We've been going for many years. And they are always consistently good. This last time I went with my family of 4, and I got, for the first time, the steak and lobster tail dinner. It was out of this world delicious. You have to treat yourself next time. My family got a bunch of sushi and rolls and they all loved it as well. I totally forgot to take pictures of all the food, because we were having such a wonderful time. But trust me, it was yummy.

Someone's got a dirty mind lol...oh, it's just me then. Okay...

Really great experience coming here for the first time when we were camping nearby on LI. The restaurant was clean and separated between hibachi tables and sushi booths. We came just for sushi, but seemed like folks were having a great time at the hibachi tables. Presentation on our sushi platter of rolls was quite beautiful, and the service was on the ball and nice too. Expensive meal, but LI is one of the most expensive so no surprises there. Wish we had quality fish like this in NC, but alas...

For our family dinner, we ordered a platter of assorted sushi rolls and were delighted with the outcome. The sushi was exceptionally fresh, the presentation visually appealing, and our order was ready for pickup at the designated time! Thank you Osaka :)

Naruto and shrimp tempura roll

I've eaten here 2x for lunch. Each time was an okay experience. The food was good, but the service was lacking a bit. On one of the lunches, I ordered: - Naruto Roll - tuna, salmon, crab stick and avocado, wrapped in cucumber with ponzu sauce - shrimp tempura roll - shrimp tempura with avocado and cucumber These came out pretty well. But it was the server. I asked for spicy mayo and my friends asked for some sauces, but it took the server a really long time. We were all halfway done with our meals when we had to ask again. The second time I came, I ended up ordering chicken teriyaki. But I asked the server what the difference was between the Bento box and the lunch special. It was a legit question as I was just trying to verify since there was a huge difference in price. Her response, "the lunch is lunch and bento is bento." LIKE WTF. She looked at me like I was stupid. I did not like that at all. I was very polite the entire time. Even if it was a stupid question, I didn't need an attitude. I'll do her job and tell you the difference: The Lunch bento box is during the hours of 11a - 3p except Sunday. The Bento box is for any other time and is double the price. So be careful not to order the regular bento box if you're there from 11a-3p. For lunch chicken teriyaki it's $10, for bento outside of lunch hours is $21. Ambiance is quiet during lunch hours. Both times I've been there, there were 2-3 other tables occupied. Good food, but one of the servers has an attitude problem.

Kid's hibachi

I came here during a visit to my MIL. We brought my Little with us to have lunch. They're a sushi and hibachi restaurant and I ordered a kids hibachi lunch for my kiddo. It came with choice of protein, veggies and lomein. She used her training chopsticks and enjoyed her meal. The MIL did the same, ordering a hibachi lunch special and getting an extra California roll I ordered some spring rolls for the table and was happy that they cut them in half which made it much easier for sharing. I also ordered tuna tataki for the table and ended up being the only one eating it. It was really good. Very fresh. I order a maki lunch special with a salmon skin hand roll, Alaska roll and shrimp tempura roll. Everything was great. The service was good and the staff was very friendly. Because we visited during poor weather on a weekday, they were pretty empty, save for one lady that was having a loud conversation on her phone. I was a little annoyed that we were seated right next to her when their dining room was empty but we made due. I would definitely go back.

I've been coming to Osaka for years and it never disappoints. I'm not from NY but whenever I come to visit my family i always look forward to getting sushi here! They have amazing options and they're always fresh. The service is great and the atmosphere in the restaurant is so fun.

By far, the best sushi restaurant in Suffolk. I've been to over a hundred sushi restaurants in my 50 years. This one not only has great quality fish but the staff is incredibly friendly. I've been coming here for the past 5 years at least twice a week and became very friendly with the chef Henry and my favorite Hanna.. I just hope the owner is paying both of them well as with all the staff. My man, Henry, is a top-notch chef, and in my book, if I was able to, I'd give him a Michelin star for the incredible sushi creations he can come up with. Oh, I forgot to mention he is only 28. A rising star in this industry. Just look at some of his techniques when I ask if he could make me something special that is not on the menu. Pictures follow. Thank you, Okasa, for holding onto them. I've been going to this place for years with my parents and the food is always on point! The servers and all of the staff are very warm and welcoming. Service is quick and efficient! All of their food, whether is hibachi or the wide variety of sushi rolls they make is always fresh snd sooo tasty. They have daily special rolls as well! The ambiance inside is cozy and they always play nice music. Next time I visit my parents I am definitely coming back here again!

Really good. It is very small, but the prices and the food are amazing. Service is ok.

Service was good, very attentive and accomodating! I ordered a Coconut Shrimp appetizer that came with a sweet dipping sauce. The shrimp was delicious and the sauce was absolutely amazing! I ordered extra sauce even though they give you enough to start, because it was that good!! My main dish was Pad Thai with Chicken! It was ok but spicy. I've had Pad Thai before and it is never spicy so I didn't think to mention I like mild spice when I placed my order. I didn't return it, it wasn't their fault but I just couldn't get past the spice. I'm going back to order the same dish but mild, I'm sure it will be delicious then! I want to give them the extra star, I know it will be well deserved!

Menu is typical for this style restaurant. Kids always go for sushi. They don't even need a menu. Just like sushi pros. I like to mix it up a bit trying different things. It's always lunch so the choices are standard. I lean towards the chicken teriyaki and sometimes beef Neganaki. Both favorites for me. Will we be back? Well those little boobas have me wraparound their fingers so whatever they want I will give them. I'll probably go without them too.

I went there during Happy Hour and ordered a lychee martini with extra lychee nuts. It came out strong because of the extra shot of vodka that I requested. The atmosphere is cozy casual, making it the perfect place to go to with family and friends or on date night. The decor was beautiful; I really liked the consistent use of their logo, proudly illuminated at all the tables, which gave the space a sophisticated appearance. Even the menus were nicely done. I found myself gazing at the pictures instead of picking out my meal. To start we ordered the Japanese Clear Soup and the King's Treasure Roll. Both starters were delicious. The soup was served hot, lightly seasoned, and it really felt like comfort in a bowl. The treasure roll was good; we just had a hard time trying to pick it up with the chopsticks, as it was very slippery. With a little patience, we managed to get it. For beverages, we went with the Blueberry Lemonade and Virgin Mojito. Although both were decent, they were a little underwhelming and could've used more flavor. Next time, I might just order the Pineapple or Mango Virgin Mojito to see if it's any better. Our Entrees were great. My husband ordered the Spicy Crabmeat Crusted Filet Mignon, and he demolished it. I chose to go with two specialty rolls, The American Dream Roll and Rock N Roll, both fantastic. For dessert, we chose the Matcha Cheesecake and the 3 Flavor Tempura Ice Cream (vanilla, chocolate, and green tea). The cheesecake itself didn't have a strong Matcha taste, but that matcha ice cream was all the way IT! I could've had a bowl of that and been very satisfied. Really, their ice cream game is solid, so good! Lastly, our server Nicole was the cherry on top. She was so welcoming and attentive, offering suggestions, and providing descriptions of the menu items, she never made us feel bad for asking "What's That". All in all, we had an awesome experience at Takumi and look forward to visiting again.

We had an excellent lunch at Takkii Ramen!…read more We were NOT a fan of the ordering system which consisted of us choosing what we wanted on an Ipad, rather than placing our order with a server at our table. When we needed to omit our order to leave a couple items off the ramen, we had to go to the counter so they could edit it (edits are not available on the iPad). This was a very cold ambiance to what could be a more welcoming start to a visit. We ordered appetizers of vegetable gyoza and takoyaki, and a couple pork ramen soups. The food was absolutely delicious and they got our orders correct. I just felt like we didn't get to know our server since we didn't get to directly place our order with them, and they weren't too attentive throughout the visit. We would definitely return for their wonderful food, but I hope that by the time we come back, they have regular table service!

Who wants warm cake? I don't even know why anybody would think that's acceptable. The teriyaki chicken over rice was proably the best out of all the items ordered. The ramens were very subpar. I wouldn't return.

I have also never been to a sake bar. Have to say....I was underwhelmed. We came in last Friday and apparently it was slow because Yale was off (according to our waiter). If a restaurant is good they should not be slow on a Friday night. We sat by the door on a cold night and there were two other couples practically on top of us. Rest of the seating are high tops against a wall by the bar or up the stairs on another level. We would have liked to sit upstairs but they were closing off that area. Menu was complex as the restaurant is authentic Japanese. Lots of beef options. Lots of Wagyu. I was hoping to be blown away by this restaurant trying something different. I was struggling trying to find something to order that sounded appetizing. I knew going in that this place was authentic Japanese but I don't know, nothing sounded great to me. I love mushrooms so I got the Mixed Kinoko Mushroom appetizer which was $15. To add scallops was another $8. Mushrooms were tasty. Scallops were not. $23 for a small dish. I also got the pork short ribs. Not a ton of meat on them, however, nice flavor. I was still hungry after this so I ordered a dessert which was the best part of the meal. They get some of their desserts from Hen & Heifer which is a well established place in Guilford. I got the Ube Panna cotta. Boyfriend got the Black cod Yu-an Yaki and upgraded to add the salad, pickles and rice for $3 more. The pickles were maybe two bites. Salad tasty but again, very small. He said the cod was just ok too. Very small portions and pricey for what you get. $30 for a mini sake flight. Not impressed with how it was served either. Small tasting glasses just placed on the table with no description. The server explained which was which, but I didn't remember. Not sure if he didn't care or this is how it's normally served, but if you go to a wine bar/brewery, they provide descriptions with flights usually written underneath the glass, or at least serve it in something. Not just tiny glasses placed on a table where you have no idea what you're having. Especially for $30! I was not impressed with this place whatsoever. As this is part of a newer restaurant group with a few different locations nearby in New Haven, we then went to their cocktail Lounge on crown street (116 Cocktail Bar) thinking it might be better, however we were equally disappointed. It was dead in there and the bartenders were miserable. They couldn't wait to get out of there. I have heard that their hand roll bar is very good (Handroll on State St). We have been to their Grocery Store called The Loop and it's cute. They have a brunch at the Grocery/Kitchen location that looks really good. They also have a wine lounge at The Loop that I'd like to try.

You could tell moms were being celebrated everywhere, families were out enjoying themselves, and despite the crowd, the atmosphere still felt fun and lively instead of stressful. They offer an all-you-can-eat menu with a huge variety of sushi, seafood options, and buffet station, which definitely felt worth the price considering how much food is available. Without a reservation, the wait looked pretty long, so I'd definitely recommend calling ahead on holidays or weekends. Even with how crowded it was, the service stayed good throughout the night. The ordering system uses tablets at the table, and because of how busy it was, a few of my orders didn't go through the first time. I mentioned it to our server and he immediately addressed the issue, made sure I reordered everything, and continued checking in to make sure our food was arriving correctly. I also appreciated how accommodating the staff was. I asked for a chicken sushi roll and they made one for me I did have to reorder the seafood boil before receiving it, but the servers stayed attentive, communicated with us, and handled concerns professionally the entire time. What stood out most was that despite the chaos, everyone still seemed to be enjoying themselves. The staff was clearly working hard, but they stayed friendly and attentive throughout the Mother's Day rush. Overall, the food was good, the vibe stayed positive, and it still ended up being an enjoyable holiday dinner with friends and family.
