I have been taking my four kids here for the past two years and I am now looking for a new Pediatrician. Initially, the reason why I chose his office was because I wanted a Doctor my kids could grow old with. Unfortunately, this is not it. As a mother of four kids who two of which had disabilities such as autism and ostomy care for majority of this time mind you, and on top of that a mother who just finished her nursing degree... I can have a very busy schedule. With this being said, they will send you letters telling you they are withdrawing as your pediatrician if you miss appointments. At first, I was understanding of course, but then it got to a point where they would want follow ups and because I knew their policy I would ask to wait to schedule follow ups but I am not sure if the office made appointments for me or if they sent me another letter to withdrawal just because I never scheduled the follow up? Either way after the first time this happened I wrote a letter and asked them to reconsider but I am now realizing it's only matter of time before it was going to happen regardless. Who wants to build a relationship with pediatricians like this anyways. Pros, they are knowledgeable Doctors. If you do not have a busy schedule or multiple kids then yes, I would recommend. Cons, they lack heart. It feels like patients are just a paycheck and they will drop you at any second. So if you have a busy schedule then I would not recommend this provider. The only reason I continue to come here is for Dr Noelle Cerdan, the most nicest and sweetest DNP. This office is awesome, a little out dated but I think paper records are so much better than electronic tbh. I also love that they can try to to squeeze you in for same day appointment if your child is sick, I just leave them a message at night or an hour before the open and they call me back asap. Dr Cerdan that shy and kind personality she took the time to answer all my questions without feeling rushed at all. Another time was when I forgot to ask her during our visit what vitamin she wanted my baby to take --- she called me personally when she had the time to tell me herself and a bonus she had the front staff sent a picture of the vitamin she discuss with me to my email so it didn't confuse me , thank you Dr Cerdan , if it weren't for her I'd be going somewhere else, if she leaves here I'd be following her to wherever she goes bc that's how much I trust her ! I highly recommended anyone to see her if you are looking for a provider to establish care with for your baby. read more

I just had my son and was looking for a pediatrician that would be affordable without insurance. I came across Oshiro Pediatrics and had emailed them my new patient information where then I was called within the hour in regards to my email, I was impressed with the promptness and was able to schedule for the following day. Dr. Oshiro was amazing, he was kind and genuinely listened to me and my concerns, I felt very well taken care of and that the health of my child was top priority! I have known Dr. Oshiro for 26 years before Oshiro pediatrics. He is a great pediatrician, I have always appreciated the clear explanations for everything that is on going with either one of my children. My youngest is 1 and has had to get appointments set up with other specialists. I see PNP Cerdan for his appointments, and she is wonderful as well. When I was having difficulty getting sooner appointments, the front office as well as PNP Cerdan have contacted the specialists to get me in sooner. They also call me back or leave a voicemail to keep me updated. I appreciate the time they take to keep me updated and the efforts made to get my son in to see the other specialists. I wasted my time emailing answers to their anal questions off their website, including vaccine records, and checked that they were accepting new patients on MY insurance website all to be called back to be told that they are "too busy" and NOT accepting new patients. I asked how long have they not been accepting new patients and she said it goes on and off. Sounds completely arbitrary to me like they pick and choose patients. Based on what? I couldn't tell you. Good luck getting a hold of them. I called twice and was met with a voicemail that wouldn't allow me to leave a message. So I went online and found the email addressed associated with their office. I emailed them with all the details they asked in regards to being a new client. I sent info on both of my children. After 2 days of no response, I sent a follow up email asking if anyone planned to get back to me. Someone kindly responded and apologized and told me they would get back to me shortly. i had called to change my kids peditrician they said they were accepting new patients and she had to send the documents to the doctor so he can review our insurance and see if he wanted to accept my kids in so many words, so I received a text not a call stating he had too many patients he couldn't accept my kids, why would they say they're accepting new patients if they weren't ? I also called them to see why and she had me on hold for more than 10 minutes while she i guess went to talk to the doctor Nevada is so weird I never had issues in CA I'm really starting to dislike it out here I never heard of a pedistricts not taking a patient due to certain insurances even though they accept the insurance they still won't accept the patient also the dentist the same way kids can be in pain can't be seen for treatment for months which is ridiculous to me....... read more

I was referred to this doctor from my obgyn for my 5th child. I took it upon myself to transfer all my 4 kids over. I've been with this doctor for 3 years and of all the visit I've only had him see my kids 4 times. I would always request for PNP Cerdan. She was the only one who shows she cares about my kids health and makes eye contact and always has a smile. If it wasn't for her I would of never gone to this place. This doctor Andrew Oshiro has been by far the worst Pediatric Doctor I have ever had. Who BANS a patient because of being late a couple of times? We live 45mins away from this office and it's not easy to get there without having to deal with traffic. This is beyond anything I have ever heard of. Let's be honest. 99% of doctors that accept Medicaid/Amerigroup are...frustrating. But Oshiro Pediatrics is great. The facility is pretty run down and covered with different colored printed out pages of rules and warnings about keeping your appointment, payment, etc. I would imagine that they probably deal with a lot of inconsiderate clients, thus the need for the warnings. It's just slightly off-putting. Doctor Oshiro is great. Easy to talk to, he remembers who you are, and takes the time to listen to your concerns. I've been to SO many pediatricians that are just a revolving door for their clients. They don't remember you, you're just a chart. They get you out as quickly as possible. If I could, I would give this place NO STARS. On my vacation trip to Vegas, my 2 year old daughter got sick with a high fever because of an infection so it was an emergency and this was the first place that popped up because we didnt know the area at all. The staff on the very left side of the counter there said I wasn't allowed in. I WASN'T ALLOWED IN?! They had to check if the doctor would even approve me to been seen. I waited OVER 2 HOURS and still no one called me in. I had to WAIT OUTSIDE WITH A 2 YEAR OLD BABY WITH A HIGH FEVER & INFECTION. WHAT KIND OF PEDIATRICS IS THIS IF MY 2 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HAS TO WAIT OUTSIDE THE OFFICE WITH A HIGH FEVER & INFECTION WITH NO RESPONSE FROM STAFF?! I couldn't wait anymore so my wife and I called another Pediatric around the area. Even though the other pediatric center told me that their doctor wasn't in, they still reccommened me to go to the ER. THIS PLACE HOWEVER, NOT a single response from staff or a reccomendation to go to another place. It is now July 8th 2014, even though I'm not in Vegas anymore, I still have NOT received any calls about anything yet. How long do they expect me to wait outside the office with an infection & high fevered baby? The only reason I came to this place was because of Yelp reviews but now that I came in person, I WASN'T helped AT ALL. I saw people come in and out of the office for those who came in AFTER me. The ER that I went to after, took only 30 mins to completely help my baby daughter. Now's she finally healthy again but NO THANKS TO THIS PLACE THAT DID NOTHING AT ALL TO HELP HER. Both of my kids have been going to Dr. Oshiro since they were infants. He is outstanding -- he truly cares about his patients and takes the time to answer any questions that you may have about your child's health. We have always had short wait times (just arrive to your appointment on time!) and no issues getting appointments on short notice (usually with PNP Cerdan, who is always great). I wanted to write about how much I loved taking my son to Oshiro and how much we miss them!!! I almost wish we hadn't moved. The office is LOVELY to bring your kids to because they've taken the time to make sure there are lots of books, play areas, and the patient rooms are all decorated. You have to be on your toes about being on time and keeping all your appointments BUT this meant that our appointments were always on time! Sometimes if we arrived early we were even seen early - they really know how to run a busy office like this. We saw Dr Oshiro first and then ended up with Noelle Cerdan. She is extremely lovely, knowledgeable, and able to put both you and your kids at ease. My son really loved her! We didn't see Dr Oshiro as much but he is also very knowledgeable and sent us to a specialist "just in case" and caught an issue very early that could have led to problems later in his life. Another thing I always appreciated about this office is that they are great communicators. The website has a lot of information on it, they can answer e-mails if you forgot your appointment, the phones almost always go to a person, and most of the time they will even take the time to remind you of an appointment. I also loved the handouts that they would give to us at each checkup telling us about what shots were being given and all kinds of great parenting tips. Dr. Oshiro takes a lot of different types of Insurance and he even takes medicaid - so take advantage because this is a great place to go! read more

This has been my son's doctors office since he was 3 days old....and will absolutely be his doctor as long as humanly possible!!!!! So very prompt... we barely use the waiting room!!!!! This by itself is unheard of for doctors, but this office has it nailed on time management. And yet, the doctors always have plenty of time and patience to answer all questions thoroughly. They helped my son when he was discovered to have formula allergies, and stayed on the phone with me when he was very very ill late at night. I don't care where I move to in this town, I will drive 1 1/2 hours if I have to one way just to keep this primary care doctor. All are amazing, but my favorite is Dr. Oshiro, because of his fun personality and bedside manner. Super friendly and courteous, yet very professional staff. They keep their commitments too! I am a mother of 4 and my oldest is already 28 years old, I start with this to say I have a little bit of experience in being a mom and obtaining as well as maintaining care for my kids. I have read the reviews herein and feel I can be objective in my opinions. I do agree that the front desk can use additional training and tools for better performance, however, I shared with the office my suggestions and did not keep them to myself, as I want them to succeed as a business in order to continue to have access to the incredible medical staff that works here. This is one of the very few offices, in my experience as a mom, across 3 states, where you are treated as a person with valid questions and concerns. Everyone that comes in contact with your child is not only knowledgeable and thorough, but patient and personable. The first time I went I was rushing through my questions, had the kids half dressed when they came in, so as to save them time and get the most of my time with them, only to be encountered with a calm, not rushed, medical professional that took the time to review their chart, speak to the kids (go figure!), examine them throughly and make going forward plans, order tests and schedule follow up visits. I realize that we live in a time where patience is truly a virtue, however, open communication goes a long way in ensuring you receive the best care for your children and, to be honest, the front desk does not affect my children's care, the medically trained professionals do. As far as the parents that mentioned distance, Las Vegas is a valley and although I live across town from their office, I would not entrust my most precious responsibilities to the "corner doc". read more

I wish I had nothing but good things to say about this place like the other reviews however, my experience was not at all convenient and strictly about the staff rather than the actual Dr. I found this place on yelp and because of all the good reviews, I was super excited to find a good place that I could take my kids to since we moved from California. I called Tuesday morning, I told the receptionist I needed to make a new appointment for a new patient and she transferred me to a voicemail (didn't even ask me to hold or even tell me she was transferring me she just transferred) I left a voice mail and got a call the following day. The woman I spoke with "Maria" had very little to no sense of humor. Definitely not a people person, she takes my son's name, date of birth and insurance info and says she sees his insurance is active but will call me back to set up the appointment. She calls me back at the end of the day and leaves a voicemail saying "I can't schedule your son because we are too busy" ummmmmm really? Wow!!!!where are these people's work ethics? How about "there's a waiting list" or "I'm sorry for the inconvenience " or even "I'll hold on to your information and let you know as soon as something is available " definitely not what I was expecting. read more

P.A. Ward is the best. He's so wonderful with my newborn son. He listens to my concerns and offers explanations and advice, he does thorough exams with every visit, and he makes sure to not stress my son out too much. He's very compassionate. He also always returns my calls. I stumbled upon this office and was skeptical at first but couldn't be more pleased with P.A. Ward. They could definitely use a larger office to accommodate all the families that are in this small office at once. I often can't find a place to sit or even stand amongst all of the other parents, children, car seats and strollers. Very tight quarters in here. The staff are not over the top friendly but they certainly aren't rude. They use a lot of sanitizer in here and I'd like to see more sink and soap use but they have ALWAYS been able to squeeze me in same day and as a first time mom, I've requested same day visits several times. My son is 2 months old now and he's been coming here since his very first doctor appointment. I have no plans to find a new pediatrician for my baby boy. Very pleased. read more

Let me start off my saying that I don't even recall whom these people are that allegedly checked out my baby after giving birth in March of 2013, so my review is not in regards to their bedside manner & care. I received a call from a Collection Agency, May 2017, in regards to an 88$ bill from this Pediatric's Office from March of 2013?!?! Just as surprised as I am considering I don't even know whom they are. Nonetheless, I am a person that always pays their bills, and on time. I have NEVER been sent a Collection Agency before. So I went ahead and tried to figure out what was going on. The Collection Agency proceeded to give me the information for this office to whom my file came from. The phone rang about 20 times, nobody picked up. I called back about 5 minutes later, nobody answered again, this was not on a lunch break either. The following day I finally got someone on the phone at their front desk who explained to me the billing department wasn't in. But they took my name and number and told me to expect a call between 8AM-1PM the following day. Of course they didn't call me.... These people want money from me, but I can't get ahold of them. I called again the next day, and finally got someone in the billing department. I believe the ladies name was Deb. I explained my situation, I told her I wasn't sure why I owed them money, but the dates provided to me were when my baby was born, so I would just like to see an invoice of what it is I owe them. Once again, I have never heard from these people before. They have never tried to contact me. She told me she couldn't provide any information for me, and I owed them money and to deal with the collection agency. WOW! I am supposed to pay someone, whom I don't know, have never heard from before, who cannot provide me an invoice? (: This is truly upsetting to me as a person. Who has FLAWLESS credit and has never missed a payment on anything in my life. This lady claims that there was a service done for me while in the hospital, and my Anthem Blue Cross/ Blue Shield PPO plan said that I was responsible for paying 88$ of this bill. She said she sent out an invoice to me in September of 2013. (Never got one) I even went back as far to pull out my 2013 paperwork filed with my taxes to confirm. (I file everything.) Then she proceeds to tell me they put out a phone call to me in December of 2013 and my phone number was out of service. (I have had the same phone number for just shy of 10 years, it has never been out of service, & funny that I confirmed with her that I was calling her from that number as we speak. (May 2017). & This is the number that they provided to the Collection Agency to get ahold of me, and that lady got me on the first try.... I always answer my phone, even numbers I don't know. So to make an even longer story longer, I have now learned that this company provided a service for me while I gave birth to my son in the hospital, My PPO insurance didn't cover it all, they SAY they sent a letter out to me in Sept. of 2013, and they SAY they called me in Dec. of 2013. and yesterday, May 2017 they sent me to collections. Yet I have no recollection of any of this. Nor can they prove this, because I've asked. This story is not about the 88$ these people want. That is not the issue. They could have contacted me, sent me an invoice, given me a phone call, instead I get nothing, and then 4 years later they decide to send me to collections. I have had to spend a lot more than 88$ to hire legal this week to address this issue. It is not about the money. These people claim I owe them money from 4 years ago, have never contacted me in regards to this issue, and have sent me to collections. THAT is the issue. I have never in my life had to post a review as such. :( Just completely disappointed in how these people went about this, and in the end, it is going to cost me so much more money to fight this. I tried to call them for answers, and they arrogantly gave me nothing. :( read more

Dr. Ward if I'm not misspelling his name, was pleasant, I dealt with Dr. Oshiro once, only because I had to, but it was very unpleasant, specially since he is supposed to be THE most attentive, you'd expect since he is OSHIRO, any who, he was very CONDESCENDING, any of the questions I had, he was almost mocking what I would ask, I was very unpleased with his mannerism. As for the front desk, I again feel the unprofessionalism, the girls there always in this dread mode, I get it, "sometimes" we all have those days, but EVERYTIME is stepped in there, they are just unpleasant ENVIROMENT all around. Personally I wouldn't go back. The front desk is nothing, compared to the expectation you would have from THE MAIN PEDIATRICIAN there, that alone, I would not go back. Thank you. read more
