    Spicy turkey melt
    Westyn R.

Ormsby's is a spot where you grab after work drinks and a delicious meal. You seat yourself and then will be immediately greeted by staff. The space itself is a a dimly lit pub that's is great for groups. There's plenty of TV's to watch the big game of course. There is also a downstairs portion that includes games such as Bocce ball. The menu is full of elevated bar food. There's something for everyone. It was hard deciding what I wanted to eat but I chose the spicy turkey melt. It had turkey, kimchi and jalepnos and "rowdy sauce". I'm not sure what rowdy sauce is but I wanted to bathe my turkey melt in it. The sandwich was unique and had plenty of meat. When it arrived at the table even everyone said "whoa that looks good!". I guess I chose right!

Come for the games. Pay attention to the menu. I ordered a tasty non alcoholic beer for $12. Imagine my surprise paying a cocktail price for a beer with no alcohol. Loved the bottle and art work though. The empanadas were ok, I liked the crust but the filling and sauce could be better. Lastly I ordered the vegetable curry and added shrimp. The shrimp were grilled to perfection but the curry could have been spicier in my opinion. Overall I've been here before to play bar games and drink with friends and I think that's the best part of this place. I won't be coming back just for dinner. Thank you for the parking validation and for the server who exchanged my husband's burger. Inside is chilly but outside has bugs, pick your battle.

Gorgeous establishment serving delicious food and a hotspot for fun, free group games on the lower floor. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was treated to a generous shrimp portion smothered in a delicious sauce and richly flavored grits. Cheap drinks. Their cooked peanuts were delicious; I've never had anything of the sort -- marinated in a thick, dark spicy sauce. The expansive basement is filled with fun, free group games that my group of 1 12 was able to enjoy on a Saturday night, free of line (several bocce courts, shuffleboard, giant uno).

Went for a surprise party. I was surprised myself to see the restaurant was split levels with games on the lower level as well. It has a kind of sports bar feel to it that encourages socialization with all patrons. The food was also good. Our server was working very hard trying to keep up since we had a large party but a great time was had overall.

This place is a two for one deal. Upstairs is your normal restaurant and bar and then downstairs is a bar and game area. They have pool, skeeball, board games and etc. the service and food was left much to be expected. I had a grill chicken sandwich which was just plain and blah. Also the bread pudding needed something. First to be heated up and second ice cream. I felt the best part was the pickle. Now my friends I was there with enjoyed their sandwiches. Our server seems to get ghost a lot. When we got our food we wanted some sauces and our server didn't come back till almost we were done.

I've been here quite a few times and it's exceptional. The food is delicious, their upscale pub / speakeasy atmosphere is beautiful, and their downstairs bar and game area is fantastic and rowdy on a Friday or Saturday night. They have great cocktails, craft beers, and wonderfully memorable food. And great service! I like to take people here whenever I can because it always feels like the perfect kind of place for most occasions - whether it's with a friend, on a date, a lunch with colleagues, or going solo, for lunch, dinner, or grabbing drinks. By looking on google, it might be hard to piece together that the pool tables and games are downstairs - not where their seating is on the main floor, where you enter. Some people may think it's more of a dive bar kind of vibe, but no all of these things are downstairs.

    FGT BLT and Fries
    Gregory B.

Tasted as expected for a bar, not bad though. Huge serving of fries that were nice and crispy, the bread for the BLT was soft and tasted good. Would recommend the same items if you're going, but if you're not a tomato fan, I would look at something else.

I had a situation where I felt uncomfortable and unsafe due to the actions of another patron, and the staff immediately came to my aid and handled things professionally. For that reason alone, Ormsbys has gained me as a new regular and I'll always support them. I truly appreciate how everyone came together to help me and turn my crummy evening around. Oh yeah since I should mention food somehow, the hand-cut fries and dipping sauces made in-house were the perfect bar appetizer.

The food is good especially the burger. The service wasn't that great but I've coke other times and it was better. Very dim lit & gaming ambiance. To have a few drinks and play some board games with friends, check them out.

    Bocce Ball

I have been coming to Ormsby's for about 10+ years now, and it's proven to be quite a staple in the Midtown neighborhood. This time around I came with my wife, and some family that was in from out of town. We only came for drinks, but they do have a full menu as well. The service is pretty good, but it can get quite sloppy when it's super busy, which is a fair trade-off. There is an upstairs and a downstairs area. The upstairs area is much more tame than the downstairs area. Upstairs you can have a conversation where you don't have to yell so much, but when you're downstairs, especially on a weekend, it gets extremely loud. Ormsby's has a bunch of different board games in addition to 2 full bocce ball courts downstairs as well. Ormsby's is definitely the type of place you go to with a group of people. It's not exactly a date night spot, in my opinion. It's located right in the Westside Provisions District, so it's close to many other restaurants as well. I would recommend coming to Ormsby's for drinks either before or after an outing. The food is good, but the vibe is more-so of a drinking one, not an eating one. There is a parking deck attached to this entire retail space, but I am not too entirely sure if they validate parking or not. I would suggest using ride-share, so you don't waste time and money trying to find parking. Orsmby's is definitely a fun spot that you won't regret going to! I'll be back for sure.

    Attila the Hen
    Megha D.

Ormsbys has always been a staple Georgia Tech bar, but I recently checked it out for dinner with a friend back in town. Parkingwise, you can find street parking or park in one of the decks either for Westside Provisions or Interlock. Inside, I usually go downstairs where there's a great bar with games like pool, darts, and backgammon. This time, we sat ourselves upstairs. Our waitress was quick to serve us and was also helpful with letting us know about substitutions. I had the Attila the Hen with a side of sauteed mushrooms. My chicken sandwich was really delicious, juicy, and I loved the flavored mayo! The mushrooms were also delicious. Overall, Ormsbys is always a solid choice!!

The only positive part of the afternoon was being seated a few minutes before our reservation time. After that, everything went downhill. We waited approximately 10 minutes just to receive water, and then another 15 minutes before our server returned to take care of our table. Once we placed our order, the server had to return three separate times to verify what she had written down. We ordered two simple cocktails, yet one arrived as a shot instead of the drink ordered. We sent it back, only to watch the server bring the same drink back out and deliver it to the table behind us. After sitting there for roughly ten minutes, that family correctly informed the server it wasn't theirs. Rather than having a fresh drink prepared, the server simply picked it up, walked around the corner, and attempted to bring the exact same drink back to our table. At that point, we took the drink directly to the bar and requested that it be remade. The food itself was average at best. The mac and cheese was the only item that stood out in a positive way. Unfortunately, we weren't the only table experiencing problems. All three tables surrounding us appeared to be dealing with significant service issues of their own. A restaurant called "Southern Gentleman" should embody hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail. Our experience reflected none of those qualities. If you value your time, money, and family dining experience, I would strongly recommend choosing another restaurant in Buckhead. This establishment completely ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant Father's Day dinner.
