The stylists are great, but I will no longer be coming here because of the booking staff. When I checked out Sabrina was rude I have talked to her in the past charged me an extra 15.00 didnt tell me they were going to charge extra I had a couple of tangles the stylist said she didnt mind combing out.sabrina said they had to push out appointments which is a lie my appointment was at 830 in the morning. Paul is an excellent stylist who specializes in precision cuts. I have very fine blond hair and wear a short pixie-pageboy. This is one of the most difficult haircuts, especially with fine hair but Paul does a marvelous job and it always looks great. I don't color but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to work with Paul. I wish I can give OS2 10 stars I was so happy with their service. I actually had my hair tinted too and a trim. Wow this was the best experience of my life getting my hair done. The blow out look fantastic the botanical complementary was the best and a head message wow. Mind mind was blown away. I was so relaxed my stress was gone. At the end of the Yelp elite event I got a bad with products for my hair. I will drop the other places where I used to go to be a regular customer here so close to home. Absolutely wonderful experience here - from the moment I walked in, throughout my time with Meghan and through the check-out. Salon is located in downtown Geneva (sidenote - I've been told the downtown is cute but it's like super cccuuuutttteee) on a tree-lined street close to street parking. Upon entering - you are greeted with kindness and warmth, the same way they will treat your hair. The shop is airy, there are some cool crystal chandeliers, and stations are spaced out so you feel like you have ample room to move, should you wanna do a dance of joy after getting your hair done. I met with Meghan, the stylist who worked on my hair. She was INCREDIBLE. Like absolutely Ah-mazzinggg! Before beginning, she asked a few questions and was very helpful in what I should do going forward. I like to swim a couple times a week - and she confirmed the services I receive would heal some of my hair and recommended I do a botanical or clarifying treatment every couple of months. Meghan was so patient with my questions and took time to give me thorough, helpful answers. This is what I need in a stylist. Gah. She has won me over. Anywho - after my question time, she began the treatment which consisted of washing my hair, massaging my scalp, putting the treatment in and put warm towels over my hair to let the treatment sink in. OH MY GOODNESS. Pure Pleasure. Finally - before I left, she styled my hair. It looked SOOOO good. In fact, I will be using the picture I took as my new Yelp profile pic ;0 the proof is in the pudding as they say. Throughout the experience, Meghan kept up conversation and the time went super fast. She also seems really intuitive on conversation - so if you're someone who prefers to have your hair done in silence, seems like she would be good at picking up on that. At check-out, I ended up also purchasing some products for my good ol hair. They have a huge selection of items and I got a refresher spray (something I've never seen before). Pricing seems on par with surrounding area pricing, blow-out is typically $30 (although this may depend on hair length, I didn't ask, but I have shoulder length hair), botanical treatment - $20 and then products range in price. Honestly, the whole experience was great, I moved to Naperville last summer and love knowing there is a salon that I thoroughly enjoyed nearby. Everyone from check-in/out, Meghan, the salon ambiance, the location was great. I am definitely going to have to pass this experience on to all my new neighbors and friends. read more

Came here for a Yelp event and my stylist was a sweetheart. I went in thinking that it would take a long time to curl my hair because its so long and thick, but she amazed me and did a great job. While she was doing my hair she gave me tips and tricks that would be useful for my hair. I think it took around 25 minutes for my hair to be done. The products she used also complimented my hair by making it shiney and soft without making it all clumpy and stuck together. This salon is quite for away from me but if you are in the area, definitely check this place out. They also do bridal hair and makeup as well. read more

My daughter received the worst haircut ever, not blended - uneven - gave bangs. We called the salon and was told that the fix would be free if we scheduled with the same girl. Not acceptable because she did such a horrible job. I sent pictures of the bad job to the manager and was told someone could see my daughter that afternoon. The new stylist couldn't believe how bad it was - said it would take several trims to get it back. However, we were still charged $45 for another full haircut. The salon should have stood behind the bad haircut and done everything they could to make it right. The manager never even acknowledged us or apologized. Do not go to this salon. I've been coloring my hair for 15+ years never had an issue. Arianna did my hair and I was so unhappy with the color. It was literally the opposite of what I wanted. I showed photos and we discussed color in great depth. Somehow ended up darker when I wanted it lighter? Went back to have her fix it and she told me there was nothing she could do. She could only make it EVEN DARKER...finally asked for a refund and was told no. I paid $235 and now I will have to spend even more at another salon getting it fixed :( read more

OS2 is more than a Salon. You feel like you are part of a very welcoming family when you are here. I had the honor of getting my hair cut by Allison (one of the owners) and she blew past my expectations. Let me tell you why. I have been wanting to donate my hair for a very long time and for the past few years each time I got close, I just couldn't do it. You can really form an attachment to your hair so changing it drastically can get a bit emotional. I've had long hair my entire life so I guess I just couldn't let go. Something just hit one day and I made an appointment with Allison for THE cut. As soon as I came into the salon I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist and a glass of water and smile from Allison. Once she was ready for me I discussed what exactly I wanted and showed her some pictures. I asked for her advice on how to properly cut my hair to donate it and she knew exactly want to do. She was unbelievably comforting during the entire process and I really appreciated it! She sectioned my hair into two braids because my hair is thick. This way, when she cut the braid(s) it was cut more evenly rather than just one really thick braid. 13 whole inches we took off and WOW did it feel amazing. I chose Wigs for Kids to donate to because I really like their mission. Allison gave me a bag to put my braids neatly in for me to bring home. It was insane holding them physically in my hands. She washed my hair and gave me an amazing hand massage. She finished the cut and styled it with some loose curls, exactly how I pictured it. I felt light as a feather leaving the salon. I really enjoyed my entire experience here and I strongly recommend this salon. I couldn't imagine having anyone else do this with me! Absolute disaster. Had my hair completely botched - both dye and cut by Silvena at OS2. I wanted my dark brown hair lightened with the intent of becoming blonde eventually and was told over the phone that was not possible, so I was talked into highlights. Yes - I know keeping the appointment at that point was probably a mistake on my part but I'm young and I'm shy and the website said that cancelling less than 24 hours in advance (when she called to tell me she couldn't lighten me) was going to cost me! I asked for a dirty blonde, and the top turned out platinum. I walked out and looked in a mirror and was mortified by highlights that made me look like I was prematurely graying. At 21. I needed to get it fixed immediately because I was going back to school in two days. After not feeling very comfortable during the cut and color itself (let alone the outcome), I made an emergency appointment the next day with a family friend. I was not about to go back to school with my hair looking like it did - I was too embarrassed to go outside. The friend-stylist looked closer and found spots where the foils might have slipped and made my hair orange along with a myriad of other colors. She noticed the cut (meant to be a trim) was also botched as seen in the pictures. Silvena said nothing to me during the services about any mistakes. She cut and dried my hair AFTER dying it. There is no way she didn't see the blotches. She had cut off multiple inches off of my long hair and I had to have another inch or more cut off for it to be fixed. I wanted to give the salon a chance to make this right before I wrote this review, so we tried to get my $200 for the botched services back. Not the tip, though - I'm not a monster! After days of back and forth communication, the salon and stylist have alluded that I am lying (said through email and also over phone communication) and that this is the work of someone else since I did not come back in to get it fixed. They refuse to refund me and have instead offered that the stylist give me a free cut and gloss, as if I would ever step foot in here again. I am especially upset because I spent extra money to get it fixed. I am also completely unable to do anything with my hair that I wanted to do until the bleached parts grow out. Unless, of course, I want to burn my hair off :-) I expected so much more from such a well-known salon. Notice there is another review along the same lines as mine from about a year ago! My only hope for this review is to save someone else from getting their hair ruined like I did and to make sure people know what they are getting into. read more

Not a great experience coming from a loyal customer. Had a full balayage and haircut. The balayage is not even visible... costing me nearly $300! You really cannot see any highlights... my hair looked better when I walked in! My shampoo and rinse was also very painful. I was literally wincing! The stylist felt bad about the end results and offered to fix it, but i am too nervous for that. Also did a terrible job blow drying my hair... it was a frizzy mess. My normal stylist left and I tried to stay here and try a new person, but I'll be going elsewhere for my hair needs. Bummer. read more
