Ordered Chinese from here when our regular place closed for vacation. Plenty of parking to be found in the strip mall parking lot. The inside is set up for dining, but these days it looks like they are a takeout place. The sushi bar seats are gone and some of the booths were full of back stock, to-go packaging and menus. They gave me a 25 min time for pickup, but were delayed. When I arrived there was a line of 8 or so people waiting for orders. The staff was nice, but busy. The sushi chef was busy working away on orders. I've heard good things about their sushi, so I'll have to try it on another visit. As for their food, the General Tso's was a good portion, not spicy even though I asked for it spicy and overall it was typical for most places. I would order it again, but my regular spot is better. The Teriyaki chicken smelled wonderful, was a good portion, but the chicken was a little chewy with poor texture. It came with a small miso soup that was good. The pork lo mein gave my wife a headache. They use MSG here. I had the leftovers and again just ordinary lo mein. Their house broth in the wonton soup is darker and possibly a beef broth. It was a little on the sweeter side. Their rice was dry and forgettable, but it's just plain white rice, so mixing it in with the dishes yielded some flavor. Price to feed everyone was over $50 with some pork eggrolls, which I didn't try. Aside from possibly trying their sushi, I don't see a reason to stray from my usual joint, however from the volume of take out orders I witnessed while I was waiting, they must be popular for the area. Couldn't wait to have some of their delicious food again but because of the pandemic, they held off opening, even for takeout, until very recently. As soon as they did open for takeout, we called and placed an order. We don't usually get take out but the order was completely correct and as good and fresh and delicious as we remembered it. This restaurant offers Chinese/Japanese/Thai food in the same space where Asian Bamboo, a Chinese/Thai place, formerly operated. Might be the same owners? Anyway, I tried their chicken with broccoli lunch special for take away and it was pretty good! The rice was very flavorful, the chicken was juicy and the vegetables were perfectly crunchy and tasty. The accompanying egg roll was similar to those you'd find in any standard Chinese place-thick fried wrapper-nothing special. A side salad with salad dressing also came with the meal. They provided a prepared packet with a hot mustard, soy sauce, duck sauce and fork and the two staff members were pleasant. The interior has a good amount of seating and looks like it would be a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. I'll return to try more menu items. read more

I stopped by here as it was on route from my parents place to my place and I'm so glad I did. I was not about to cook at 8:30pm after the day I had and would eat just about anything at that point. I ordered about 10 minutes before I got there, and was surprised when I had to wait another 10-15 min. I didnt realize the place was so popular as there was about 5 different groups waiting for their food outside of the restaurant. I got the general tso and the hunan chicken and was pleasantly surprised. The general tso was a bit sweeter than I expected but in terms of flavor and crispiness of the chicken, they were spot on. The hunan chicken blew my mind though. My dad's born in the hunan province and not to say it was close in terms of taste (not expecting it to given its amercanized chinese food) but it was the level of spice and flavor I would've expected for the dish. As the name suggests, Peking Tokyo is a new Asian fusion house in the Pine Watson Shopping Center in the heart of downtown Langhorne, PA. In addition to Chinese and Japanese elements, Thai cuisine is given a nod with a few curry and noodle dishes. I was there for lunch, and as everyone working there were speaking Chinese only, I was most interested in that part of the menu. I asked for their lunch specials General Tso's Chicken, extra heat, which came with a cup of soup (Wonton), small ginger dressed salad, and fried rice. I also had a mug of green tea (an extra charge, although not disclosed until the bill appeared). Everything was okay, but the only thing that stood out was the quality fried rice. It was freshly made with a higher standard grain, veggies and no dye. The soup was beef consomme with thick skinned wontons and decent filling. The chicken was plentiful and encased in a thickish shell. The sauce was tart as requested, with a few Szechuan red peppers in the mix. Particularly tasty when the rice was tossed in. The salad was from their sushi offerings - a first for me for a Chinese lunch and a nice touch, although I am not a fan of that ubiquitous ginger dressing. Service was fine, and the manager stopped by to check on my satisfaction. The sushi chef stood at his bar in uniform and at the ready. Peking Tokyo (Bangkok) is a step ahead of its predecessors in variety and quality from this vantage point, and as a new business it is still on its shakedown cruise. Hope it maintains high standards and is successful. Langhorne Borough certainly deserves that. read more

We have been looking for a great Chinese place since our favorite place closed, this place is great. The lady that took our order and rang us out was very polite unlike most Chinese places you call or go to and you feel as if you are an inconvenience. We ordered the combination platters of beef and broccoli and chicken and broccoli which came with a side salad and egg rolls. The brown sauce that is used in these dishes is very flavorful. Some places drown their meals in the sauce, but not here. We also ordered fried dumplings, and our daughter had the chicken lo mein and wonton soup. The dumplings were perfect, not too doughy and not dried out in the middle. The broth as well as the wonton noodles were also very flavorful. The prices are a bit higher than your traditional Chinese place but the quality of food definitely reflects the cost. All in all we will be returning customers here. read more

Awful pad Thai. Not listed on menu with bell peppers but came with it upon delivery. I called to complain and he claimed pad Thai always comes with bell peppers and eats pad Thai regularly and even worked in a Thai restaurant for 5+ years, I was so annoyed. I tried to pick them out and the sauce was just awful. The beef was so chewy and fatty and low quality. Sushi is also fishy and not fresh. I would say order from here with caution and only get typical Chinese food like rice, sweet n sour chicken, lomein- only safe things. Never ordering pad Thai from here again. First time eating here. Been put off by the name - Chinese and Japanese food are totally different. And then I see Thai food on the menu! Decided to go for Japanese and Thai to see what that could tell me about this place, which otherwise would just be a typical Chinese takeout place. The verdict: if you want greasy generic chinese takeout, go for it. If you want a Japanese or Thai meal, don't bother. Not even going into the "authenticity" question, the Pad Thai was simply inedible. It was a lump of rice noodles lathered in a sweet brown sauce, with some strips of chicken thrown in. There was a sprinkle of peanuts in one corner to give it a Thai flare, but nothing could salvage that flavor. Not even the WARM LIME sliver that was lying like a dead fish on the top of the noodles. While we're on the subject, the sushi was the best part of the meal but that's not saying much. The salmon and the tuna were fresh enough but the yellowtail felt and smelled like it was a in a freezer for a month and then in a fridge for another few days. The rice was undercooked and not sushi rice (not all rices are created equally ok). Finally, the vegetarian fried "gyoza" were undercooked and soft. Seems like they might have been in a hurry. Based on what I had alone, I'd say skip this place completely. I guess general tso chicken might be their specialty but I will never know cause I'm not going back here. Menu items should not just be for show, and that's what it felt like from my experience. If I could offer some constructive criticism, serve to people what you'd like to eat at home, not what you think they might want, especially if you don't know how to cook it. read more

I almost wasn't going to write this review because I feel bad giving it 3 stars again. After thinking about it for a few days, I figured I might as well write it. I had high hopes that I would have been able to rate this place higher than 3 stars. I got the General Tso's chicken with white rice for dinner a few nights ago. It was $12.67, and firstly, the woman on the phone told me that this would come with an egg roll and salad. It did not. I'm going to be honest and say that I rarely ever crave Chinese food these days and the last time that I had General Tso's chicken was probably over a year ago. But back when I used to eat Chinese food much more, I loved this dish. And I can't remember it being so sweet. This tasted like dessert chicken, honestly. It was scary how sweet this chicken tasted. And the sauce was an unappealing thick and gloppy texture. After I scraped off most of the goopy sauce from the chicken pieces, the chicken actually tasted pretty good. The few bits of broccoli that came with the dish were actually perfect because they added a crunchy element not found elsewhere in the dish. Overall, I would not order this dish again. The sauce was a no-go for me. Side note, I enjoyed the single fortune cookie that I received. And, I didn't get any utensils. LOL. I remember from last time that this place is notoriously cheap on fortune cookies, utensils, and napkins. P.S. The photo shows just what I chose to eat for one sitting. The best Asian cuisine in the area. Their teriyaki salmon is fantastic! All the other dishes we've ordered have been delicious as well.

Finally we have found our go-to restaurant. Every time we order from Peking-Tokyo the food is hot, and fresh. Plus, the wait is never more than 25 minutes unlike other Asian restaurants in the area. I'm sorry but I'm not waiting 2 hours for take out. With Peking Tokyo there is no reason to go anywhere else. We usually only do Chinese cuisine and I would highly suggest the chicken with broccoli, general Tao and shrimp with mixed vegetables. The egg rolls are also probably the best I have ever had. The broccoli was saturated in the sauce as well leaving it inedible unless you have Covid-19 and can't taste it. Fortunately, the fried rice was the savior for the meal.
