Great spot for a weekday caffeine break Recently stopped by this Blue Bottle location in Williamsburg for the first time on a weekday afternoon. The space is large, bright, and clean, with plenty of seating--perfect for working or relaxing. Lots of people were on laptops, and thankfully, the music wasn't blasting (a huge plus for a coffee shop). There was no line, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful in answering questions. I ordered the Shakerato, one of their iced NOLA-style coffee drinks, which comes with oat milk by default--a welcome dairy-free option. It was a little sweet, but super refreshing and perfect for a summer day. Blue Bottle is definitely on the pricier side, but it's a nice treat now and then. read more

I came here recently with a friend to cowork. There was plenty of seating, even on 11am on a Monday. There is no pre-made drip coffee, so I ordered a pour-over. At nearly $6 (as of Jan '26), it was a bit on the expensive side. The coffee itself was fine, but Blue Bottle is a huge chain and it was really nothing special. Not a bad spot to get work done if other cafes are full. read more

I like Blue Bottle Coffee but it's been a while since since I visited the Williamsburg location. It's a big bright open space and has a lot of staff working who don't do much. The coffee is good once you can grab someone's attention to take your order and make it for you. However when we went the area where you get sugar etc was in desperate need of of a tidy and restock - no spoons or glasses - and when I asked for them the staff were super slow at getting them. *let me look on various cupboards once I finally put down my phone, and I'll stop and chat with my coworkers before getting back to the customers*. The toilet also needed a refresh - no toilet paper and generally grubby. This could be a good spot but there needs to be a manager here to oversee the staff, service and general cleanliness. This was my first time here. Coffee was regular, nothing special to it, just pricey like any other coffee shops nowadays. My coffee was ready in a normal amount of time, but the staff work worked there just didn't seem happy and didnt even smile.. The place was nice and clean though, spacious and seems like a good spot to drink your coffee and work a little on the laptop. read more

Very tasty coffee!!! I tried their cold brew canned coffee and knew it tasted really rich so I decided to step into this coffee parlor and knew it was the right thing to do. I ordered a caffe latte and the aroma was rich. You can taste the quality of the roasted coffee beans! It tastes so good. I will stop by again to order other drinks! This place is very cute when you step in it. They have free WiFi for anyone who needs to use it. Also got nice tables and a lot of seating. Also there is a pick up area if you order online and lots of merchandise by Blue Bottle Coffee for anyone to buy. read more

Friendly staff. Open space for working on laptops. Got the pour over hot coffee. Loved it. The barista took his time and took pride in making each cup. Also tried a small almond flour raspberry treat which paired well with the coffee. Grab a cup and sit on a bench overlooking the bridge for a relaxing Sunday morning. read more

Food (5/5): Got the iced sweet latte with oat milk for $7. It was nice they didn't charge extra for the non-lactose option. It tasted very smooth. Service (5/5): Quick and friendly service. The food is sooo bad its like reheated frozen food but they charge restaurant prices. Worse than mcdonalds. Go to a bodega and you'll get the same options, but made fresh for $5. Also the wifi doesn't work at any blue bottle location, but you'll pay for your coffee and sit down to find that out after. read more

Service is mixed depending on when you go. But also I just can't get over how bad the wifi is. Look the coffee is fine, but in 2024 I think we can expect better speeds than 1mbps. read more

Hojicha Latte is Discontinued. :( If you're staying inside, after you tell the cashier, they'd give you a mug. For now, In May, outside seatings are available. I've attached the photo! Bathroom is available, please ask the Code at the cashier. Around 11:30am, it's not crowded at all. A but after around 12:30pm, inside seats get full. My favorite coffee! Honestly, it's ridiculously expensive (more than comparable shops) but so so delicious. I love that their drinks automatically come with oat milk now! despite it being a late Thursday morning and relatively empty it took the baristas forever to make a simple iced latte - which would be totally fine if it was a masterpiece. it was not. paid an over $8 bucks for lightly coffee-flavored milk with a sprinkle of melting ice chunks on top served in a hot cup. it reminded me of something i would make myself at a hotel buffet when desperate for caffeine. the interior while pretty and spacious, had dirty stained seat cushions and the floor under my table was full of dog hair. also shocked that a place like this only had two milk alternative options - oat and almond i believe. you're better off going another of the dozen coffee places nearby or even starbucks read more

THEY NEVER HAVE Califia ALMOND MILK. I've gone numerous times, and they always say the same thing..we ran out. It's either that or their homemade almond milk..that looks like breast milk..eww...and has this weird/sour taste. It's awful. I don't get it..evey other blue bottle I've gone to always has that brand of almond milk. One time one of the batistas told me it's because they are a bigger location implying they go through it faster. That's bull! The locations in the city are always very busy and must go through I don't know how many in a day. This is ridiculous! MANAGER of this location take note and do something about it. I've also heard people on line complain about the same thing. read more

This was a nice place, so spacious and beautiful. There were lots of choices of coffee and an artisan approach of creating drinks. I thought it was a bit strange the iced drinks were being served in the same cups as hot ones, especially since there was ice involved. It was a little sad the cup was so tiny because the NOLA style iced coffee was amazing. I will definitely have it again, but next tie it will be in the largest cup they sell. I'm gonna be honest, I found this place to be super overrated. I know it's New York, but dang these prices are nuts. I would be willing to overlook if the coffee ended up being amazing, but it wasn't. I got the smallest sized iced coffee and it was $6 after tax. It was good but nothing special. The lattes and specialty drinks were even more than that. There was nowhere to sit so I had to take my drink elsewhere. Also, the baristas weren't very friendly. I splurge for Starbucks often, but this place was not it. I only recommend if you're looking to spot celebrities, I later saw an A list celeb was there the same day as me. read more

I absolutely love blue bottle, but I never come here enough! I have an evening workout class nearby and was in search of a place with WiFi to do some work as I had some time. Blue bottle came out of nowhere and I immediately went in. As usual, I got their New Orleans style iced coffee, absolutely delicious and sweet. I normally get my coffee black but knew I had to treat myself! And of course, I saw the delicious cookies behind the counter and picked up one of those as well. I came in around 6pm so it was very quiet which was perfect for doing work. I'm sure this is not the case during peak hours, but the place is so clean and bright, I wouldn't mind doing work here then either. The place is so clean and the workers are so nice. My coffee was delicious and I enjoyed the hour and half break I had before my class! read more

For some reason the coffee I had here was way better than the location in Tokyo. The barista gave me great recommendations for the take-home coffee. While here I got a cappuccino (nothing fancy) but I enjoyed it. Also, this is a great place to work on your laptop or meet up with friends. read more

* I am not comparing with other blue bottle locations. (because this is the only one I visited) * Nice coffee. Latte art was beautiful. It tasted better than the ones they sell at whole foods market. But I think it could've been better. The atmosphere is okay. Not too quiet but not too loud either. Not many outlets and only one unisex bathroom so there's always wait for the bathroom. read more

We've come here a bunch of times and their New Orleans coffee is the best. It's definitely a treat and not something you can have too much of. I tried their regular cold brew and was less impressed and it's definitely on the pricey side of coffee options in the neighborhood. It is a beautiful space and the pastries are also delicious so I'd say generally worth the extra couple of dollars. But for real, get the New Orleans iced coffee. read more

Ok, so I had a blind date here on Friday afternoon with a woman from Norway. Customer Service = 10 Coffee = 10 As a Chicagoan, being around coffee chains for more than thirty year's...,I think I know what's worth $5 for a Latté. Spacious location, not too loud. Not a diverse location with 95% White Americans...,however it is Williamsburg, and the coffee was superb! The attention to detail was fascinating to observe in the creation of coffee. Gorgeous new-ish location of upscale coffee chain Blue Bottle. It's spacious, airy, and modern, and seating was easy to come by despite the crowds. Lots of young parents and tech-y looking dudes, befitting Williamsburg's completed gentrification. The acoustics aren't doing it any favors, as it's all concrete, wood, and hard surfaces, but there was good music playing at a reasonable volume which ended up smoothing the sound situation out. I would only hang out here if you like a bit of noise in the background. It's also not the coziest, as most if not all seating is wood, but worked well enough for a coffee break. I tried the cascara fizz ($4ish) for a change, which was refreshing though very strongly lemony. Service good. Bathroom big and clean, though there's a wait as there's only one. My main complaint is that they did not appear to have working wifi as there was no network even close to being named Blue Bottle, and the wifi from neighboring businesses wasn't strong enough to latch onto reliably. Blessing in disguise to be forced to read instead, though. read more

Really cool space, but utterly useless if you're a dine in customer and want to sit down when it's busy. So much wasted floor space that could be utilized better with more seating. The wait was too long, considering they had one doing shots and one doing milk. The girl spinning milk was the slow point. I've never seen milk spun so haphazardly. Apart from overheating it to screaming hot, every time she tapped the jug on the bench, milk was flying up and out. Messy and so unnecessary. I had a cortardo and a latte dine in... she spun 2 separate jugs of milk for 2 cups? It's the same milk, split your jug! No wonder the wait was so long. The girl on shots seemed to be the only one doing their job well. Good extraction, shame the milk ruined the drink. Overpriced and slightly obnoxious. Probably wouldn't return. read more

Great tasting coffee, terrible presentation (I took one sip so actual art was disturbed but the cup came like this!!!!) bent. Open. It looks half chewed. The bathrooms were a mess. The door had paper signs all over it and nothing else professional looking, I thought it was a soft opening or something. Lots of space inside though. Seems like a great place to focus. Music is rock and roll but non intrusive. read more

The interior itself is antique, quaint, and there's minimal (but some!) seating for you to enjoy your tea at. One of my favorite parts of this shop is that their tea menu is all around the shop, right on their walls. So, you walk around the shop, look at the different teas (organized by type, caffinated/non-caffinated), smell them, and read the labels. I had a lot of fun doing this! Their prices are good and their teas are amazing. Definitely a cool experience!

I ordered an iced matcha einspanner ($6.95) with oat milk ($0.75) and loved that it already comes with a shot of espresso, so it was essentially a dirty matcha einspanner. I tried each layer on its own before mixing everything together and it was all really good. The matcha cream is the right amount of sweet and creamy and you can taste the matcha with just a hint of coffee. Since I'm a coffee fiend I added a bit more espresso when I got back to the hotel and it tasted even better while still keeping the matcha as the dominant flavor. Next time I would ask for less ice since it was freezing that morning, but on a warmer day the ice level would be perfect. Would love to come back to try their other drinks or order the einspanner again as a hot drink.

I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
