Haven't ever had a bad experience here, plus the horchata they have is amazing and generally every thing is good EXCEPT the churros they aren't that good but your first thought isn't to get sweets there I hope not. It is hard to get something new especially if you like something in particular its hard to switch it up but I see no complain here gets packed around lunch time and dinner time. My husband and I met a friend here for lunch last week. I love Mexican food, so I couldn't wait to go. I was not disappointed! Our friend suggested we arrive as close to 11:30 as possible, as it gets busy quickly. And he was right! I ordered the chips and salsa for the table and I had two chicken tacos. The salsa was amazing! I loved it. And the chips were good, too. The tacos were pretty good, too. They give you a lot of chicken and a generous portion of guacamole on top. saw the great reviews on yelp and gave it a try. i would describe this between taco bell and an authentic taco shop but HEAVILY towards taco bell. Got the Steak, Tator, and Cheese Burrito and there was no cheese! I talked to counter person about it. I Told her that their was no cheese in the burrito and that I had eaten it all, figuring to run into cheese. its not bad for a place in tennessee, however it still doesnt match up to the kind of mexican food i have living in orange county, california. the tacos are average tasting but larger than their average socal brethren. the carnitas taco was quite tasty, it was very juicy, marinated, but i could still taste pork which was nice. i tried the carne asada taco and the chicken taco and they arent anything to write home about. the tacos i ordered were actually my girlfriends while i had ordered a carne asada burrito. the burrito was just ok, they need to work on the carne asada as i felt it didnt really have that much flavor. but my biggest gripe with this place is that they did not have horchata. how can you call yourself a mexican food restaurant if you do not serve horchata. for that matter i did not see any other agua frescas either. read more

This place is awesome: quick food, great prices. My favorite things are the fish and shrimp tacos. Make sure that you add some of their delicious red sauce. They also give you the green kind if that tickles your fancy. And we can't forget their cooler filled with Mexican sodas and beer. read more

This is my second Oscar's I've visited. The customer service here was actually better than the first one (downtown), but the carne asada fries were wavy thick fries rather than the thin regular ones at the downtown location. Also, I think the downtown location did a better job seasoning the carne asada. On a side note, this place had the pickled carrots/jalapeños like in California which were free. They could be 5/5 if not for the seasoning and fries. read more

We moved to Franklin from Nashville, and The Nations location is what we had been accustomed to. This location is NOTHING like we are used to. Some of the same options are missing from the menu, and even though they will gladly make them for you, sometimes it's cold. Not NEARLY as good as the Nashville location. This is a pretty good cross between fast food and a Mexican restaurant. The fish tacos are pretty awesome and so are the chicken nachos. After going to Oscars several times I can only help to notice that all of their food is very sub-par Mexican. Most of the time when I go there it's because there's nothing else around. Aside from the disappointing food, the staff always seems very irritated and impatient. After about 5 visits anything I ask or even a normal order seems to be an inconvenience for the folks that work there. All of these things create a very undesirable environment and is something to avoided. If you're looking for good Mexican try easy Nashville or even Las Palmas. read more

This local gem serves California style burritos and "street tacos" (grilled meat, pico de gallo, guacamole, fresh cilantro and lime, wrapped in two corn tortillas).
