One of the girls was giving me a pedicure and Anna (the owner) was giving me a manicure at the same time. The girl was scraping the dead skin off my foot and wasn't paying attention and scraped the side of my foot. Realizing what she'd done, she immediately dropped my foot in the water to hide the cut, which stung so fcking bad. I pulled my foot out of the water and blood was gushing out. Anna said something to her in Vietnamese and the girl ran to grab ointment and bandages. I'm not impressed that she didn't acknowledge her mistake right away, but I didn't make a fuss. The girl was so embarrassed, she didn't look at me for the rest of the time so Anna ended up taking my payment. It's surprising that she charged me full price and I'm an idiot for tipping on top of that. This was 2 months ago and I wasn't going to bother writing about this, but that cut is now a scar, which I'm not happy about. I will never go back there, if I had a health condition this could've ended even worse.

They will text you the check in procedure -- call to let them know you have arrived and remain in your car till the nail technician is ready for you. What about those who do not drive? And I saw other customers who came in later who definitely did not call ahead to announce their arrival. Street parking is available though it can be tricky to get a spot during popular hours. Capacity has been halved as only alternate station is used and they are fitted with plexiglass. They should not be using the first station near the door as it was next to the nail polish display case. I could tell the customer in that chair was uncomfortable when I had to go to the case to pick out the color. And I was told to go pick out what I wanted. Definitely no social distancing for that. They did a double booking when I was there and the other client had to come back at a later time. This was quite the fastest pedicure I ever had. It was done in 20-30 minutes. As it was winter and cold out there and I did not manage to get "Rock star" parking aka right in front of the shop, I did not want to wear my flip flops out. So I waited for another 15 minutes for the nails to dry. Another thing to note was how the purpose of mask wearing was defeated when the nail tech pulled down her mask to blow on my toes to dry them faster. I was stunned but just prayed for the best. I also did not like the fact there was a $1 service charge added to the bill when it was not stated anywhere in the price list etc. Be upfront about all charges so customers can make informed decisions. Maybe it was due to covid, but there was no toe separator being used while painting the nails. Other places would use tissue paper wound around the toes instead of the usual sponge separators. While the pedicure itself is ok, I am not sure if I will return again. I have been avoiding nail salons due to covid and this was my first pedicure in about a year and the blowing on my toes really shook me.

One thing I really appreciated was the free underground parking, which is always a big plus. When I walked in, I immediately noticed that the salon was clean, tidy, and well maintained. The overall atmosphere felt comfortable and welcoming. They also offered water or tea when I arrived, which was a nice touch. The nail technician who helped me was very friendly and professional. The gel removal was quick and efficient--it took less than 30 minutes. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would definitely come back to try their manicure or pedicure services in the future.

I would recommend their nail bar as deserving of 4.5 stars review for good customer service,…read morecomfortable environment with natural lighting, nice chilled vibes, underground parkade, online booking system, and overall clean & modern decor. Not 5 stars yet as I am still observing the quality of their nail polish in terms of how long it last and if it's healthy for my nails. For their pedicure service, they provide all the right elements including big screen tv, foot massage, skin exfoliation, comfy chair, warm foot bath, coffee/tea, clean salon tools, lots of nail polish color options, gentle and patient nail technicians, plus it's reasonably priced with no fear of non-transparent price list that's possible at small shady nail salons with no reputation. Overall, its online booking system, free parking, nail technicians in uniforms, extra promotions available all add to the positive nail salon experience at this Station Square location. Nail technicians that I have met and recommend: Krista, An, and Tina. Call and ask Kyle over the phone if you have questions about whom to book for your desired services as each person will likely have their own speciality in terms of nail art design etc. I like Almond Nail Bar for having many nail technicians, makes it convenient to book same or next day appointments. It's awesome when nail salon can be walk-in friendly with minimal wait times and still keep up good quality in their work and customer service.

I have been following her from her previous Salon and I will not go anywhere else!! wherever Rose goes I'm going. I always go over the top with my designs and she is absolutely fantastic if you're ever looking for nail designs or 3-D work she is your go to girl.!!! here is just an example of some work that Rose has done!! if I can give her 100 stars I would

The girls the accommodated me and my 8 yr old, and the girl stayed after closing for me. My nails w were awesome! One wierd thing I noticed was the first girl started my nails and then in the middle abruptly got up and switched to another girl- no warning or explanation. Strange but ok. The day before yesterday I went for the second time. I went as a walk in, and the girl seemed a bit off from the beginning. Why I'm giving three stars is because I'm happy with the nails, the attitude I got was not ok. She seemed bitchy and at one point she was pointing out that she had to change my mail as the last person did it crooked, she said. I know my mail is slightly cracked and I didn't notice anything the last time- then she held up my finger to show me. When I didn't understand and asked for clarity she got all pissy and said something in her language which in sure was very derogate, right there in front of me! I felt so uncomfortable and upset about it. A bit shocked, even. I let it go but it's still bothering me so I hope this communicates . I paid a lot and tipped too. I'll be going back though , hoping for the best and I'm happy with my nails.

I reached out to Alisha and from the moment I messaged her, to meeting her, and through our follow-up conversations, I've felt incredibly comfortable and cared for. Alisha took the time to answer my questions and reassure me since I was initially a little nervous and hesitant. The brow appointment took 4 hours since she is newer, but I was appreciative of her attention to detail and her dedication to making my eyebrows look perfect. Alisha would keep finding small things or details about my eyebrows that she wanted to fix or make even more symmetrical. I am so impressed and thankful for her work. I've had several compliments on my unhealed & darker eyebrows already and I can't wait to see what my eyebrows look like when they're fully healed! Thanks Alisha!

I don't have enough words to express how much I love Meraki…read more I have been coming to Meraki for lash extensions since November 2018 (when they were still at their Kingsway location) and since then, I refuse to go anywhere else. Their new studio on Burlington is absolutely gorgeous. It's spacious, girly, and cozy. On top of lash services, they offer brow and nail services as well. I've been seeing Jess since day 1 and she is fantastic. I always do a volume set and since I've been seeing her for so long now, she knows the length, style, and amount of volume that I like to a tee. I've never been disappointed by a set from her. My lashes usually last 3-4 weeks (sometimes 5 weeks) before I need to get a fill, which says a lot because in the past my lashes never lasted more than 2 weeks from other studios. One of my favourite things about Meraki (besides walking away with gorgeous fluffy lashes) is the family atmosphere. All the technicians are so talented, friendly, and funny. There is always good music playing in the background, which is a plus when you're laying there for 2 hours. I genuinely enjoy coming to get my lashes done because I find it extremely therapeutic. I mean, you get good music, great conversation, fluffy lashes, and potentially a nap while you're there? Win win, in my opinion. Since coming to Meraki, I constantly get compliments on my lashes and I'll always send them here. For as long as I'm in Vancouver, Meraki will be my go-to lash spot.
