Decent teas for someone who doesn't drink coffee. Plenty of seating, and you can sit yourself down for as long as you want.

All I've had is their iced coffee, but I LOVE IT and I made the trip to Williamsburg from Flushing almost entirely to curb my craving. Buy a coffee and then spend the rest of the afternoon walking around browsing the many vintage shops/bookstores/what-have-you while peeping all the yuppies/hipsters around you. read more

I only had a free espresso to celebrate the new year, but I thought they pulled a great shot and really showed off their default roast (I didn't check what they call it). My girlfriend had a capp, and so with no complaints from her I'm going to give them a solid four, because I definitely wasn't blown away. Their small shop is warm and inviting though, and the barista and cashier were both very pleasant. I'll need to come back to buy beans at some point. read more

The coffee is great - smooth flavor and good roast. Usually have the ice coffee and have tried refresher lemonade which is really good too!

Their Odin blend is to die for. Strong. Nutty. I don't live in Williamsburg anymore and drive way out of my way to get my fix when I run out of beans. Yum. read more

This is my first tried and true Williamsburg coffee stop. I love getting my black coffees and soy lattes there, reading my daily posted astrology reading as I wait (because I'm a fancy lady like that). Great pastries from Dun Well (I think for their donuts), Blue Sky (muffins) and I don't know where the croissants come from... Also I don't understand what all the complaints about the service is on here. But I am a cute hipster girl so what do I know. I am also one of those crazy people who like this place doesn't have WiFi. (When I want it, I go to The Blue Stove). Good study place when I don't want to get into an internet khole. Cons: patrons who don't know how to close the front door! Honestly, if I sit and hang out there for an hour - especially on the weekend - one in five customers don't seem to understand that the door does not have spring back and they - yes, they! - have to shut the door with their own hand. This leads to slightly ajar door drafts all the time. This has gotten to the point where I'm like, sadly, we need some homer simpson level signage up here. No cup sleeves. I understand not all hot drinks need it but those that do (i.e. black coffee) require you to be 'that guy' who asked for an additional cup. read more

This is the best coffee in Williamsburg. I like the coffee at Atlas and at Grumpy's in Greenpoint, but OSLO just seems a slight cut above those two. Plus one of the baristas is a metal chick and she commented on my Jesu t-shirt. Rock on! read more

oslo americanos, aggressively milked, is the #1 thing i miss about williamsburg. best.coffee.around. j.d. and co, are gems. yesss cream cheese muffins. almond croissants. i think even my dog misses that tree in that box he'd get tied to every morning. a great neighborhood coffee spot that's not kidding around, doesn't care about pandering to idiots, and has integrity as a coffee shop, and a community member. read more

Great coffee but insufferable attitude. I must have walked out of here on three different occasions after being ignored by staff for more than 5 minutes. Not worth the effort when there's plenty of friendlier alternatives who actually want your business. The Oslo Coffee on south side of Bedford is usually much better. read more

This small chain of Scandinavian coffee shops almost lost it's biggest café in a roaring fire recently. Thankfully the beloved neighborhood gem was spared and is still churning out it's signature espressos and fresh baked pastries. The cash only café doesn't have wifi but that only adds to the charm of the large, communal space. With less people looking down, the chances for socializing and the exchanges of ideas can pick up. read more

(I frequent the Roebling and Bedford spots) I regularly get cappucinos, hot coffee, cold brew, and their coffee beans and they all taste great. Even though there are two locations, it's always impossible getting in here in the morning and, for me, it's just not as convenient as Gimme. As others have noted, the coffee here is in fact good. It's just that I am the kind of person who goes to a coffee shop to sit and read or chat for a good 30 or 40 minutes with my beverage of choice. There is not much atmosphere to speak of. Bland interior, no effective air conditioning and a lack of character make you wonder why you aren't enjoying a beverage of a different sort on the beautiful patio of a certain establishment down the street. Still, if you are the kind of person who just wants to grab something to go or take some beans home with you, this is the place for you. The product is legit. read more

Employees are generally rude, there are no electricity outlets for customer use, and the bathroom door lock has been broken each time I've been there. A/C usually on full blast dripping water over the entrance while all doors and windows are open. Coffee decent, nice tables, would be a great place to hang out if their attitude was less shitty. read more

I personally don't drink coffee, so i can't speak from experience. I do know though that my owners walk me there everyday after my morning you-know-what. They tell me that it's the best coffee in all of new york city. I guess i don't have any reason not to believe them. I live in Clinton Hill and i regularly take a 15 minute ride over to Oslo so i can have their Coffee. Great artisanal coffee with great flavor. Employees/barista are very friendly. Decor is cool. Make sure you bring cash, i wish they would accept CC. No WiFi either. read more

Really unprofessional scene today: witnessed someone with a service dog have to provide their guide dog paperwork to a paranoid barista. Rest of the customers watched uncomfortably as disabled person fought for their right to not provide paperwork unless asked to be a law enforcement officer. It was embarrassing for the person in question and onlookers. Completely turned me off this coffeeshop. read more

Well, I haven't had their coffee, because I often bring my computer to coffee shops. When a cafe purposely doesn't allow you to plug in your computer so you can't stay & use their internet or continue to purchase items (& tip!) & think it's funny when you ask them (pretentious baristas - get over working in Williamsburg!) the obvious message is 'you're welcome to enjoy our beverages, you're just not welcome to stay.' i became a big fan of oslo over the summer because of their iced coffee and air conditioned space. the only thing that would make it better is if they had wireless, which i find a bit weird considering most places have it these days. there's always plenty of seating available and the coffee is consistently good and not expensive. read more

Although I have friends who rank it highly, Oslo just doesn't make it into the NYC coffee elite in my opinion. Most importantly, the coffee isn't great. The espresso is not even consistently good, much less great. While I like that it's spacious, there's something awkward about it. Part of it is that there are often babies around. That's not a bad thing and, for some folks that is obviously a good thing, but it does make it less of a "working" coffee place for me. I'd rather walk to El Beit or Grumpy (or even Gimme) personally. read more
