am now reluctant to purchase a VW in the future if this is the integrity that your company represents. It's too bad that you lost my business but most importantly my respect over what is probably a $30 part. I don't expect a service recovery or a response. 10/09/2024 Update: Don't be fooled by their response below to my review, I reached out to Mr. Topping and they are not doing anything to help. Stay away from this place. READ ME. Stay away from Orlando VW South. TL;DR - Dealership not taking accountability for damage caused to my vehicle and extended warranty repair cost. I want to preface this review by saying I've been a long time customer of Orlando VW South for over 10 years and have been going to this dealership when it was back at the Americana Blvd location. Sadly I will no longer be bringing my VW here for anything anymore. I recently had my Tiguan serviced at Orlando Volkswagen South to address the sunroof drains when I noticed the passenger rear floor was soaking wet with water. The sunroof drains are known to be faulty (kinked/pinched tubes) because VW offers an extended warranty bulletin to fix the issue. My original visit to address the faulty sunroof drains was at the end of August, I paid the ~$200 service fee and was advised by the Service Manager (SA) that the drains were clogged. They cleared the drains and I was assured the issue had been resolved. A couple of weeks later I notice the passenger rear floor was soaking wet again. I notify the SA that the issue has not been fixed and he advises me to schedule an appointment which I did. I bring my vehicle back in and advise the SA of my disappointment from my prior visit results. I also mention the extended warranty bulletin and class action lawsuit pertaining to the sunroof drains. Later the same day the SA advised they cannot determine why water is leaking into the cabin of the vehicle unless they remove the headliner to investigate the drains. After I approve VW to remove the headliner for ~$650, they concluded the drain tubes needed to be replaced. VW replaced the drain tubes at no cost to me but refuses to pay for the cost to remove and reinstall the headliner. In addition, I spent ~$300 for mold mitigation detailing due to the water which they are not holding themselves accountable for. Now with the drain tubes replaced, water no longer leaks into the cabin. Lastly, when I came to pay and collect my car I noticed a palm tree trunk was laying below my vehicle. After inspecting my vehicle for damage as a result of the tree, I noticed there were some scratches on the rear bumper that I don't recall being there before dropping it off for service. While the rear bumper did have some paint blemishes/scratches before dropping the car off, it is my position that new scratches were incurred as a result of the fallen tree. I reached out to the dealership for a response but they are ignoring my communications. I requested Orlando VW South to provide me with some type of proof, preferably video evidence, substantiating that the tree did not hit my vehicle as claimed by the representative I spoke with when I picked up the car. I have yet to hear back from them. The customer service at this dealership is non existent and recommend people to avoid this dealership if at all possible. read more

Customers might receive one of these 69.99 coupons in the mail for a synthetic oil change. Despite the dealership's name plastered all over the coupon, they refused to honor it. According to Mike at VW south "he would be losing money if he accepted it, you can speak to a manager but it won't help you." As someone who has worked their whole life in customer service, I know that the way you speak to others makes all the difference. Mike was rude and belittling to me. Had my Tiguan towed to VW South from the airport because on a flat tire. When trying to change the tire and put on spare I couldn't find the socket to take off the anti theft lug nut. I bought the 2023 Tiguan new from Napleton VW and Sanford. After the tow to VW south the tire technician said I needed a new tire. At first I said just put spare on and I would go else where. But I needed the Tiguan the next day so I let them install a new tire $220.00. I ask for the old tire which only has 17000 miles on it. After I got home I inspected the tire, it had a small piece of metal it see pic. I took it the Firestone to get repaired, they said the tire has no other problem they fixed the leak for $10.00. I don't think the tire technician never looked at my tire. I will never go back to Orlando VW South I will now only go to Napleton VW in Sanford read more

The sales rep offered to drive me out to Orlando from Ocala to come to their lot to look at other vehicles I didn't care about and didn't even bother to mention that the vehicle was taken down from CarGurus and sent to auction for the fuel system issue until I discovered it for myself and started asking question... if they have 1 vehicle that gets sold without the proper routine diagnostics then I would absolutely without a doubt not trust any other vehicles that come off this lot. Two months ago I scheduled an appointment to have my ID.4 Serviced at this dealership. I knew it was going to be a long service so I planned a Disney trip as a way to drop the car off and not have to stress about not having a car. The appointment was supposed to be tomorrow, they called me at 5:34 PM to tell me they could not service my car tomorrow and that there is a waitlist for ID.4 service. Nevermind that I made this appointment TWO MONTHS ago they couldn't be bothered to contact me to tell me anything about a waitlist. In addition, I actually called them at lunch today to confirm if I could drop the car off early and was told sure no problem. Skip this one if you're buying a car that'll need servicing. read more

I took my vehicle there for a diagnostic for $250. I had to call every couple days because no one would call with an update. My service tech was Justin and he would not call me with a status, I would have to call him. First they said it was the ECM and then they said it wasn't that and then they change the $30 part and the car still didn't work. My car was in the shop for a month and a half so I decided that I was just gonna bring my car home because Justin told me my car was not worth repairing because it has so many issues. I called that Friday and told them I will be having a tow truck pick up my car. They said OK. I also called on Monday to let them know that a tow truck was coming to pick up my car and if everything was ready? they said the car was ready to be towed and picked up. When the tow company arrived, the car was not ready and they held my car hostage until I paid the bill. The company ended up waiting almost a whole hour and had to leave. Instead of Justin calling me to collect payment or tell me he had to collect Payment, The tow company called me and let me know the situation. I called and spoke to Justin and he said I was not able to make a payment over the phone until I suggested a credit card authorization through email. He did not provide me with that option. It took him almost 30 minutes to email me the credit card authorization and by then the tow company had left. I had to pay the tow company to return and pick up my car for the second time on the same day and even though my bill was paid, the car was not ready and they had to wait for some other cars to be moved out of the way Again, no one called and communicated this to me. Only the tow company. Justin said he didn't know what I was talking about. I called to speak to a service manager and left several messages and no one called me back that day. today I called to speak to a service manager and was given Justin. I refused to speak to Justin because I asked to speak to a manager and they transferred me three times to voicemail. I still have not received a call from anyone to discuss my situation and now they don't actually pick up the phone at all for me. I'm assuming caller ID. My final bill was over $700 with no diagnostic. I took my car to a different mechanic to diagnose and repair my car and it was done in less than 3 days. The only thing this tells me is that the mechanic they have is not able to do his job. You can't charge someone for an extensive amount of labor hours because you are not experienced. I recommend you do not come here for any type of repair because the mechanics they have on hand are not experienced enough to take care of their own brand cars and they're just gonna charge you for all of the hours it takes an inexperienced mechanic to waist your time and money. read more

Shame on me, shame on you.. Prior to this recent purchase I've purchased 2 vw's from this location. This purchase makes number 3. About a month ago i was involved in an accident with a careless driver that ended up totaling my 2015 Passat Sport. A week after I found a 2016 Passat R Line at David Maus VW South available for sale on true car. I expressed my interest via the app and shortly after I received a call from Wesley and agreed to meet up with him. When I went to look at the car there was rain in the area. When Wesley brought the car around he did mention that the car was not looking its best since it was a recent lease return. The first look was brief, to the point where I overlooked exterior issues and proceeded to go inside and talk about the numbers. I explained to Wesley my situation and that i would like to keep my payment close to the current payment I had for my previous vehicle. He was able to get the number right on target and offered a loaner vehicle. Pretty much a no brainer. Before we proceeded any further I noticed the sky had cleared and went outside to look over the car once more. While looking at the exterior of the car I noticed multiple scuffs on the front and rear bumper covers. Also on the rear bumper cover there was a deep gouge that the previous owner tried to fill and cover up. The passenger mirror was super glued together. The roof was probably the worst, the previous owner sprayed painted about 1/4 of the roof from the drivers side to the center and it looked like shit! So much to that I was seriously considering walking away from the deal. Wesley assured me that the issues could be corrected. I then went to look at the interior, boy was this car was not loved and the previous owner was a slob! Crumbs everywhere, it seems like she ate in her car daily and never bothered to clean it up! Over all the interior was disgusting. Wesley once again assured it could be corrected and the detail guys would be able to clean it up. I believed Wesley's word was his bond so I agreed to purchase and we filled out a "we owe you" document and pictures were taken. After many delayed deliveries I finally got the car 3 weeks later. I walked around the car and the scuffs and gouges were corrected. I then proceeded to look at the problem area on the roof that also looked better. Interior was cleaned and looked good as well. the glued together mirror was replaced too. __________________________________________________________ So as the reader your probably thinking why the two star review?... Well here is why: 1. While on the interstate the passenger mirror (the mirror itself) gets blown left to right cause the internal mount is broken. 2. The newly installed mirror housing is not seated properly where it meets the door and window. 3. There is over spray on the door seal on the driver side and other places around the car. 4. While it looks shiny in the sun, the car is white and it tricks your eye but when in the shade it's clear the paint has orange peel, fish eyes and junk in the paint. Not to mention the terrible terrible terrible blend on the drivers side rear drip rail and a run on the drivers side front drip rail. All in all after a 3 week wait you'd expect a better quality job! Not the buy here pay here dealership quality shit that was given to me. I wouldn't be surprised if this paint doesn't lasts for a year. In closing: It kinda makes me wonder..if I didn't make the purchase and the car was going to the lot, would they put the car on lot with such poor quality and hope someone wouldn't notice. Or would they make sure the car looked immaculate so they can get top dollar. I hope the people who can make a difference at David Maus VW South will reach out to me to look at the car and correct my concerns. My suggestion is someone has to pay closer attention to the DETAILS in the department that handles this to ensure fit and finish is exceptional quality. It took 3 weeks! Think about the money that you paid to your contracted painter to do a sub-par paint job. If I were him I'd be laughing all the way to the bank! After the 1st week someone should've made the decision to send the car to one of the collision centers that you have to get painted by a professional painter. Not a guy in the back lot with a pop up tent that is good for touch ups and small paint correction. As for the shame on me, shame on you part. - Shame on me, for purchasing a car against my better judgement. - Shame on you, for allowing and putting out poor quality work to be considered acceptable to your customers. __________________________________________________________ Lastly, Wesley did well with the sale, and tried to keep me updated on the status of my vehicle I can't fault him. I've visited the service department at this dealership twice in the past week. Both experiences were NOT good. I felt dismissed, disrespected, bullied and like I was being taken advantage of. Definitely two of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I was ready to write a very nasty review but decided to share my experiences with the Service Manager, Deven, first. I believe that a company can't fix problems they are unaware of. Deven was professional, apologized and completely took care of me. For this reason I'm giving HIM 4 stars. terrible service, I was charged $1600 for an oil leak that wasn't even fixed, when I came back they tried to charge me $4800 more, it turned out it was a gasket $60 worth, these are very dishonest people they tried to charge me $6500 in total when it was only a gasket if you want to get ripped off this is the place to go to. You go in for something simple like an oil change(doubt it's been done) and get your car back with problems that they probably created, tampered with, swap out or didn't even serviced. Had his own finance first time doing it all on his own was super excited they shot that down the first time him went to the dealership. They had to bring it down just 500$ and would not budge off the bullshit fees! who on gods earth would pay 1600 for a tire and wheel package???? I can get it on my own at cost, they would not budge. And the sales guy! Buddy find a new career you where rude with the lady next to me and you tried with me and I shut you down, if I was your General manager you would not be at work today! Went in at 1pm for a battery change, didn't get my car back until 3:30pm. My service advisor Michael obviously did not want to be there. He was not friendly at all. I asked if they to add air in my tires, they obviously didn't as I can see how low the tires were, I asked if they checked the PSI, they acted as if me (the customer) was bothering them. 10/10 will not come back to this place. I'm not quite sure what to think. I had a headlight/daytime running light out. One of them is in an awkward position and I can't handle that on my own. The other is easy to handle but I didn't want to buy a bulb and find out that it was the other side. Service Advisor Kevin gave me a clear estimate, and I asked if they had a radio antenna since mine had disintegrated to where it was falling apart during the trip. After a while, they had replaced the light bulb, but he said that they didn't have radio antennas in stock and that it would be $80 anyway. I was a bit shocked. Minutes later, he came to tell me that they had finished with the car and he was going to show me another light that was out, but would require pulling the headlight assembly to replace. He also mentioned that he "found some old antennas" and replaced mine for free. Cynical me thinks that this was some game, similar to the games the sales people play when you're trying to buy a vehicle and they need to talk to their manager. If it's not a game, that's just great. In any case, I avoided going to Aristocrat, whose service advisor spoke to me in an irritated tone of voice, as though my having service from 1999 to 2007 wasn't enough for him, even though he had just started there. If Kevin is typical of David Maus VW, I'd be pleased to have them as my dealership. Update: Oh, I loved (sarcasm) the call from the sales person today. I explained where I lived immediately, which is not Florida, and that my fourth VW was likely my last. He continued. I didn't have the title, but he continued anyway. Very disappointed with this dealership, went in on Monday to get my car checked out when my sun roof was leaking and I had mold on my carpet due to the sunroof having a recall. I was there from my appointment time at 8:30 AM to about 12 in the afternoon was told to bring my car back, or I can leave it there. Ended up bringing my car back for an appointment 7:30 AM on Thursday. I was told during dropping off my car that my car will be ready by Thursday night great, I left and headed home they did not have a loaner car available so I had to get a ride from a friend. Once I got home I got a call from the service department saying that my car had an issue with the carpeting that they ordered and they had to order new carpet so my car would not be done until Friday. I said OK and then decided to call on Friday at 2 o'clock when I had not heard anything. Needless to say I was told at 2 o'clock that the mechanic had a family issue and never came in they were trying to get another mechanic in to fix my car but they weren't sure, I told them for the 10th time that I had work Saturday morning an hour and a half from my house and desperately need my vehicle or a loaner Friday night so I can use in the morning Saturday, David in service promised me that he would call me by 5 PM Friday and guaranteed that I would have a loaner vehicle waiting for me Friday night. Fast forward to 6;30 PM today Friday. I called was told that the service department is closed and I would have to call back in the morning, I am very upset because I was promised my car multiple days and I understand things happen but now they're flat out lying to me and not returning calls when they were promising they would call me back I will never buy a car or ever bring my car back to this place again.
