Food is delicious, high quality , and served in far more generous portions than the competition. The servers are warm and friendly. Note that this is a true Japanese restaurant devoid of "Fusion" cuisine. No hibachi grills either: just high quality authentic Japanese cuisine. The non-sushi entree were made just as well as the sushi, so those not in the mood for raw fish are quite well taken care of here. There is also a good selection of vegetarian sushi. Overall, a remarkable addition to the local dining scene. The location has been death to prior restaurants but this food is so good that there is a chance that the tradition ends now. read more

Last night was my first visit to Osaka... Not the city, but the place. This is THE PLACE for great sushi. I started with miso soup, which was standard. I ordered hot tea, and I was very pleasantly surprised by its perfection. Its heady jasmine aroma instantly transported me, calmed my jangled nerves from a busy week, and readied my taste buds for the main event: great sushi. I ordered two raw rolls, both were menu item house specialties. They were skillfully prepared and very artfully presented. The taste was truly excellent. I could taste the fresh tuna and salmon, which was well complimented by spiciness and the flavors of perfectly ripe avocado, toasted sesame seeds, and fresh roe. The wasabi and pickled ginger were perfect, as in these standard accompaniments did not at all detract from the main course. The restaurant was clean, tidy, nicely decorated, active, but not loud, with nice sight lines, interesting tiles, and comfortable lighting. Nice atmosphere! The restroom was clean, devoid of odors, and well-stocked on the Friday night that I visited. Will I eat there again? YES! Who knew such a pearl would appear in Langhorne? It is worth a drive from Oxford Valley, Neshaminy, Newtown, and Yardley. read more

I always get the 10 piece Flowers Mills plater. I ask to drop the yellow tuna and and leave the spicy salmon (or you can get regular) and drop the soybean paper and add the seaweed paper. And drop the sauce on top-you don't really need it all the time. It's $12.95 and I also can use my own organic low salt soy sauce if its to go. Maybe I'll bring it. I already bring pink salt with me. If you're unsure of coming here do yourself a favor and stop what you're doing and head over to Osaka for delicious sushi!!! The Tuna Pizza is my favorite thing on the menu. It's sheer perfection really: spicy tuna, caviar, avocado and other delicious things. I also love their Salmon teriyaki and spicy tuna and salmon rolls. Looking for lunch delivery on a rainy day, Osaka was by far my best option in the Langhorne/Penndel area. I'd been there for eat-in twice before, so I knew the lunch special (3 rolls for $10.95) is a steal. I ordered the futomaki (which seems to be a LARGE savory egg-and-vegetable roll), the spicy yellowtail roll, and the sweet potato roll -- all of which were fresh and good, as usual. (The futomaki is, in fact, excellent and surprisingly my favorite roll here.) In order to meet the $15 delivery minimum, I tried the avocado salad for the first time. My food arrived in 57 minutes (just within their estimate of 45-60 minutes). We have limited front desk service in the summer, so the delivery folks called me on my office phone, as requested. Ordering on the Yelp app is easy, but there's no intuitive way to order rolls with brown rice, and I'm never sure whether the requested "special instructions" are for the food or the delivery. Phone orders might be the way to go if you have special food requests, although EAT24 apparently does allow you to make changes to your order (including special instructions, changing from delivery to pickup, and changing from cash payment to credit) via their Chat function, email, or phone. Note: The eat-in area where you walk in isn't huge, but it feels upscale and they are more than willing to accommodate a large group (about 10 people in ours) without advance notice. read more

I'm still shaking off the disbelief. This place really does have some of the best sushi I've ever had, and in Langhorne no less! The crazy roll, the angry scallop roll, red dragon roll, and the sexy girl roll were my favorites. I was there with 14 of my family members, so I got to try a lot of other dishes I would not normally order when I can get sushi. Chicken fried rice- delicious and huge. Seafood dumplings- so good! The only thing I didn't really care for was the fried calamari, but even that wasn't awful, just not the best I've had. My local go-to sushi place. Always quick and good service. The usual order is spicy tuna which is a hit or miss on spice intensity, though flavor is still good. Also, spicy shrimp and shrimp tempura. Both are top favorites! My one complaint is that their salad is just iceberg lettuce with a bit of shredded carrots. The dressing is okay. Their miso soup is bland. Count me as one of the people who find the sushi here to be merely average. It's not bad, but nothing special. I've had sushi here that used over ripe avocado, for example. Also, getting served a smoothie in a to go plastic cup when dining at the restaurant is a bit lame. We've been here three times, but will likely go elsewhere after getting bad avocado and super mushy mango. Sushi is reliant on quality ingredients and over ripe fruit always makes me want to gag. To be fair I've had good stuff here too. I enjoy how they do the chicken teriyaki. The place itself looks okay. They did at least try to create an ambiance. Depending on your sensibilities, it might be a little cheesy like a night club vibe, but I appreciate trying to create a vibe. So many restaurants around here have no personality. read more

Ok, my husband and I discovered this when we first started dating and we go about once a week. The Holiday roll is my all time favorite, but we have not had a bad moment here and we have had almost every roll! We would have been able to do them all if we didn't always have to get out staples. We went here with my parents for dinner. We had the pork and seafood gyoza for appetizer. It was excellent. I had a california and shrimp tempura roll. My husband had a tuna roll and spicy yellowtail apple roll. We thought it was all good. My Dad had the scallop and shrimp hibachi and my Mom had the steak hibachi and they thought their dishes were very good (they do a really good job with the vegetables). This is a 3 star sushi place with 1.5 star service. We arrived either at or just at or after 3 pm. As soon as we walked in the door and before we could pick up a to go menu (which I was actively reaching for) we were greeted by "are you ready to order?" Ummm, no. I wasn't sure if it was 3 or later, but I handed my daughter the lunch side of the menu and we discussed the 3 roll combo. My daughter was deciding between that and the sushi regular (which she originally ordered but changed her mind. By the time the order was in the computer (3 rolls spicy salmon, Philadelphia roll, shrimp tempura roll and a miso soup) it was 3:11. The charge was $18.with tax rather than the 10.95 lunch special price. They didn't seem very flexible so I didn't argue and figured I'd let the food do the talking (clarification here - I didn't eat anything we stopped solely for my daughter who has a packed night), If the food was worth the service I would go back, if not chalk it up to experience (spoiler alert-not so much), By way of information, even Golden China is flexible a few minutes with lunch specials and they have a huge difference in pricing lunch to dinner. The prices are within line for local sushi places. Oishi is a bit more expensive, but the service is normally good and the prices much better. Otaya, Mt Fuji and even Masa, the AYCE in Princeton have better sushi and service than I experienced. I'm not talking about the charge either. From the lack of greeting to the hostess asking if I wanted a receipt while watching to see if I tipped her and then not saying thank you not a pleasant experience. The man who brought the food to us in the waiting area thanked us but no one else acknowledged us. In short the food was "ok" according to my daughter and I might give lunch a second chance if I happen to be in that immediate area, but I wouldn't run back. read more
