I've loved O's Donuts' farm‑stand at the Virginia Beach Farmers Market, so I finally visited their brick‑and‑mortar in Norfolk for SweetToothSaturday For Hampton Roads Passport Series .The shop is bright, clean, and Instagram‑cute, with two friendly team members who walked me through the summer specials. Tried: * SaltedCaramelBanana ColdBrew - plenty of cold foam, mellow roast; I expected a stronger coffee kick and a bigger banana punch, but it was still refreshing. * S'mores Cake Donut - cooked to order (yes, still warm!), chocolate‑frosted with nicely toasted marshmallow. Moist, rich, and not overly sweet. Pros: Fresh, made‑to‑order cake donuts; helpful staff; fun seasonal flavors. Cons: Not dog‑friendly--my Boston Terrier, Lexi, had to wait in the car. Overall, it's a tasty stop for donut lovers; just note you'll need to leave your pup at home or enjoy a car‑side taste test like we did! O's Donuts thank you for the invite. We had an Elite events and I took a couple of my coworkers - they really enjoyed the donuts and stated they would go back. I actually met the owner she prepared our donuts and they are made fresh to order. She was super nice and accommodating and gave us an extra coconut donut: the vibe was great - we walked in there was a customer raving about the donuts. If you love cake donuts fully dressed or plain you will love O donuts and they weren't too sweet!

The Mummy was the best tasted like a funnel cake! Boston Cream was solid, Granny's Apple was good, and Pumpkin Spice was a miss.

I stopped by O's Donuts in downtown Norfolk and tried a mix of their seasonal and classic options -- plus a specialty drink. Overall, a good experience, and I'd go back to try more flavors. I ordered the Vampire Kiss (a sparkly club soda, cherry syrup, lemon juice, and cherries). Not my favorite -- it tasted like lightly flavored water, which I think is how it's supposed to taste so if you like subtle fizzy drinks, you might enjoy it. Now for the donuts: * The Mummy (Seasonal) - My favorite! Vanilla icing, coconut, and candy eyes. You can't taste the coconut, but it's fun and tastes like a funnel cake -- sweet, soft, and nostalgic. * Boston Cream - A classic done right: soft, rich, and creamy. * Granny's Apple - Cinnamon-sugar donut topped with apple drizzle and a seasoned apple slice. Good flavor combo and great texture. * Pumpkin Spice - My least favorite. The flavor was a little off, maybe kind of an acquired taste. Wouldn't recommend this one. The shop itself is quiet and cozy with friendly staff. There's limited seating (a couple of tables inside and out), but it's more of a grab-and-go spot anyway. The details in the decor were also really fun. Overall, O's Donuts is worth the stop. Try The Mummy while it lasts and grab a Boston Cream -- you can't go wrong with those.

I ordered three freshly made donuts. They were delicious. The service was excellent. He waited for me to go over the menu without rushing me. The shop was clean and there are seats for you to enjoy your donuts.

Made to order donuts, with very creative combinations. Service is fast and friendly. Donuts were crisp, hot and the toppings were imaginative. We had the maple bacon (loads of bacon, good flavor maple glaze); holy cannoli (tasty cannoli cream), and the limited time raspberry truffle (raspberry topping was bright, tart - excellent). They have various coffee drinks - we had the sugar cookie latte - excellent.

This was my first trip here and I will DEFINITELY be coming back!! I got a half a dozen and three of the seasonal donuts and three of the regular donuts and they were delicious!! The person that took our order was so nice too and the inside of the store was adorable. I can't wait to go again soon!

Thank you victoria for this fabulous Yelp event. O's Donuts was the perfect start to my Thursday morning. Having grown up in the area over 65 years ago, the difference in the area was unbelievable. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined a Donut shop in the area but there it was. Ally and the rest of the crew were warm and welcoming. I chose the strawberry cream donut and the strawberry latte. The donut was super fresh and very good. I also enjoyed the hot strawberry latte which was perfectly made. The shop was very cute with a couple of round tables and chairs and a bench in the corner with throw pillows. I will definitely be going back.

This little donut shop is so cute but also delicious! I tried their cinnamon sugar donut along with a cold brew and both were really good. The donuts are made to order so you aren't eating something that's been sitting out but they were still really fast. There really isn't much seating inside for eating but there are some chairs for while you wait, so plan to take your donut and coffee to-go. I'll definitely be going back next time I'm craving a donut!

1/2 dozen donuts and the sugar cookie latte

Wednesday 8/14/2024 I got a takeout order of a six pack half dozen of granny's apple pie, cookies n cream, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, maple bacon, fruity pebbles, and blueberry cheesecake (+0.25) for a total of $13.25. (Side note: I wasn't able to eat the donuts at the freshest and warmest point but I was able to re-heat them later on and they were much better.) - the granny's apple pie is rolled in cinnamon sugar and topped with apple slices, I'd give it a 7.6/10. - The cookies n cream was really good and is tied for my favorite, I'd give it an 8/10. - The Cinnamon Toast Crunch was easily the worst of the flavors I had. The toppings (cereal) tasted very stale & dry and the donut wasn't very fresh compared to the others. - The maple bacon was really good and is also tied for my favorite, I'd give it an 8/10 as well. - The fruity pebbles was alright. - The blueberry cheesecake comes with a .25 upchare and it was pretty solid, I'd give it a 7.5/10 (right under granny's apple pie). My flavor rankings: 1a: maple bacon 1b: cookies n cream 3: granny's apple pie 4: blueberry cheesecake 5: fruity pebbles 6: Cinnamon Toast Crunch Overall, these were pretty decent mini cake donuts that I would recommend. The best flavors to get would be the maple bacon and cookies n cream as those were my clear favorites.

This is my first time coming to this doughnut shop. I would like to say the atmosphere is very cute, I like the seating area and the merchandise available. The costumer service was great and speedy. These doughnuts were on the pricey side, I hate to say it but for the price more effort should be put in for cleanliness and neatness and perhaps larger doughnuts. Taste wise the doughnuts themselves were fresh and soft, there's multiple flavors to choose from and you can get creative and build your own! As I did. ***hate to say it*** That pumpkin spice doughnut was NOT IT. I was expecting sweet pumpkin cream cheese frosting or even a pumpkin doughnut (since it was extra) it tasted like pumpkin from a can with cream cheese and I ordered 2 I was so disappointed. Also the cleanliness of the box could have been better. There was icing all over and around the box, very messy. And it wasn't busy...

Handmade and delish doughnuts! I've wanted to visit this local shop for a long time but haven't had the chance. I'm glad I finally stopped in! The made to order doughnuts take a while to compete, so add a few extra minutes into your morning schedule so you can make it to the office on time. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch doughnut, the PB and J, and the everything bagel doughnut were awesome!

First of all can I just say WOW!…read more We were excited at the first because we thought the Neat Bird from Chesapeake had a new location in Norfolk Colley Avenue but there chicken sandwich was even delicious here too with a different owner! We met the owner, he is a cool band guy with a mustache name Dand. The drinks he made for us were so good and so was the way he talked with his staff and the way they worked together. My parner and I had seen that they pride themselfes on Scottish eggs, which we were lucky to try and it was also very delicious! We like that they have the vibe and also a board with many events of the community on the wall to check out while you sip on a delicious expresso martini. Good job to the Bird! now dont go opening another restaurant in Chesapeake or we will all be very confused!

You order at the register, and the staff brings the food out to your table. Everyone was attentive, and we had no issues with the service. We ordered the waffle plate, which came topped with fruit alongside eggs and their house sausage. We also tried the Huevos Rancheros, the Sausage Egg & Cheese sandwich, and a build-your-own omelette. For drinks, we ordered the brown sugar cold brew, dulce de leche cold brew, drip coffee, and an espresso martini. The waffle was huge, and the sides were great. My only complaint was that it could have used more fruit, as there were only a few small pieces. The Huevos Rancheros were delicious and came with a generous serving of avocado. The only thing that caught us off guard was the lack of salsa, since in traditional Huevos Rancheros the salsa is a key component. Even so, the dish was still flavorful and filling. The omelette was excellent, and the breakfast sandwich was equally delicious. I was especially impressed by the house-made jam, house-made hot sauce, and the perfectly seasoned home fries. As for the drinks, the brown sugar cold brew was excellent, but the dulce de leche version was far too sweet for my taste. From what I understood, they use two flavored syrups to make it, and I think using smaller portions of each would create a better balance. We ended up adding oat milk and some drip coffee to tone it down. The drip coffee itself was solid and came with free refills. The espresso martini really tied brunch together for me -- strong, well-made, and delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed both the food and the experience, and we'll definitely be back.

We made a special trip to Rustic Spoon for my husband's birthday because their website listed…read morescotch eggs, which was something he'd been craving forever and that we hadn't been able to find anywhere around town. It happened to be Restaurant Week, which made us a little nervous, but it ended up being totally fine. The dining room never felt overly crowded, the noise level was comfortable, and having the Restaurant Week prix fixe, drink specials, and regular menu all available gave us plenty of options without feeling overwhelming. One small note: the plastic logo cups served with the water decanter felt a little out of place. They were a bit sharp on the lips and didn't quite match the rest of the dining experience. Minor detail, but noticeable. The drinks, however, were excellent. On our server's recommendation, my husband ordered the Gingerbread Old Fashioned and I had the Salted Caramel Martini. Both were seasonal specials and both were fantastic. When we asked about the scotch eggs, our server explained they're normally a brunch-only item. We were a little disappointed (and may have made a few pouty faces while explaining we'd come specifically for them for his birthday), but we quickly let it go, it obviously wasn't her fault. What we didn't realize was that she went back and told the kitchen manager that it was his birthday and that we'd made the trip just for those scotch eggs. Since the kitchen wasn't slammed, they decided to make them anyway and surprised us with an order. We were honestly floored. My husband was thrilled. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. And the scotch eggs were exactly what he'd been hoping for! They were crispy on the outside with a rich, savory center. For entrées, his Nashville Hot Chicken was juicy with the perfect amount of heat without being overwhelming. My Haystack Burger was stacked and delicious, though the BBQ sauce was strong enough to overshadow the pickled green tomato a bit. The fries were fantastic - crispy, battered, and perfect from first bite to last. Our server checked in at all the right times and kept drinks refilled without us needing to ask. The fact that she went out of her way to do something special during one of the busiest weeks on a restaurant's calendar says a lot about both her and the restaurant. Rustic Spoon is the kind of place that works just as well for a casual date night as it does for a birthday dinner or a night out with friends.

I was taken care of by the chef and she was very helpful with the menu. They have so many appetizing options on their mostly healthy, all fresh menu. I love soup, so I love that they offer several each day, with some standards, plus a soup of the day, which on the day I visited was cream of potato. Where I sat at the counter, I could watch them making all the food and I was impressed to see that they don't just ladle soup into a bowl to serve it, they actually cook and prepare, then dress it to plate it perfectly. Their cream of potato was really good and not the traditionally made where the potato is pureed into the soup - rather they make a creamy soup base and then add potatoes to it. The combo of the soup, a small piece of potato, scallion, and a small piece of bacon really made for a great spoonful in each spoonful I enjoyed!! My coworker got their Asian Chicken Noodle and that looked amazing! He said it was incredible. Next up was the entrée and we both got their lamb gyro.... It's not the traditional gyro, it's an openfaced style, just like their chicken salad toast. It was really good! The tzatziki was great on it! And we also got a side of their cucumber feta salad... this tasted fresh and the feta was vibrant, with the combo of the cucumber and feta together being incredibly tasty. Overall, another very nice visit to a Stockpot restaurant... Looks like I need to try their Chesapeake location to get the trifecta of Stockpot! Highly recommend stopping in!

The staff were genuinely friendly--not in a scripted way, but the kind that makes you feel welcome right away. It was a little chilly tonight, but I imagine the outdoor seating would be perfect on a warmer evening. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily we were seated within seconds. The space itself is on the smaller side, but it's thoughtfully designed and perfect for a cozy date night. Every employee who passed by greeted us, which made the atmosphere feel especially welcoming. We started with the octopus, served with potato foam, pickled pear, and chorizo. For entrées, he ordered the duck and I had the pork bolognese. Both dishes were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We also ordered drinks. I do wish they had come out a bit earlier so we could enjoy them sooner, but the selection was impressive. We chose the bartender's choice, which was a really fun experience. The waitress asks a few questions, and based on your answers the bartender creates a drink they think you'll love. We were too full for dessert, though they did offer four different options. Overall, we were really happy we tried this restaurant and will definitely be back.

The octopus was probably my favorite--really tender and full of flavor. I had the salmon for my main and it was cooked perfectly and everything on the plate worked well together. Service was great without being over the top. Overall just a really solid dinner spot in Norfolk, would definitely go back

Lovely people watching, yet it's not so loud that table conversation of challenging. You'll notice that this is quick-ish dining. It's not fast-casual, but you're not waiting 30 minutes for your food. Expect at least 10 minutes for appetizers to arrive. Our entrees were ready in about 20, and the place was near capacity. The great thing about the wait? It was well worth it. Piping hot food, served with that homemade flavor arrives on dishes that almost match. I chuckled at the mismatched bowls that hit our table. I felt like family before my first bite. Meatloaf! I can't make one, but I'll eat one that is well made. Dense, flavorful and portioned to take some with you. My bonus was that I got my wife's leftovers, too. It was delicious! It was even better when I warmed it for lunch the next day. Traditional sides, worthy of their own review, but I'll keep it brief. Get the mashed potatoes! Send a thanks when you're full.

FANTASTIC! Vibes? Yes!…read moreFood? Yes! Wine? Yes! Thank you to John who welcomed us and recommended good wine for our food We came here with our son, who recently moved to Norfolk. He came here for his first meal in town and John treated him to a glass of wine with his gourmet grilled cheese He brought us to the experience : Brussels sprouts -- delicious with sweet and spicy and hazelnut Goat cheese and beet salad: good dressing, nice mix, exactly what I wanted for dinner Truffle tots: yeah, tots are good, but with truffle and Parmesan? Wow!! The vibes here are great. There's music on but you can still talk to people. Seating at the bar or tables or, if the weather is nice, on the front porch. It has an elegant but relaxed feel that would make this place great for a date or friends ( or family!) We will be back And yep, we are back for tapas Tuesday where all small plates are $2 off Hummus -- ok Duck egg rolls good Lamb meatballs : GREAT flavor!! Roasted Carrot beet with labneh and dukkah : delicious Dumplings-- good but spicy for me Miso butter gnocchi with mushrooms-- delicious Roasted salmon-- folks were split on this between "solid" and good Salad of farro and spinach with beets and goat cheese and pear -- this was amazing. The dressing had awesome spices in it that made the whole thing complex. 3 new wonderful wines ! Thanks to all at this restaurant for another amazing meal. You are our favorite Norfolk spot!!
