Beautiful bed and breakfast in the heart of Amish country. The owners are wonderfully friendly hosts who you can enjoy a good conversation with. The breakfast was delicious. Today it was yogurt with fresh strawberries and granola, an egg soufflé with local bacon and hash browns. There was dessert: warm rhubarb coffee cake- everything was delicious, homemade and locally sourced! Our room had an en suite bathroom and it was well stocked with local goats milk soap, and shampoo bar! There is an AC in the room so you can sleep comfortably. Plenty of blankets were provided and the sheets and towels were all nice and clean. Towels were plush. Lots of places outside to just sit and watch the world go by. We saw plenty of local Amish all around and everyone was so friendly to us! Great place to have a get-away and some peace! read more

The innkeepers are very welcoming and knowledgeable. The meals were 5 and the facility was clean and very well appointed. We had to remind ourselves the building was 250+ years old. All guest rooms were in the second and third level which could be challenging for some seniors. We hope to go again! read more

I received great hospitality, a charming private room & bath with a view on the 3rd floor (I stayed in the fireside room), and at the most delicious homemade apple French toast! Our stay was purchased through Expedia where I also put a 5-Star rating. We stayed in the Burgundy Room for a 2-night stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The hosts have two nice sitting rooms, one with a lot of entertainment videos and a documentaries on the Amish. We learned a lot! The Inn Keepers, Pat & Ron Ernst gave us excellent recommendations for where to get morning lattes and where to eat lunch & dinner. We enjoyed Amish cooking and dined with Amish customers without crowds of tourists. Our breakfasts there were delicious and their other guests were nice & friendly. The Osceola Mill House B&B was positively perfect. The house was built in the 1760s. It is beautiful, very clean, in excellent repair, and full of modern amenities. It's way out in the middle of Amish farmland.... you'll see more Amish buggies than cars. It was so neat to hear the clip clop of horse hooves on the pavement from our bedroom window, and see the Amish going about their daily lives all around us. We stayed for two nights in the Fireside room. It was beautiful, and quite comfortable! We had control over the temperature of the room - there is air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a fireplace! The bathroom had a huge claw foot tub. There was a TV with DVD and satellite in the room too, but we never used it. After all, we went there to escape the real world! Ron and Pat were wonderful hosts. They were so welcoming, and we just loved chatting with them! They gave us great recommendations for sightseeing and dinners in town, etc. And of course, their breakfasts were decadent! We were served a wide variety of delicious things.... Baked banana French toast (YUM!), local cantaloupe, an amazing chilled fruit soup, a yummy egg casserole, bacon, sausage, homemade salsa, homemade apple butter, Amish bread.... I could go on and on. If you're still hungry after all that, there's a dessert course! My husband and I shared a slice of death-by-chocolate cake/mousse the first morning, and a slice of blueberry pie the next. It was fabulous! We definitely didn't need lunch! Ron and Pat also arranged for us to go to an Amish family's farm house for dinner one night! That was an unbelievable experience. We walked there - it was about two blocks. We were served one of the most amazing dinners I've ever had! We got to chat with our Amish hosts and learn first hand what their lives are like. It was unforgettable, and so enlightening! After dinner, the girls in the family sang for us in beautiful three part harmony. I purchased a cookbook from the lady of the house with all her old family recipes so I can relive that dinner again and again. The location is one of the most special pieces of this B&B. We were only 10 minutes away from all the touristy stuff, but we felt like we were in another world. We cannot wait to go back. read more

My favorite thing in the world to do is sit on the front lawn of this beautiful 1766 mill house, watch the sun set over the Amish farms, listen to the horse & buggies go by, then watch the fireflies rise. Sooooo peaceful and picturesque. Then there's Ron's amazing 3-course breakfasts, which are matched only by his entertaining stories. Pat's gardens are gorgeous and we always feel at home here. The house is romantic in any season and steeped in history. Ideally located to see historical sites, do some genealogy, or run down to Philadelphia for the day. read more

Had a lovely weekend stay in the cottage in the back. Loved the atmosphere, the resident cow and cats were lovely at night. I loved hearing the carriages going up and down the road. In the evening was beautiful. Great location, the proprietors were lovely! only issue I had was in the shower, it was hand held, and you couldn't really stand to Bathe, and not that this is in their control but it is soft water so that was difficult. Otherwise a wonderful stay definitely would go again read more

The first time we stayed was by accident found it on line, we found Ron and Pat to be wonderful host. Ron a former teacher alway reverts back to teaching at breakfast you learn about the area or the Amish or Mennonites every stay. Pat will share her knowledge of the area as well. and is Proud of Her decorating skills. I have lost track of how many times we have stayed there. Last week end we were the only guest so we checked out the Christmas decorations in every room. All diferent and all wonderful. It is the first time we have seen all the rooms. You learn about Mud sales, restruants quilts firehouse suppers at breakfast and ice cream stops at a wonderful breakfast. I love the wide plank floors and comfortable beds. We like to see where a road goes, a perfect locations to wander the area from, When I call for a restoration I always ask what is this event like. I get their review. Every thing on display has a little story behind it! We look forward to our next trip! I hope Ron does not correct my grammar or spelling! read more
