Can't go wrong with the Oilerie, while not inexpensive the quality, varieties of products and great tastes make it all worth it!

I used to really scratch my head about why anyone would go to a specialty shop for vinegar and oil.

I feel like I noticed a few new things available since my last time in store including the prize pick boxes. I didn't want to carry anything around so I will have to be back for that, I love variety. And already having bought 3 full size bottles in the past including the Tuscan herb (my favorite) it really makes cooking feel elevated and more like an experience and I'd love to get more creative! Definitely recommend trying the raspberry balsamic you'll be blown away! Seriously could be used as a healthy alternative to drizzle on ice cream without compromising on sweetness or flavor.

I commented to my husband that they allow service dogs. Again, no big. The sales lady overheard me and LOUDLY told me that dogs are there for problems that you can't see, and something about me being ignorant. That's not even what happened and I was so embarrassed. I mean my husband and I are huge animal supporters and this lady was crazy. I just paid for my stuff and left but two days later I'm still thinking about it and feeling g hurt.

I feel like I've been sleeping on this little gem!…read more I found this place in a roundabout way, and was in love the moment I walked in. They have created a warm inviting space, that has cute dishes for serving your snackuterie treats and cheeses, cases of cheeses you love and have never heard of, and all the sides to go with it. They have a fabulous collection of dry goods like chips, crackers, honeys, ect to pair with your cheeses. They also have a cooler of beverages to pair along with your favorites. They had a great selection of local brands, and national, with so, so many options. The owner was on site and was incredibly knowledgeable, and gave me some great recommendations. The smoked cheddar, truffled goat cheese and creama kasa cheeses are new favorites in our house! I will absolutely be going back to this stellar place.

The loveliest people who work there were happy to help you with selections or if you have any questions. They will also give you a sample of cheese if you haven't yet tried a particular kind. They have a wide array of meats and cheeses and crackers as well. There are boards and almost any kind of items you would need. They also have boards to order, and a cheese of the month club. Highly recommend The Charcuterie House for all your charcuterie needs. Downtown Waukesha is where it's located. Love the vibe they have created! Warm and cozy.

I sometimes buy their gift boxes for family because I want them to love Penzys spices too! Prices are reasonable and the quality is impeccable. The potency lasts much longer than any store brand or the famous red-capped spice company. Additionally, Penzys has many whole spices which last even longer as I can grind up only what I need. They also sell jars for storing spices, cookbooks, etc. I've been to other locations, but the 74th St location is my closest shop. I can't even remember when they moved in but it's always been well maintained and well stocked. Herbs and spices up front, baking goodies in the back. I love the little kitchen nook that baking items are displayed on, reminds me of my grandmas kitchen. They are staffed by friendly and helpful employees who love cooking and baking as much as everyone else. Don't hesitate to ask questions or for suggestions. Penzys also has sales a couple of times per year. Sometimes it's free items with a specific purchase amount, sometimes a discount.

The…read moremoment you walk in, you're greeted by the smell of spices, and it's hard not to spend a little extra time browsing. They have such a great selection that it almost feels like a candy store for anyone who loves to cook. The two ladies working were incredibly helpful and took the time to explain the differences between the two saffron varieties they carried. They had a Spanish saffron and a newer Afghan saffron that the owner had recently brought into the store. They described the Spanish saffron as having a sweeter, more floral flavor with a lighter aroma, while the Afghan saffron was bolder, earthier, and much more aromatic. I was specifically looking for saffron to make tea as part of my overall wellness routine, and after talking through what I was hoping for, we decided the Afghan saffron was the better fit. I've been really enjoying it. You only need about four to seven strands steeped in hot water, and it slowly turns the tea into a beautiful golden yellow color. The flavor is subtle and smooth without being overwhelming, making it a relaxing drink to sip in the evening. What stood out most wasn't just the quality of the products, but the customer service. They genuinely took the time to answer my questions, share their own opinions, and help me choose what fit my needs instead of simply pointing to me toward a shelf. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their spices. If you've never been to Penzeys before, it's absolutely worth stopping in. Even if you only need one ingredient, you'll probably leave with a few new ideas and a little more knowledge than when you walked in.

I love this place. After every visit I have to forego pasta anywhere else for weeks. Nowhere in town compares. Their treatment of wild mushrooms is masterful. My partner and I scored a two-spot at the bar on a Saturday to celebrate and we loved it, as always. The service was just as attentive and friendly at the bar as at a table. The atmosphere there is cozy and intimate and feels very European. Bonus - you get a great look at other diners' meals. I've had the tajarin with morels in the past, blessedly, and got one of the final orders available, maybe the last for the night. It's always a revelation in how amazing simple, high quality ingredients can make a meal. The amount of morels is generous as well. He ordered the rigatoni with pork and enjoyed it very much. We started with a cauliflower and broccoli dish that would make anyone a cruciferous vegetable aficionado. I had the always wonderful browned butter bourbon drink and a twist on a Manhattan for dessert. He had the house Affogato and really enjoyed it. This place is always worth the time and the money. It's among my favorites anywhere in the country that I've ever eaten.
