I'm pretty sure I've been going to Oscar's for 15 years...minus the 6 years I lived in Austin and man, oh man I loved coming home for the burritos! Carne Guisada is my favorite...and the chips (which are free with salsa if you go inside to dine)...The owner is there most days, usually at the drive-thru. He's very friendly and the staff is great. The restaurant isn't shiny and new but it suffices for a quick meal. read more

Second time here. Really enjoyed it both times. This saturday morning the drive thru line was out the parking lot and down the street for an entire block. We came inside, skeptical of a long wait, since plenty of people were eating inside too, but our burritos were brought to our table in less than 10 minutes. Chile verde burrito is definitely tasty - large chunks of tender pork, but chilis are a little too mild. Oscars salsa is pretty good too. read more

I've been going to Oscar's for years, and even thinking about them makes me hungry. Their giant soft drinks are a much needed caffeine jolt, and their breakfast burritos are very good quality. I especially love the potato, egg and cheese breakfast burrito covered in lots of hot salsa. What it lacks in healthiness it makes up for in deliciousness. Like Chris said in his review, the place lacks atmosphere. The lines are usually horrendous, and the parking lot crowded. It would be wonderful if they could afford to move to a new location, but it is what it is. read more

Don't get me wrong... My super burrito was delicious, but I've had better. When ordering the super breakfast burrito I was expecting loads of chorizo bacon potatoes and eggs... Sadly, didn't receive this. The tortilla was wonderful and the fillings were quality but I was hoping for something bigger and meatier. I'll still return. read more

The service here is horrible. I went to get a breakfast burrito, there was hardly any one there and there were two people behind the counter. Neither one acknowledged that I was there. I stood there for 5 minutes in front of the counter, they were to busy watching the morning news, so I just walked out. I don't recommend this place to no one. Might be a good place for high school kids who don't any better though. read more

Ok let me start off by saying that this restaurant needs a huuuuge remodel. The drive through makes me feel like I'm in Juarez because it's all very primitive and sad. The speaker barely works and the person on the intercom makes ME feel guilty for not being fluent in spanish?? Also, a huge minus, the prices aren't on the menu, so when I pull around to get my food, the only way I can tell how much my burritos were is by getting the change. (By the way, 2 breakfast burritos are $7.something. RIDICULOUS) I understand the location isn't the best, but does that mean the restaurant has to reflect that? The burritos were delicious, I mean DELICIOUS, but the atmosphere is depressing. It's an alright place for high schoolers, but when I pick up food or dine-in, I like to enjoy the experience. The very few times I've ordered here, always get chorizo and egg. Deciding for something different, for lunch today I ordered an asado burrito, a chili relleno burrito and 2 orders of french fries. Let's start with the chili relleno- it WAS NOT anywhere close to a good burrito. First, it wasn't stuffed. It looked like half a green chilli barely coated with the crust, COLD ground beef on top, and on top of that, shredded cheddar cheese. The asado meat was tough/dry and I guess to make up for flavor, they used a TON of salt. Second, the French fries were cooked in a oil that had been obviously used for different foods because I tasted too many flavors in that one fry I consumed. Just picking that one fry out of the bag left so much oil residue on my fingers just meant that the oil wasn't even properly heated through first and excess oil had been absorbed into the food. Yuck. I also find it suspicious that I don't get a receipt back. Why cant consumers get to see exactly what they're charged for? Especially after paying for a meal that was $17! Nope, no way am I ever going back. read more

Thought I found a great place. I liked the breakfast burritos a lot and would eat there every Sunday morning as part of a routine. Unfortunately, I found a cooked fly in my burrito, with wings and everything. I'm too grossed out to go back. I just cannot accept that would ever happen even accidentally. I've tried the asado with bean, brisket with potato, the Super Max (with a frozen, preformed, hamburger patty) burritos and their salsa - and *all* were so salty I couldn't finish them. They provided 2 salt packets per burrito, so there is an obvious theme going on here. Their only saving grace was the tortillas. I went at 6 PM and there was only 1 group of 5 teenagers eating inside. read more

Tried this place out today after seeing good reviews and was very disappointed. Menu is very cluttered and hard to read with multiple menus with different things. Every open table was dirty and each table we tried was wobbly and we ended up picking the least wobbly one. Apparently you have to get ur own chips and salsa and your own refills behind the main counter where the lady is making customers orders and collecting money. Very awkward to say the least. We waited over 20 minutes for our order of 4 burritos. The burritos was ok but not worth the wait or review level. I got a potato/egg/chorizo/cheese breakfast burrito and the potatoes were all broken up,mashed up,flavorless mess. The egg and chorizo we 95% egg lol Staff is to "busy" to smile or say hi and the food,staff,restaurant,everything was off.I will never go here again waste of time not worth the hype at all. read more

Very good. Try the Super Mexican Burger it's really good. Actually everything I've had here is good. Only complaint is I wish it was a little cleaner. Friendly staff and owner. Can't go wrong here, I'm sure not everyone agrees but in my opinion great place. read more
