Having lived in the DMV for almost 15 years, it's great to have another option for kosher dining out in DC, besides Char Bar and Oh Mama Grill. I went on a weekday evening with some friends and the atmosphere and staff were great. Outstanding sushi and drinks. I spoke with Sam the manager and he was really nice and attentive. I have high hopes this place sticks around!

    Original roll. Huge.

I definitely recommend not visiting this establishment, if you can call it that. My father and I ate here today. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We sat at the bar. The bartender was verbally short with us. He never asked if we wanted anything to drink besides water. We had to ask. Fish sticks came and were mostly breading. My roll came and was so huge it just fell apart and I had to eat it ingredient by ingredient. Dad asked for a knife and it was dirty so he tried not to complain and cleaned it. I asked for another one and one for myself and the manger started with excuses about the dishwasher and how it leaves spots sometimes. I never got my knife. They didn't ask how anything was until we finished eating. I explained to the manager all the deficiencies, and he just said "I'm sorry". The bill came and they didn't offer to fix it or to fix it next time.

There are not many kosher restaurants, especially not kosher Asian restaurants. Eating the food here you can barely tell. It's kosher all the roads are done beautifully and it's delicious. I highly recommend.

Oro Nami has the best kosher sushi I've ever had (I gather it's flown in from Japan). Cute bohemian setting.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was great. If I lived in DC I'd be back often but was just here for a meeting

The waitress was great -- she helped with gluten free advice as was the bartender and I spoke with the general manager, Sam.

Umai Nori - Sashimi platter was a 10/10

The layout is interesting -- there's an upstairs when you walk in, but the sushi bar and a good bit of seating are downstairs. The menu is pretty straightforward with a mix of hand rolls, appetizers, specialty rolls, nigiri/sashimi, and traditional rolls. They also have a few solid combo deals, though I usually prefer trying a variety of items instead. Service was quick, which is always appreciated at a sushi spot. We ordered a few specialty rolls, two traditional rolls, and a couple orders of sashimi, all served together on one platter. The rolls were a great size -- filling without being overly large. The sashimi was fresh, and the traditional rolls really balanced out the meal nicely. The flounder and tuna sashimi were both excellent, and the California roll made with real crab was simple, fresh, and really satisfying. The total came out somewhere in the $70 range, so after tip and splitting it between two people, it was about $40 each to try multiple rolls and sashimi. Definitely fair pricing for the quality and amount of food. This spot had been on my list for a while, so I'm glad I finally made it over. I'd recommend checking out the menu beforehand so you can go in with a game plan and try the items that stand out most to you.

If you love old & new R&B this is the place to be on Thursday & Sunday nights. My only complaint is that the music is so loud it's hard to have a conversation or even place your order. We had to ask our waitress multiple times for limes, soy sauce and a to go box. I don't blame her for being overwhelmed since the music was so loud but there is room for improvement! Sebastian Roll: 10/10 fried crab roll was delicious. This is my new go to roll! Buenos Aires Roll: 7/10 nothing crazy. Reminded me of an elevated California roll with torched salmon on top. Vegetable Gyoza: 7/10 pan fried instead of boiled which I prefer! Kind of bland. Would be better with a different sauce or added protein. Calamari: 7/10 good but it did not stand out. Comes with both rings & tentacles. We don't like tentacles so we ate around them.

This place feels like it tried to be a hit in the 90s and failed. The sushi just isn't that good,…read morethe whole menu is white washed mid sushi at high prices. The ceviches and crudos and such are all fine, but they're not good. It makes it hard to want to enjoy them at all. Service is nice and friendly, but understaffed. Everything took incredibly long. Why are they understaffing this place?!? Especially at the prices. The cocktails are actually pretty good, though the wine list is uninteresting. It's a fine spot if you're looking for a quick meal in Georgetown, but it's not a destination spot by any means.
