This was an amazing pedicure experience. That chair was heavenly. The lady (unfortunately I missed her name) who did my pedicure was so gentle and meticulous. She took her time cleaning my nail bed and the corners. Just imagine that and this chair messaging these knots in my shoulders. I don't get my nails done very often. Come to think of it the last time was before my wedding. Twice in one year - man I feel so fancy. With the Christmas classical piano music, the gentle sounds of running water from the waterfalls on each wall, and the chair that knows how to massage - this place knows how to give you a calming experience. My mom and I had Sam and Van who both did a great job on our manicures. Van was my nail technician and I liked how she would ask for my approval on how it looked before moving on to the next step. What I found out after we were done was that they normally do offer you a drink (anywhere from water to alcoholic) while you're getting pampered. Just a little extra icing on the cake. read more

I just got a pedicure this time around, as I tend to do the gel nails and didn't like the last place I tried. Went after 6, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they are open late. Pedicure was nice....my technician didn't try to talk to me a lot, which is how I prefer it. And two weeks later, the polish is still chip free. I'm headed back soon for the gel nails...will update. Update: have done the gel nails twice now. They will actually just do a new polish for $10 less. It means no cuticle clipping or massage, but they will still file and trim the nail. Definitely nice to just do the polish change every other visit and save the money. I also did a polish change on the toes, and saved the cost of a full pedicure. Definitely worth that too. This place was suggested by my friends, so I decided to give them a try. The place looked great and clean. They seemed busy, I counted and there were 13 employees serving customers. I did a pedicure & manicure, and it cost me $69 (there are different types of pedicures and manicures with different prices to choose). The ladies seemed nice and friendly. It was towards the end of day so you could tell that they were tired and ready to go home, which made me afraid if they're just going to quicken their jobs and have me out the door without doing my nails how I want them. I got what I needed to get done, however, I wish I would've just driven to my regular salon. I needed to soak off my previous set and get a manicure with polish. An acrylic nail was used to pull off the gel that was on my natural nail, and when that didn't work she clipped off the edges of my nail so she could shimmy the acrylic nail in. So now I had no choice but to get extremely short nails, which wasn't what I wanted. The polish looked good, but some of the nails weren't even so I had to fix them at home. Also, when I arrived, the front door was open to air out the salon because it smelled horrible. read more

While I have ranted and raved about Oscars for 7 years, they have lost my business. They have become sketchy, like the rest of them.

The nail tech did not listen to what I asked for and I repeatedly asked her to fix them but she wouldn't. I left there with my nails looking like chicklet gum on my nails. I then had to go home and try to fix them for over 2 hours. read more

I come here with my mom frequently and we love this place! Consistently good pedicures and massages. If you pay more for the deluxe pedi you get a longer massage/pedi which I appreciate. No matter how crowded it is, they take their time on your service. They also have complementary margaritas and wine, and the margs are actually great! Although my toenails look nice, I absolutely love getting pedicures for the meticulous time and care spent tending to your legs and feet. This was the fastest pedicure I've ever received with the bare minimum time spent on the scrub and massage. We had appointments, and it was during the daytime, so it wasn't even busy. Many of the techs were relaxing and playing on their phones. I was very disappointed and would not recommend wasting your time here unless you only have a short amount to spend. read more

Came in for the first time in July. Had just recovered from a broken leg, so wanted to get my feet looking pretty again. I also chose to get a manicure. Two girls came over and worked on my feet and hands at the same time. The girls spoke to each other and laughed throughout my time in the chair but never spoke to me. I didn't get a hello, or anything. The girl that worked on my feet was very rough with my left foot, and caused my big toe to bleed and hurt for weeks. I've been going to Oscar's since I was in high school, fast forward about 4-5 years later, still going. I've cheated and gone to other salons when friends want to go to "their" place, or when a new salon pops in town and want to check it out. But I ALWAYS come back home. My husband even pointed it out saying, "you know it's always funny, you can always go with others to different nail places but you always end up going right back to Oscar's." And I realized that once he said it- You can't beat their amazing service, top of the line pedicures (which are so relaxing and honestly the BEST ones I've had compared to dozens and dozens of other places in the area that would literally set a COOKING TIMER to make sure they don't go a second over the allotted time of massaging on your legs/feet!), The nail techs that treat your nails right and make sure they are all even, shaped the way you want, and done the proper way. Shayla, the manager is always so friendly and remembers which nail tech you like and what your normal service is. If something is ever wrong, she is quick to fix it or resolve the issue. My only wish is if they would do promotionals for the summer, or punch cards like other places do. Only because I have spent so much money here. read more

Today I was completed disgusted with the service or lack thereof I received! I arrived at 10:45AM and did not leave until 2:37PM. When I arrived the owner didn't greet me she greeted a family behind me (before you think it's familiarity - no she knows who I am as I've been a customer for years) No big deal. I sign in. She starts servicing the family behind me. I thought perhaps they had an appointment (I asked they did not). But I let it slide. She finally comes to me & I as I'm telling her I wanted a soak off, gel manicure & pedicure more people walk in she completely disregards me & goes to greet them. I say excuse me, that's rude, I was here before them & she rudely cuts me off & tells me to have a sit to the side but is extra friendly asking them to pick a color. I debated leaving at this point. As I'm waiting more customers come & she helps all of them FIRST #MINDBLOWN She again, finally comes to me. I tell her what I want & she's like no don't do gel. (I've noticed she always tries to persuade people away from gel to do the powder.) I say I want gel & w/ an attitude she's like pick a color. I pick a color. And I'm waiting. Another customer walks in & she is seated & started to be serviced before me. Right when I'm about to walk out a young girl comes to start my soak off. I ask the owner if she could help me match a toe polish & again she attempts to persuade me not do gel (I'm 34 - I've been going to nail shops since 15. I am well aware that gel is fine) I assume maybe she doesn't have the color I want so I say fine what color in the powder similar to the gel color I wanted - she brings the sticks and I really didn't like the colors so I stick with the gel color. I asked again if she could help me find a toe polish & she's basically like IDK, she didn't want to help. Ok, whatever as I'm soaking off another young lady who had come asked for matching help & she was more than eager to. She comes over & wants to speed up the soak off & rub it off & I tell her its ok I like for it all to soak/melt off on its own - I wear my natural nails, they're long & it's healthier for my nails & keeps them stronger not using the tools or filing over them to get the dip off. Fast forward dip is off, I'm waiting & have to ask to continue services. I go to the pedicure chair & the lady keeps trying to get me to get the $60 gold pedicure & I'm like I don't want that, I want the $48 one. Pedicure is great. All good! I'm moved to a table for my gel & the manger again is like don't do the gel cause it's going to crack your nails, powders better blah blah I say you know what fine let me do the one closest to the gel I wanted and she's like well since you like the chrome it'll be $50 (so basically she didn't want me to do the gel so she could charge me for chrome powder instead) The nail tech sits down & immediately I could tell she doesn't know what she's doing! She's clipping my cuticles way too far. She made me bleed at one point. She's putting on the powder way too thick, she's not covering my nail completely. I have to keep asking her to please be gentler, these are my real nails not acrylic. She asks if I like & I tell her no, it's messy, I like my nails square & not thick. She's getting flustered with herself & I'm like it's ok, relax... lets fix it. At this point my nails are ugly I've been here for 3 hours & she's like I'll fix for you, I'll fix for you. The customer to my left LeAnn even interjects like this isn't good work, I am extremely annoyed, frustrated however staying polite. I again tell the tech I do not like & she says well let someone else do it. She's having a very nasty attitude, now trying to rush the mess she has created. She then puts on the wrong chrome color I ask if she could put the right one on top but says she cannot it won't look right. At this point LeAnn disturbed by the techs attitude and seeing my complete frustration is like I am so sorry let me take care of this for you. I respectfully ask to speak to the manager outside. Soon as we get outside she starts yelling at me. I'm in complete disbelief as I never raised my voice or was rude. I ended up leaving but needless to say I WILL NEVER GO BACK. read more
