Pressured me with an extended warranty that I didn't want - said that they would not sell me the car at the agreed upon price without purchase of the warranty. I requested a cancellation of the warranty in January, it is now the end of May and I have not received a refund. I paid the account in full for the vehicle, the check should have been mailed to me. It was incorrectly mailed to Ford TWICE and now the entire staff is ignoring my calls and emails. Update to my previous review (8/13/25): My initial review detailed the frustrating experience of purchasing a vehicle from Orleans Ford with a persistent and unresolved wobbling issue. I am now providing a critical update on the situation, as it has unfortunately gone from disappointing to outright shocking. After multiple failed attempts by Orleans Ford's service department to diagnose the issue, I took my 2015 Ford Escape Titanium to an independent mechanic. The diagnosis was immediate and clear, confirming my worst fears. The mechanic found heavily leaking rear struts and badly degraded wheel bearings. The repairs were completed on 8/7/25, with the mechanic noting that the remaining bearings are now starting to show symptoms and the front struts are also exhibiting significant wear. A CarFax report confirms these parts--now 10 years old with 67,536 miles on the vehicle--have never been replaced. Mileage at purchase was 63,520 This directly contradicts the dealership's failure to identify a fundamental safety issue with original equipment that was clearly at the end of its life. In an effort to professionally resolve this, I returned to Orleans Ford to speak with General Manager Jim Poler. After an initial missed connection, I waited at the dealership to meet him. Instead of a professional conversation in his office, Mr. Poler met me in the service center parking lot. The brief and astonishingly unprofessional conversation that followed was held right there next to my car. After a quick summary of my experience, Mr. Poler abruptly told me to "seek legal counsel." He proceeded to undermine the expertise of the independent mechanic who had actually repaired the car, claiming there was nothing wrong with the vehicle and that he stands by his service department without any verification of his own. When I offered to produce the removed parts as proof, he told me to "give them to your lawyer." I had not threatened any sort of legal action. To end the conversation, he instructed me to not contact anyone at the dealership other than him going forward. I was so taken aback by this behavior that I had to walk inside to confirm I was indeed speaking to the General Manager, which he affirmed in front of his sales team before once again telling me to contact a lawyer. All I ever wanted was for my legitimate problems, now proven with physical evidence, to be handled by a professional business. Instead, I was met with complete dismissal and contempt. This experience has been more than just a costly inconvenience; it has fundamentally shaken my trust in this dealership. I would not recommend anyone do business here. read more

Road service arrived quickly, (not from Orleans Ford) however not only did I not have a donut for a spare which may or may not have been pointed out to me prior to purchase (my bad for not checking that out too!) but the quick repair kit that I found in the trunk was empty! I'll start at the buying experience. It was good. They made it easy when it came to the paperwork and everything along those lines. Car is a brand new 2019 Mustang. I get home with my vehicle and I am already noticing a few imperfections in the paint. I figure it may be bugs, road debris etc. and I'll wash it off. Well, it never washed off. I texted Mike Mereck who sold me the car to tell him about these problems. No reply. So long story short I have to make an hour trip back out to Orleans ford for a warranty "estimate." The warranty guy grabs his paper, no camera and says let's take a look. Well I point out these imperfections and as a snarky comment decides to puff his chest out and say "I've been doing this 33 years and that's not what you're saying it is, this is from sitting on our lot for 12-13 months" (for one-admitting the blame, and for 2 it's not my fault you didn't wash and take care of your inventory) he then says "are you sure this car is for you" I said "what do you mean" he replies "well you want to be so particular about everything on here but you'll be paying for most of it" now I'm livid. I tell him "thats bullishi-, I pay $50,000 for a car and this is what I get, yes I'm going to be particular about it." He says "this can't be a warranty claim. I'll put this paper on the sales managers desk and he will call you tomorrow morning" I said okay and re-iterated "have him call me, tomorrow morning" he replied "I will" and we said our goodbyes. Next morning. No call. The weekend, no call. Monday- Guess what- no call. So I decided to call Ford directly. Spoke to the regional manager of Ford the same day to up chain this claim to include the attitude, terrible customer service and snarky comments. I told them I wouldn't deal with Orleans again and I'll go else where. West herr ford of Amherst has been a huge help so far in this process. All in all Orleans Ford has an absolute terrible customer service, an unwelcoming entrance to the dealership and seem to be quite miserable. Hope this helps a few folks. read more

They took advantage of my 22 year old son. 2 days later I tried to bring the car back and get his car he traded in back and they said it would cost me 6k !!! I called first thing Monday morning and was told that their is a Recall for that same issue and that parts are back ordered at the factory. My husband purchased a 2014 Ford van from Orleans Ford in 2016. It had a Carfax that showed that the vehicle was not involved in any accidents. A few weeks after purchase a car fanatic friend told us the van had been in an accident. A mechanic checked it out and told us it had been in an accident. We told Orleans Ford and were told that they do not inspect used vehicles for sale and that they are sold as is. They absolutely refused to do anything for us. I felt deceived that they used the Carfax as a selling point. Do not believe the comments for the negative reviews to call them and they will look into the matter. They could not care less that they had an unhappy customer. If I had known they do not inspect used vehicles and could not care less if the Carfax was incorrect my husband would never have purchased this vehicle. Why bother buying from a dealership if the vehicle isn't even inspected and the Carfax is incorrect? Buy a used vehicle from a private buyer and get a cheaper price. The vehicle came from Canada and we discovered was owned by a rental fleet. The company did their own repairs so of course, the US Carfax was clean. We had been told by the Orleans Ford salesman that the vehicle was definitely not a rental. We only discovered it was a rental by obtaining a Canadian carfax. Again, they could not care less that they deceived us by telling us it was not a rental. First - I bought a 2018 Escape with 500 miles ... plenty of factory warranty on it, so I bought it for the price. Everything we did was over the phone or text, as I live 40 miles from the dealer. You know George, sometimes companies get too big for their britches and things like quality, customer service and operations start to fall to the wayside. Potential customers beware, they'll get you into a vehicle real quick, but when there's a problem (and there always is) you'll be put on the back burner or better yet, you'll sit in that dump of a place for hours and hours while employees go home and don't inform you or the other co-workers the status of your repair before they leave. just got my car serviced. told them to check everything, as I'm about to go on a long road trip. I'm under warrantee, so check everything on the same bill/deductible. they balanced my wheels, checked brakes, etc...told me that I was good to go except my tires should be replaced...which they could do for me and quoted a very high price. went elsewhere to get new tires. they tell me that three of my four wheels are out of alignment. ?? I call medina ford back and ask why they didn't check (and fix) my alignment when I was in there getting serviced a few days before. I made it VERY clear that I was about to go on a long trip and wanted to make sure car was in tip-top condition. I was told that they would have noticed, I must have run over a pothole or something. um, yeah, since it's three wheels out of whack, i must have run over several potholes...and, in a week, wheels that had been perfectly aligned for a while, driving over these same phantom potholes, suddenly aren't anymore. clearly asscovering, but ok. if you are going to make up bs, at least try to make things right, work with me, offer to align the darn wheels that you missed. I'm fine with the inconvenience of going back in...everyone can make mistakes...shouldn't have to pay another deductible. I'm going to get the wheels aligned someplace else, I guess. the worst thing is not the incompetence of sending me off on a long trip with a screwed up alignment. tho that is bad. the worst thing is making excuses and not fixing their mistake. you just lost my business, medina ford. inexcusable. hopefully, by writing this, I can help someone else avoid getting screwed by these jokers. read more

I would like to say buying a new vehicle is a exciting day, but it wasn't for me. I made the ride out to look at a vehicle, I liked it , few issues but vehicle was within factory warranty so no worries on my part. Two days later I had a check in my hand for vehicle from my credit union, which all the pricing was faxed directly to them . I addressed the issues with sales person and said I will pickup vehicle next week so they had 8 days to complete the needed repairs. Also advised sales person and finance person to renew registration when transfer was being done. I now take a extended lunch break to pickup my vehicle on Friday at 11:30 , 3 1/2 hours of sitting in showroom, I was told the guys are on lunch and didn't inspect vehicle yet. To finally have vehicle pulled out to me to instantly see a filthy (new) truck , registration not renewed, and none of the repairs completed. I have pictures if anyone would like to see how I was given a vehicle. Then I'm looking at paperwork and I had to pay 1000$ down that wasn't in paperwork and I already had a check from my credit union. Severe Discuss at this point I put 1000$ on my credit card and leave with a vehicle that has problems and leave my old vehicle that had none. 1 week later I brought the vehicle in to have some repairs done and others they overlooked. My vehicle has been to Dave smith ford now 2 times to have the repairs completed correctly. My registration never came in and I also had to go to dmv and pay for a replacement. I've called several times to speak to a GM , owner , etc , left messages with no one contacting me back. I'm beyond disappointed with spending 37,000$ with this dealer and advise you to go to Dave smith Ford. I had a long and detailed conversation with the sales manager John Paz regarding a 2016 used Lincoln MKX This conversation took place Tuesday February 28th at 6pm. In this conversation with the sales manager John Paz, we discussed the vehicle I was interested in and he said that as the vehicle had been in inventory 105 days he was going to work up a price offer for me and call me Wednesday March 1st with this offer!! Yes!!! I'm excited this is a vehicle my wife and I are eager to purchase!! I then went online and found on their website a near identical 2016 MKX ( except color) I called the dealership back ( 7:10 pm) John Paz had gone for the day, so I talked to Michael Narburgh, a sales consultant with whom I had a previous good experience, I explained my previous detailed conversation with the sales manager, and he and I setup an appointment for 10am March 1st to view both vehicles side by side. ***Knowing that I had just talked to the sales manager*** So I show up at 10 am March 1st and I am greeted by Michael , we review both vehicles " on paper" I explain that we are most interested in the MKX that I initially called John Paz about, the 105 day old MKX that John was supposed to be working up an offer for me......??? At this moment a conference is held with Randy Klatt the other sales manager.......wait....where's John Paz.....?? " John is off today, this is his day off" Michael informs me. Well " did John know he's be off when we spoke" " well yes , I don't know why he said he'd call you " Michael then went on to say "John is old school, he probably just wanted to get you in the door" OH.....I get it BAIT AND SWITCH...!!!!!!!!! OH OK....!!!!!!, that's how I see this tactic...... At this point Randy Klatt, bounds out of his office, and introduces himself and asks " what did John tell you" I then explain what John Paz promised and Randy then explained that John should have never said such a thing, I then said " so bottom line JohnPaz lied to me....?? " Randy Klatt then said to me, don't even test drive a car, have a good day, and they let this customer walk away angry, upset, and misled............. I had a terrible experience with Orleans Ford. They were dishonest and unprofessional. I can not believe they are still in business. I spoke to Kevin at the end of December to haggle a price for a 2014 Ford Fiesta. We came to an agreement a few weeks later. I drove 7 hours from the Philadelphia area to pick up the car which Kevin was aware of. When we arrived at the dealership, we were greeted by Kevin and the Customer Service lady. She began to go over the warranties. Kevin got the car and we did a walk around. There were small scratches all over the car and an area that was badly patched on the back. My dad who lives in the area was displeased that they did not even detail the car. We then went for a test drive. The very first thing we noticed was a couple large scrapes on the side of the interior passenger door. The air vent also had deep scrapes and had popped out. The leather seat's stitching was coming undone too. We arrived back at the dealership very disappointment about the dishonesty of Kevin and Orleans Ford. There was no indication in the pictures or description online of the damage. I also went online to view the pictures again. The pictures were taken at angles were the damage could not be seen. There also was not a picture of the door that had damage. Kevin claimed to not have known about the damage and just continued to apologize. We told him that this was unacceptable. He continued to apologize that it was his mistake and not the dealerships. He was basically trying to cover for the dealership's reputation even though the photographs prove the dishonesty began with them. He offered to purchase the parts and mail them to me in order for ME to make the repairs! I told him that they can replace them or pay for a dealership near me to replace them. I then asked for a quote for the parts and labor. The repair team said it would cost a couple thousand dollars and they would not make the repairs. Obviously, we walked away from the car due to the dishonest and disrespect. I have NEVER dealt with a dealership that does not care about their customers. The dealership is extremely dishonest. Bought a 2017 Ford F150 Limited in Dec. 2017. Day of purchase and pick up- the sales rep, Kevin Frasier just handed us the keys ...and walked away. never showed us one thing on the operation of the truck. if he had , he would have noticed the car jack missing and we would not have to realize weeks later it was missing and had to drive an hour back to the dealership to get one. Days after purchasing, I was seeing what looked like oil on my new concrete driveway, wasn't sure since there was snow and slush, etc. When the drive cleared, it was a complete disaster! driveway had oil spots all over it. I sent photos, telling them that is was not oil, appeared to be transmission fluid due to the reddish color and was not beading up when water was on top of it. It took service 3x to figure out the problem. First was told that it was due to the last oil change was not wiped off properly and be sure the next time an oil change is done to tell them that they need to wipe it down really good because the oil filter is difficult to get to and spillage can happen often. BS! you think i am going to tell someone that does oil changes all the time what to do as if they know how to do an oil change! third time they figured out it was the transmission and the pan and gasket had to be replaced. all along i was telling them about the turbo making an ungodly noise - gurgling and backfiring and making loud noises. it was terrible! almost to the point of being afraid to drive the truck. Was told that was the way it was to sound. another BS story. finally after numerous times they finally said it was only the left turbo booster that needed to be replaced- not the right even thought the noise was coming from both sides. the day the truck was finished i had to call to see if the truck was done. they never called. they never called to let me know the parts were in for 18 days to do the repair. Poor communication!!! Pulled into the dealership- took items out of loaner car to put in the truck, Saw a man that i thought was the owner and said excuse me SIR- are you the owner. He said yes and don't call me SIR- call me George! I walked over, introduced myself and proceeded to tell him the story of the issues that I was having with the truck since it was purchased less than 4 months prior. I was not upset or mad- just was told by Joanne Watt( finance lady) that the owner is all about customer service and would like to know about this. it was nothing pressing to even tell him, but since he was right there in the parking lot i thought i would introduce myself and simple tell him of the problems I was having and i was there to pick it up. After a very short conversation, George Bidleman, owner of Orleans Ford, throws his arms out to the side and yells loudly at me why I went around telling everyone he had a losey dealership. I paused, paused again...started thinking what is he talking about? finally i said, SIR- i never said that. What are you taking about? He tells I said that I was going around telling everyone he had a terrible dealership. it was like the Twilight Zone! I never said anything like that. i had no reason to. Joanne Watt was absolutely wonderful. Never had an issue, never had words, never was any displeasure conveyed with anyone in the dealership. My partner walks over and asked what was going on. George gets right into his face, nose to nose and asks loudly- AND WHAT DO YOU GUYS DO FOR A LIVING? my partner paused and said that had nothing to do with it that we had paid 60K for a truck we have had nothing but trouble with. George proceeds to snap at my partner by saying- Look how YOU are yelling at me now...my partner wasn't saying a word. This was bizarre! George proceeds to yell at one of his employees to go call the police and if you don't call the police you are out of a job! George says be sure to tell the police that I just laid a hand on him and assaulted him. This man is down right crazy! Never touched the man. Police arrived, told them how George flipped out for no reason and was making things up. I am unsure what caused it, possibly could be the first signs of dementia, maybe he was drinking, maybe poor blood circulation, stroke- but he went crazy. George denies ever saying that I laid a hand on him and assaulted him. Here he is making things up and then denying it all. The man is crazy. never got a call that the parts were in and never got a call that the truck was ready for pickup. The Turbo booster was never fixed- still makes the noise. Beware! No one should buy from this place EVER! I regret it! Go elsewhere! There was NO deal when bought. NONE! Plenty of other dealers that will treat you far better - the way you deserve to be treated! We contacted the dealership about a used Ford Mustang convertible. Got financing and the Treasurer's check for full price including dealer's fees from our credit union. Were scheduled to see it on Saturday and purchase it if we liked it. Got a call from someone named Rick who said we could buy and pay for it but would have to leave it there because New York State law said we needed an insurance card for that vehicle in order to drive it away. Never have had that when I've purchased a vehicle. Called our insurance agent and she said they would not issue a card unless the policyholder owned it. All other vehicles I've ever purchased have the policy number written the purchase invoice and that is fine for the State Police. This "Rick" said he was the sales manager and I see here in the last review that someone else is said to be sales manager. No way would I buy and pay for a vehicle and leave it there.....didn't sound right at all. Also Rick sounded too young to be sales manager and didn't seem to be knowledgeable about what he was saying. We had this "Rick" call our insurance agent and she had no idea what he was saying about needing an insurance card to drive a vehicle away and they'd never done that before and this is Erie Insurance, the 12th largest auto insurer in the U.S. After seeing these other negative reviews, I wish I had seen them earlier. Had contemplated calling the dealership and talking to their general manager but from the other reviews, this problem is throughout their dealership. Beware! and ask questions. read more
