I have gone to this restaurant since it opened. Always had a great meal until July 11. The place has totally changed. They no longer bring out the fried wan tans with sauce. The food was horrible! I had the hibachi scallops and shrimp. There were so few of each they were hard to find with all the rice. The scallops were hockey pucks. Burnt to a crisp. I sadly have not had this bad of food in a long time. The waiter was okay but there was only 2 other tables and he did the bare minimum but was respectable and polite. The bubble tea was warm when it came out with ice thrown in it, super watered down. The rice had odd spices on it. The steak hibachi tasted like the meat was either low quality or just about to go bad. The edamame was lukewarm. My husband and I were only eating the small pieces of meat in hopes to not get an uncooked piece. Thank goodness we didn't get sushi, I truly am surprised that it is in business this long if it's always like it was tonight. Had a groupon code that expires in August. I called to do an order for pick up and was told they will not accept it. They do not honor groupons. To add more to this, last time we had them, the food quality has changed for the worse. read more

Absolutely delicious! A taste I've never had before. Probably the best restaurant in town.

We got a large takeout order to have a little home buffet. We had Beef Pepper Steak, Beef with Garlic Sauce, Caahew Chicken, Orange chicken, Seaame Chicken, General Tsos and Beef Lomaiin. All the stir fry's tasted the same and seemed to use the same exact sauce, it was like we found out what brown tastes like. The three fried meals all tasted the same as each other as well. The lomain was so greasy that no one liked it. We spent $200 and were very disappointed. The serving sizes are small compared to Ocean Fragon down the road and the flavor doesn't even begin to compete. It was very bland and American tasting. Food was okay. I got chicken lo mein and it was too salty. The miso soup didn't have any tofu in it.

This is the best sushi and Japanese restaurant in the area. The staff is incredibly nice. The menu is great. I highly recommend the sushi it has tremendous flavor without being fishy. For hot food, I would highly recommend the orange chicken and general tsos. A neat dynamic of this restaurant is how their menus has expanded the longer they have been open. They aren't trying to do too much and haven't dropped the quality of their meals. Have not had a bad lunch or dinner yet. read more

We're so happy we stopped by Osaka! Everything we ordered was amazing & their service was excellent! The restaurant itself is relaxing and calm, we loved all of the natural light coming in. I ordered the chicken teriyaki hibachi dinner, my husband had gotten their steak hibachi for his. We also ordered a California roll and Crab Rangoons. Everything tasted so fresh, my chicken literally melted in my mouth! I wasn't personally crazy about the sweet carrots; but I'm more of a spicy & savory food person. They still tasted great according to my husband. Overall, we can't wait to go back or order takeout!! read more

We ordered take out and had it delivered via door dash. It was a large order with 3 kids meals, 3 sushi dinners, an order of crab Rangoon, and a side order of sushi. When the order arrived, we opened it up and one of our sushi dinners was missing. I called the restaurant and the person I spoke to said to come down and they could give us the missing dinner. My husband drove down to the restaurant and when he arrived the owner refused to give him anything and also refused to refund him. He claimed that he had given us everything and said he had to go home and get all the food and bring it back to "prove" we were missing an order. He obviously was not willing to entertain such a ridiculous request as my 3 children had already started eating their dinners. I then called and spoke to the owner who said he had labeled all 3 dinners by writing the name on the top. I reiterated that we had 2 of them but not the 3rd. I said I know we didn't get it because we also got only 2 side salads and no soup, which was listed on our receipt with the missing dinner. He said I had to bring it there so he could show me. I asked how he could show me non-existent soup and then he hung up on me. It's unbelievable to me that the owner of a business would behave like this. It's quite possible that the door dash driver didn't give us a dinner, however when I called and spoke to an employee at Osaka, he told us to drive there and pick up our missing dinner. We went to the trouble to do that and the employee that we spoke to tried to give my husband the food and the owner refused to allow it. It's unfathomable that a business owner would treat a paying customer so poorly. Long story short we will NEVER support this business again! read more

Not bad. This very casual restaurant cooks hibachi style, but they do not cook at the table in case y'all wanted to know. They communicate well and are very friendly. We were served an amuse bouche of fried wonton and duck sauce upon being seated. All hibachi meals come with a small, simple iceberg salad, a side of glazed carrots and fried rice. I wasn't a fan of the fried rice, the carrots appeared to be canned although they tasted very good. I got scallops and my guest got salmon. My scallops were a little overcooked, but the salmon was spot on. There is room for improvement and I hope they will take heed. Canned carrots just shouldn't be on the plate... read more

We have been to this restaurant several times (5) and find that the food and sushi is excellent. We have tried different menu items each time we go and have never been disappointed ... the food is fresh and nicely prepared. The owner, Kay, is very plesant and can also whip up a delectable plate of sushi. The staff are polite and helpful. We have been there for lunch and dinner. The filet mignon is delicious as is the hibachi steak. The soups are tasty and hot. Highly recommend this restaurant and hope that they are around for a long time ... a nice change from american-style food. And, they are a BYOB .. without a cork charge! read more

This was our first visit to Osaka. We were very impressed. The food was excellent as was the service. I ordered the General Tso's chicken and it was probably the best I have ever had. My husband ordered the Steak and Lobster hibachi and he said it was out of this world delicious. The restaurant is not overwhelming, very tasteful decor and relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We will be visiting again to eat very soon. read more

Osaka was a very pleasant experience. Service was outstanding and very attentive. The menu was extensive with so much variety to choose from. Gen Tso's (white meat) chicken was superb as was the Hibachi chicken. Their Yum Yum sauce was excellent (yummy). Great California roll. The ambiance was somewhat too bright for us, would have been nicer with the lights a little dimmer. Definitely will return. read more

I went there 5/17/2024, 7pm. Ordered the Hibachi Filet Mignon. My husband ordered the Hibachi Steak and Shrimp. We left at 8:01pm (yes, I am staring at my receipt!), and went to a movie. I had a rumbling stomach that night, but didn't think much of it. Fast forward to 3:00am. The food poisoning came in full force. I was puking up the meal, while on the toilet simultaneously for HOURS, never been so sick in my LIFE. I was on the toilet for HOURS with violent diarrhea while puking into a can. Finally I found my way to bed, only to get up numerous time through the rest of the night and into the day. Being very upset I spent $68.53 for a meal that practically killed me, I called the restaurant the following day at 1pm. I spoke to Kay, who said she was the restaurant owner. I explained the situation. She told me that nothing could be done, and, until 3 people called in sick reporting the same thing, she could do absolutely nothing to help me. I told her that I was just very upset to try a new restaurant that we found BASED ON YELP REVIEWS, only to be very disappointed. I told her I would be leaving my own review, stating this exact conversation, because I helped her business by following a Yelp review, so it is only fair I post my experience for others. She said she was doing all she could to help me...which was nothing, but kept saying she was "doing all she could" to help me. Then she changed her tune and said and that I should go see a doctor, bring the paperwork in, then she would make me a free meal. I DO NOT WANT A FREE MEAL!!! I wanted my prior meal comp'ed because I got so sick from it, and I told her that. She said there was nothing she could do, as the owner of the company. I told her that was okay, but since I got sick, and I offered to do the right thing by coming to her first to see what could be done, I was now going to Yelp to leave my own review, since I used Yelp to find the place. I also told her I will be calling the Health Department on Monday. She then changed her tune again, telling me to come up and bring my receipt in and she will see what can be done. I told her I have a photo of the receipt on my phone and I could send it to her, as I am not going back there, let alone to eat. At this point we were talking in circles and she was repeating herself, so I told her I had to go, and that she should look for my review within the hour. I reminded her I was calling the Health Department on Monday. I told her to call me back if she decides to comp my meal, but other than that I did not want to hear from her, and hung up. She called me back and said I sounded very angry. I told her I was very angry, and that unless she was comp'ing my meal, I was done with the conversation. She asked me again to come back so she could see my receipt and make me a "good meal." I said "No thank you, I thought a Filet Mignon WAS ALREADY a good meal, and I can't afford to die again. Also, I can send you a copy of my receipt as I have a photo on my phone." She asked me once again to come up, and at that point I said I had to go, I'm busy with the toilet. I told her to look for my review and look forward to the Health Department call on Monday. On Wednesday, 5/22/24, I called to ask if my refund was being processed. Whoever answered told me "Kay fired, she no longer here." I asked to speak to the person who took her place. I was told "You stop calling here, we no help you!" and they slammed the phone down. I called back, and they immediately saw my number and hung the phone up. This happened 2 more times in a row. I waited an hour and called back and asked for the manager, and was told "You call again, we get police involved!!" I told them "Yes, please, let's!! I was promised a refund and now you are refusing to even talk to me. They slammed the phone down on me. I called back, and they immediately put me on a 30-minute hold and shut their phone system down!!! Later the same night, my husband called after work from his phone, and he asked for the manager. They asked why, and he told them it was a food poisoning issue from last week. They immediately told him "Manager not here now, call back later." They hung up on him. He called back and asked when the manager would be back in. They said "No. No manager here. We don't know when they be back." So, we were promised a refund and they won't honor their promise, and got very unprofessional with us. I am currently disputing the charge with my bank. It's not so much about the money at this point, it's about how this company is handling this situation. I would think twice before supporting this restaurant, as they were very rude, did not want to rectify the issue, and only care about profits. read more
