Cesar is a true professional and provides quality work. He remodeled my kitchen and took care to keep things clean to minimize construction dust as much as possible. I will work with him on my next remodel project.

Cesar of Ortizlaw Construction did an exceptional job replacing all of our façade windows and rebuilt our stucco façade. We had several leaking windows. Cesar replaced them and our building stayed dry during this recent rainy season. Cesar is very thorough and concientious and he explains everything he is doing. It is too bad we did not find Ortizlaw Construction sooner. The front of our building is BEAUTIFUL!

Cesar managed the remodel of our bathroom taking it down to the studs and rebuilding from the ground up. He is very professional, holds himself the highest standards of craftsmanship, is a good problem solver, honest, trustworthy and finished our project on time. I recommend him highly!

EnviroTek exceeded my expectations in every way. A deck is a major expense and there are a lot of pieces involved -- design, materials, engineering, permits, inspections and construction. Before choosing EnviroTek, I got three bids. Some of the other proposals were extremely expensive, and it wasn't always clear who would actually be doing the work or how much would be subcontracted. EnviroTek was different from the beginning. Sammy, the proprietor, was straightforward, responsive, organized and very easy to work with. He never pressured me or tried to upsell me. His proposal was clear, his pricing was reasonable, and I always knew what I was paying for. There were no unpleasant surprises with the cost and Sammy was always upfront whenever a decision needed to be made. Sammy uses his own crew and has worked with them for years. They showed up every day, worked incredibly hard and clearly took pride in doing the job well. Even my neighbors commented on how impressed they were with them and how consistently they worked. My home is in an HOA, so I couldn't get too creative with the design and everything had to fit the existing architectural style. Even with those limitations, the finished decks and walkway came out beautifully and I am extremely happy with the result. The work was done cleanly and properly and we passed every inspection without any problems.  I was away for a good part of the construction, which could easily have made a project like this stressful, but it wasn't. Sammy kept me updated, regularly sent photos and let me know how things were progressing. I never had to chase anyone down or wonder what was going on. I felt completely comfortable having the work continue while I was away because I knew they cared about my house and were going to do things the right way. That is not something I take for granted with a contractor. Overall, EnviroTek went far beyond what I expected. They turned a stressful situation into a manageable and successful project. They were dependable, responsive, trustworthy and genuinely cared about getting things right and keeping the site clean during construction. I really cannot say enough good things about EnviroTek. This was one of the best referrals I have ever received, and I would recommend them without hesitation. If you are considering building or replacing a deck, I would absolutely call Sammy before making a decision. My only regret is that Sammy doesn't do every kind of construction and home repair, because I would happily hire him for everything in my house. Truly an outstanding company and an outstanding team. Five stars is not enough.

I don't even know where to begin. So I'll just start from the beginning…read more What I thought was going to be a partial deck repair turned into a full reconstruction. And look -- that could have gone sideways real fast. Like, real fast. It didn't. Thank God. Here's the thing about this crew -- and I mean every single person who showed up -- they were just genuinely friendly. Not "we want your money" friendly. Actually friendly. The kind where you don't mind them being at your house for weeks. And on top of being friendly, they actually knew what they were talking about. I asked a lot of questions. Probably too many. Nobody fumbled. Nobody gave me the blank stare. Nobody redirected me to someone else. Just straight, confident answers from people who clearly know their craft. That goes for the construction crew, the painters, and the membrane repair team. All of them. Damn consistent across the board. Now -- I'll be real with you. Their quote came in a little higher than some of the other estimates we were getting. And yeah, I side-eyed it a little at first. But here's the thing -- the other quotes were coming from general contractors. And with something like this, I didn't want a generalist. I wanted a team that actually specializes in this kind of work. And that's exactly what I got. So honestly, the higher quote made complete sense once I thought about it. You're not paying more for the same thing -- you're paying for people who actually know what the hell they're doing at a deeper level than your average contractor. And as the project grew from a partial repair into a full deck reconstruction -- which, by the way, nobody saw coming -- the cost didn't blow up the way you'd expect it to. It stayed fair. It stayed honest. Nobody tried to squeeze extra money out of a situation that was growing by the week. When you zoom out and look at the whole picture, it's a no-brainer. You get what you pay for. And I couldn't be happier. Sammy and John were on it the whole time. Responsive, communicative, never left me hanging. And even after the project wrapped up and I came back with follow-up questions -- because I definitely did -- they were still right there. Patient, thorough, zero attitude. I had a lot of anxiety going into something this big, and somehow between Sammy's leadership and John keeping everything moving in the right direction, that anxiety just kind of... dissolved. Which, if you know me, is not easy to do. These guys just get it. Oh, and they cleaned up after themselves. Every single damn day. No nails. No debris. No "that's not my problem" energy. They treated my home like it was their own. Like, genuinely. I didn't have to ask once. Special shoutout to Sammy for always being reachable, to John for keeping the whole operation from going off the rails, and to Fernando, Armando, and Salvadore for their hard work and dedication on the ground -- these guys showed up every day and just handled their business. And honestly, the entire construction crew, the painters, and the membrane repair team deserve a shoutout too. Every single one of them showed up like it mattered. Because it did. These are good people doing great work and it shows. Most importantly -- I finally feel safe enjoying the outside of my home again. And honestly? That's everything.

Our second-story elevated deck needed a major repair. When we spoke to a few other companies, they all said that we needed a full rebuild. But not Dan. He assessed the work carefully, examined the drawings, and said he could do the repair. He was fair and transparent with the cost and clear about the scope of work. When the job began, Dan and his team, Ksen and Chris, were thoughtful and efficient with their approach. They made lots of progress quickly, and explained each step in detail. Dan really went above and beyond helping me navigate the inspection process. We wanted to make a few changes from the original drawings that required a revision. [The following was edited to provide a play by play to show I acted in good faith and communicated my concerns _several times_ before giving up.] We scheduled work to start on a Friday. The job was for a straight railing of about 11 ft to replace our old railing that was rotted out. I asked that the new railing be installed into studs, because the previous railing mounts were loose and I didn't want the same thing to happen with the new railing. The contractors didn't show up until 4:30PM that day. I helped them plug in the welder and they got to work removing the old railing and then installing the new. Several times the welder blew our fuse so I reset it. The crew left that night without a word. The next day I went to check out the work. The new railing was installed in the same place as the old, not in studs, was rounded around the corner and covering our mailbox, and had been spray painted in place, getting black paint all over our beige exterior walls. Needless to say I was extremely surprised at the job and what had been done. It was almost comically bad. Just see the attached picture. I called Roman to voice my frustration. I mentioned I was unhappy with the obvious things but also that the railing had not been secured (a few tugs on the railing would likely pull it out) and that the end of the pipe (because that was what was installed as a railing, plumbing pipe) was not sealed, leaving an unfinished, unprofessional look. He agreed to come back, remove the curved railing blocking my mail slot, paint the wall, and that he would address my concerns. Again, the crew came by late in the day (sensing a trend here, I think they were maybe overbooked and coming from another job, but I speculate...). The wall was painted and the curved piece was cut. That was it. The welds were obvious, seams were visible where returns had been installed, the spray paint was already chipping. I called Roman. I made very clear my frustration with the apparent lack of quality, that it seemed there was a focus on getting things done quickly rather than well, and that my concerns and requests weren't being addressed. He said he would come back and address my concerns. I sent a text also describing these concerns. He cancelled the next scheduled visit. He called a while later but at this point I had moved on and wasn't willing to engage further. I had only agreed to pay half of the job up front, so I wanted to cut my losses and move on. This was supposed to be what I thought would be a simple steel railing installation. It turned out to be quite the opposite. On the plus side, I only agreed to pay half up front. So there's that.
