Please believe the negative reviews and don't come here. I never leave reviews but I've been coming here on and off for years (mainly because it's convenient) but they manage to disappoint every.single.time The "manager" Sheila is very rude and unprofessional. She'll raise her voice at you infront of customers and staff at the salon and don't ever expect a refund if you hate your nails LOL. This last time I went I waited for 40 minutes before getting into a chair. Then once my pedicure started she told me I had to wait until it was done for them to start my nails. I spent 4 hours at the salon for gel nails and a pedicure it's ridiculous. My pedicure was good. But my nails came out horrendous. The color looked completely different than the one I'd chosen. They offered to paint on top of it with regular polish and I foolishly accepted that. I paid for gel nails but got regular polish......? I called again today as I'm really really unhappy with how they look. She told me if I wanted anything else I'd have to pay the full price haha. So I decided I'd just go to Champions down the street who are a little pricier but way better quality. This place also raised their prices so you're better off going to a more professional nail salon. But if you want trash looking nails go here! read more

This place used to be great I have been coming here since high school (about 5-6 Years) recently I have it has been hit or miss on my dip sets they seem to always be in a rush or short handed- the techs are also not doing the best work anymore my most recent set, that I went and had removed at a another salon right after I had gotten it, I could bend the acrylic tip they were so thin, the color was splotchy, and the shaping was uneven. I would not recommend this place for a new set but they do have great pedicures read more

My first visit made me a repeat customer! Everything was very clean, the staff was very professional and friendly and did great work. I got a pedicure for $48 not including tip, which was right in the middle of the different kinds they offered. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I don't think my feet are as smooth as they could be, but to be fair I probably should have said something during. I don't get my nails professionally done often but I love coming here when I need to get my nails done. They do allow walk ins, but sometimes it does get a bit busy, so I would suggest calling them ahead of time to see how long the wait is going to be and you can also make an appointment there too if you don't have enough time to wait. The salon itself looks very nice and it's calming as well. They have tv's propped up against the walls to watch something while you're getting a pedicure done and the seats are also massage chairs so you can get in a mini massage while getting your nails done. They do give you a complimentary drink to have while they do your nails, but I usually go for water. The best part about this place is the service. The ladies who do your nails are such sweet ladies and they will always make sure that you're out of the salon happy. There was a time where I was being clumsy and I smudged up one of my nails while it was drying and they made sure that it was fixed up as well as make sure everything else is perfect before leaving. Another thing is you don't have to worry about the place being sanitary because they take every precaution to make sure that everything's clean. The tubs for pedicures have a plastic covering for each use so when a service is over, they can throw away the used covering and replace it with a clean one. All of the supplies that they use are brand new and still in their packaging till the nail technician has to use that tool so she'll open the packaging right in front of you. This is such a great place to go to for your nails and their prices never change! Compared to other salons, the price is not bad at all for what comes with the service and if you don't have that much money to get your nails done often, it's well worth saving your money to get your nails done here. read more

I came to oscars by referral from a great friend, the first time I went I was very pleased with the service I was provided. The lady who did my pedicure was so sweet and patient and all around an amazing customer service pro!! The lady who did my nails (Mia) is AMAZING. She took all the right steps to ensure my nails lasted, unlike other places i've been. My set lasted me 3-4 weeks. My second time coming back I tried service with Donnie. At first I was very satisfied with the color and shape, but displeased with it taking 2 hours for one color, a couple days go by and already 3 of my nails have broken. I went back to fix them and the manager was super sweet and understanding. However, Donnie was very rude and honestly very unprofessional, making petty comments about me lying how they just broke because they were FAR TOO THIN. He fixed them, with attitude, and ended up with the same problem. Another week in, my set has fallen apart. Very disappointed with a service i paid $60 dollars for, NEVER again. read more

I started coming here after reading great reviews, I have been here 3 times now, the first time I came in for a gel manicure and I was genuinely happy with it, she did a good job and the polish lasted way longer then I imagined. The second time I came I had an appointment and waited for a long time before being seen, they don't actually reserve spots for appointments so if they are really busy your just out of luck. This last time I went I booked a pedicure and dip nails for myself and my mom, thinking I would give it another try and maybe I just had bad luck last time well again, even though I had an appointment we had to wait a while to be seated, after a few days a nail popped right off, I was going to get it fixed when I realized another one is loose! I'm better off just taking them all off, l feel like they are going to come off one at a time like press on nails! Don't even mention the pedicure! ‍ I came out looking like I just had someone paint my toenails and that was it! There was still dead skin even though I didn't even come in with a lot. Oscar's in Rowlett was recommended by a friend almost two years ago. Went with her once, & I have been going back ever since! Clean, efficient, reasonable prices, pleasant atmosphere. Tried manicures, pedicures, and facials--all great! Televisions all on HGTV with closed captions. I will admit I tried a new place once in Rockwall several months ago--was nice but got grossed out when they go to scrape bottom of feet with a cheese grater like I have in my kitchen! Back to Oscar's! Highly recommend Oscar's! They must be doing something right because they always have a good crowd. read more

I went in just for a simple pedicure and to get my eyebrows waxed. The pedicure was fine (but the polish selection was very limited). However, the eyebrow waxing is where I had the issue. The young lady who did my eyebrows told me, "it is my job to make eyebrows look great!" However, she ended up pulling more than just the hair on my brows. After pulling the wax tape, she immediately apologized, but I did not know why until I looked in the mirror. Above each eyelid, I now have two very noticeable pieces of skin missing, and yes- it is VERY painful. Extremely disappointed, and will not be returning. read more

I tried a new place today and was so impressed I had to write this review! So clean & sanitized.. tools were individually wrapped before use, new liners in each of the pedicure foot tubs, & even new emery boards, which you don't always see. Michelle and Nancy pampered me from the moment they offered me a drink to the moment I walked out the door. I asked for something special for Christmas as they delivered! And they are true perfectionists, they both were not letting me leave, until the quality was just right! I am definitely going back, this is my new place! This is by far the best salon that I've been to! Love the decorations and it's very clean. The technicians open the package of tools in front of you, so you definitely know that they are clean! The staff is really nice and patient. They do everything to ensure you are comfortable and that all your needs are taken care of. Seriously this place is like a loud barn and totally not a relaxing salon. We felt like cattle going from one place to another and way too many people. Adults keep your darn kids at home!! 99 percent of us dont want to hear them. Two friends ended up with toe infections. So all this hype is not accurate. Price is too high and do you really think your water was free.... n quality sucks, fills started chipping off. Learn English why is that so hard? Is it pretty sure it is but I would say you cant tell plastic glass from real glass if you think that lol looks are deceiving ladies and so is sterilized items. I attended this place with a friend to get a fill and a nail design that I had a picture of on Sunday the 22nd . We had an appointment at 4p.m, she got sat at 4:15 then I got sat at 4:35ish. I was still waiting, they offered me wine which was since and I waited 10 mins for them to start, as my technician was telling me colors she kept asking me if $40 was of for gel nail. It make it seem like she thought I didn't have the money to be there which confused me a bit but I kept reassuring her that that was a perfect price and couldn't be happier. It goes down hill from here, the technician was buffing out my nail and cut my pinkie and both thumb (pinkie is now infected) she didn't acknowledge the blood until I asked twice for tissue to clean it off. My nail design looks nothing like that I showered her and the gel look all cracked and old looking on it. The color is pretty and the shop was very clean which I liked but maybe I had a technician who had a off day so that's why I'm not putting 1 star, but it really left a bad impression on me and costing me more money to fix my nail that looks like random pebbles. read more

I am a regular at this location and my usual beauty regimen includes nails (gel mani and full set), spa pedicure, and an occasional eyebrow waxing. I can't recall ever being unhappy or not satisfied with the services Oscar's has provided. Their consistent quality and attention to detail has made me a regular over the years. We had 5 girls all getting various spa services done (nails, NexGen, pedicures, etc). Even though it was a crowded Saturday afternoon they were very accommodating and were able to get us grouped together. Great experience for everyone. 2 days later my daughter split her nail all the way down playing basketball... we stopped by the salon to have it fixed. I won't go anywhere else! Not only do they do a great job, they are extremely attentive and great with their customers. They offer water, cokes, wine, etc. I've done gel nails for years there and have loved it. I recently started to do Nexgen (sp?) and love it even MORE! They offer a huge variety in both options. I've been coming here every other week for a pedicure for a few years now. There's always a friendly greeting when I come in the door from day one. Everything is really clean, the chairs have been upgraded at least twice since I started coming. They're very sanitary which I really like since I got a fungus once from another place (so hard to get rid of ). I use Ly at the moment, I like to stay with the same person so they know what pedicure I like. She is gentle, and does a slow relaxing massage unlike some others. My toes always look so great and the polish stays for the full 2 weeks with no chipping. I highly recommend you come give it a try! read more

Came for a soak off on my nexgen nails for a regular gel manicure to give my nails a break. The lady was speaking in Vietnamese to another nail tech about how my nails were so thin. I then asked if I should do nexgen instead (my nails were not applied with any product yet) since she was saying that. I'm fluent in Vietnamese, but I played along as if I didn't understand anything. She started complaining in Vietnamese to the other nail technician about how she was already almost done with my nails and I wanted to change things at the last minute. The other nail technician asked if she wanted her to persuade me into staying with gel manicure. At that point I just told her it was fine because they made it such a big deal, and my nail tech then began to say (in Vietnamese) "good because I was too lazy to get everything anyways." That probably explains why she didn't bother buffering my nails before application nor using cuticle oil before trimming my cuticles. She soaked my hand in water for 5 minutes and starting trimming deeply, causing multiple cuts :/ Such a shame, this place was becoming my new favorite place too. read more

They start talking in their language and look at the other nail techs and start laughing. Like they were gossiping about one another. Not professional at all. They talk more to one another and every once in a while you're asked "you ok" or do you want to add another service. A lot of nail salons do the same thing. I went here for the first time as a drop in a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon. They were pretty packed, but I was in no hurry, so I waited. The young lady that did my nails (Gel on natural nail) was very fast. The facility is very clean and I was impressed. I plan to return again this week - with an appointment. This is the only place I do my nails in Rowlett.. I recently moved further out and I still make the trek. This place is spotless,and they are meticulous. I always leave extremely satisfied. They take their time, and do a very good job. Prices are reasonable and they are always willing to fix mistakes and they take your concerns into accounts. I have walked in the next day because of a chip and they have fixed it for me. Their customer service is top notch. Love this place!!
