My family was in the mood for some sushi and Pier didn't disappoint, we didn't want to travel far because it was cold and Pier was 6min away so it was an easy choice, called in an order and they were nice on the phone, went to pick it up and they were nice at the spot as well, place is small but big enough to sit and eat, the food was really good and the sushi was fresh though a bit pricey but what place isn't expensive anymore....we will return when we will crave some sushi.

I am new to the area. We had a craving for sushi and tried out Pier Sushi. It's a small cozy place that makes everything fresh to order. The service was so busy. You can't rush great fresh food. I had the sashimi taste and chicken tempura roll. I was full and satisfied. We will be back.

This has become our go to sushi spot. The fish and fruit always tastes fresh and clean. All of the staff members are lovely. Multiple times we have received a complimentary dessert after our meal. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a laid back spot!

Absolutely delicious! This has become one of my favorite restaurants and their sushi is incredible every time. The owner is super friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Fantastic service and food! Ordered a tuna avocado roll, baked philly roll, and lobster and filet hibachi with soup. All of the food was AMAZING. Topped it off with some ice cream. They did charge us for water because they gave us water bottles, but considering the food and service it was no problem. They were also playing some current hits music in the background which we enjoyed. We will be back to try more of their sushi rolls.

This hidden gem is a definite need to go to. From the amazing food and service to the music, this is a must try! There is NOTHING that we have not liked!!! The prices can't be beat either. We started with the Avocado Ginger salad, Gyoza, Shumai and Tempura appetizers. The Pier Boat for 3 and Chicken and steak hibachi combo were the entrees and green tea ice cream and mochi were the icing on the cake. And ask for the hot tea.

Fast, friendly and delicious! It's great to have a sushi place of this caliber in our area!

Went here for dinner for the first time. It was amazing. The food was so fresh and tasty. The price was right, we had sushi, clear soup, hot tea, and fried cheesecake. Service was fast nice attentive. I can't wait to go back. It was so good. You'll definitely wanna dine in. Best I've had in a very long time.

Beautiful assortment of raw and cooked rolls for the Party Platter D. Convenient pickup as well thanks to the spacious parking lot.

Food fresh, beautifully plated, great portions and averagely priced. We were the only dine in table but with a strong flow of pick up orders server was super attentive and friendly. Patiently answered any questions about menu items and had good recommendations. The restaurant itself is super modern, clean and overall cute. I can't wait to go back to try different menu items. Highly recommend.

Absolutely delicious and fresh! My bff got the gyoza and tonkatsu ramen and was thrilled about the flavor. They have a seriously loyal customer base. I was happy to try it tonight! I am very grateful to the hard-working staff that took care of us tonight and prepared such a lovely food and gave such nice service. I would write a song about it on my ukelele about the quirky preciousness of the waitress and decor and music and Japanese knicknacks... but the food was quite lovely. Happy to be in their wonderful care.

Parking was easy to find, the lot is shared with the rest of the small strip mall anchored by a CVS. The young lady who took my order over the phone also greeted me when I entered. She was so nice, helpful and detailed when explaining the menu. The inside of the restaurant appeared clean and welcoming for dining in. They offer chilled and room temperature Chinese flavored waters, Japanese marble sodas, Thai tea, soda and sparkling water. My wife and kids wanted Chicken Teriyaki $10.75 - the lunch portion came with veggies and rice. The portion was small, but they all enjoyed the flavors and said the chicken was fresh. I had ordered the Shoyu Ramen (Chashu pork) Corn, nori, boiled egg, kikurage and scallion at $14.75. The noodles were a big glob and had to be broken up. The broth was spicy, delicious and made up for the noodles. The pork was two thinly sliced medallions that were juicy and flavorful. I made three bowls of soup with the portion, so it was plenty for a second/third meal. I also ordered the Yummy Yummy Roll off the special roll menu $14.75 - Shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, salmon, eel sauce, spicy mayo & tobiko. It didn't hold together well and was ok/good. I would try another roll if I return. Their menu is pretty extensive with Japanese offerings of soups, salad, yakitori, sushi/sashimi, gyoza, hibachi meals, bento box meals, udon, ramen, etc. If I have a return trip I would eat in if having ramen, but the take out experience was good. I'll say it again the young lady working there was patient and an absolute pleasure to deal with! Thanks guys!

That said, undeterred we were seated a a booth and pleasantly surprised the rest of the way. We all started with teas. I had the iced hibiscus tea and it was wonderful and refreshing after an exhausting day. It had a mild natural sweetness, but no sugary flavoring. For an app we ordered the seafood pajun. It was a bit cakier that I would have liked but it was delicious nonetheless. Nice big chunks of seafood in every bight. And for mains, we ordered a few large sushi rolls, along with some wakame (seaweed salad). And all was very good. Big chunks of fish, not too overdone with dressings or sauces. And the staff was very friendly. The owner came by to check on us as we wrapped up our meal and she was very sweet. Overall the environment was open, clean, and the ambiance was just what I was hoping for. Will try to stop in when I'm through that way again.

Inside were shrimp shumai, gyoza, Chili Korean Bao, a two-protein poke burrito stuffed with crab meat and spicy tuna, plus a spicy tuna roll and a spicy scallop roll. This is more food than any two people strictly need, which is one of civilization's finer achievements. The good news: nothing was bad. Not a single bite asked to be forgiven. The shrimp shumai were the clear overachievers: plump, warm, and reassuring, like a friendly lecture from someone who actually did the reading. The spicy scallop roll was their equal, delivering that perfect balance of heat and sweetness that makes you briefly optimistic about the future of humankind. The poke burrito was ambitious, a bold little manifesto wrapped in rice and seaweed. Crab meat and spicy tuna got along just fine, though the whole affair leaned more toward "good" than "revelation." The spicy tuna roll was solid and dependable, like a Midwestern uncle who always shows up on time. The gyoza and Chili Korean Bao did their jobs honorably, though neither demanded a standing ovation. Everything arrived intact, flavorful, and prepared by people who seemed to care, always a comfort in an indifferent universe. Four stars, then, because perfection is suspicious and because it's nice to leave something to strive for tomorrow.

The inside is nicely laid out and easy on the eyes. Booths, tables in the middle, sushi bar towards the back and private tatami rooms along the one outer wall. I had called ahead and reserved one of their tatami rooms. It was our first time in a room like that and we really enjoyed it! (NOTE: you have to remove your shoes before entering the tatami room so make sure you wear socks if that bothers you!) The service was friendly and timely. Our waitress took the time to go over their menu which had several pages of sushi options alone. They don't have a kids menu, but they were both able to find something they liked. My oldest had the Chicken Teriyaki that came on a skillet with a bed of steamed veggies and white rice on the side. He devoured it and asked for more rice. He allowed me to have a couple of bites of his chicken. The Teriyaki flavors were popping! Little guy shared a steak and shrimp hibachi with my wife. She asked for medium and it came out well. The flavors of the steak and shrimp were awesome, but the corn rice and veggies had a little bit of an off flavor and texture. Both meals came with soup - one miso which tasted just fine, the other a clear soup that had a delicious full onion flavored broth. I had the Volcano roll - $17 - eight - Shrimp tempura, cucumber w special sweet tuna salad outside and the Phoenix Roll - $18 - eight -mixed combo fish & avocado roll, top with salmon yellowtail & special sauce on top. The Volcano roll wasn't super tight, but I enjoyed the crunchy shrimp tempura and sweet sauce. Good fresh ingredients and flavors in both, Phoenix roll had a welcoming kick in the special sauce. Our friend had a Philly Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll and a veggie roll ($7-$8 avg.) which she said were all good. We had a great time in the room and will certainly repeat. I'm not a well traveled sushi eater, but the menu at Tako was much more extensive (more fish varieties and combinations) than my usual Asian fusion spots) at a similar price so I'll be returning to try more options. The one thing I would recommend to their owners is a bathroom spruce up or thorough cleaning. The walls looked like an inexperienced painter took care of them and there were dirt marks all over the door. Having said that, it's great to have a fun dining option close to home! Thanks guys!!!
