Did not expect this high-quality Italian food on our first pass through Hiawassee, but this place is as good as it gets. Pricey. Got out, with drinks and tip, for $160 bucks for two. We were under-dressed but it was Labor Day weekend and nowhere else had space for us. Wait staff were all gracious and no one mentioned it. No pics of the food, because it just didn't feel like the place for that. Decor was nice, sound was a good volume, staff were friendly. In the Hiawassee area and celebrating something big, don't miss this place...but make sure your wallet and attire are up to the task. You won't regret this meal. read more

What an amazing new restaurant in Hiawassee. Everything was top notch. Service, food, ambiance, new & very clean with modern feel but not stuffy at all. We were a party of 4. Our server Josiah was on the ball. He knew the menu, the wines. Everything he suggested was on point. Two of us had the special which was Mediterranean Sea Bass stuffed raviolis in a decadent lemon sauce, not your typical berre blanc. Then a cherry tomatoconfit. It was awesome, I could have drank the sauce. This was a special but I'd love to see it on the menu. Two in our party had the rack of lamb, perfectly cooked. I had a bite & I don't care for lamb, but it was amazing. It came with carrots & some delicious scalloped potatoes. We had tiramisu, it was exceptional. Also had calamari appetizer, also delicious. If they can keep up the fresh ingredients & service, it will be an awesome addition to this little tourist town. Hope to go back again before we go home. Oh p.s. they have some very nice Italian wines & everyone we encountered was wonderful. It's a bit pricey but worth it. read more

We stretch our drive to this newly open place. We usually visit one of Blue Ridge restaurant. We love Food, service and atmosphere! All of stuff is very attentive. This was our first visit to this little town since we took scenic route. Drive was very pleasant. We will go back! read more

Should have and could have been the 100.00 per person experience we read about and hoped for. All the meats were tough, dry and overcooked, sort of like eating jerky. All the risotto dishes where undercooked. Although I appreciate that most of the foods was soy and allergy free, the reality is it is overrated, overpriced. Staff was friendly, knowledgable but for the most part missing once the food came out. We will go back and try it again and hopefully it was just an off night. From where I sat it looked like they gave more attention to presentation on the plate than the quality of what was on the plate. read more

The food and service here is excellent and somewhat akin to what we have experienced in Italy itself. Some of the restaurant patrons were noisier than I would have liked but that is probably just a sign of folks enjoying themselves. You may want to try the patio if you prefer a quieter dining experience. read more

Service was very good. Restaurant was quite loud and it was only half full. My Lasagna portion was large, but unbelievable dry. Seemed to have no sauce between the layers. Prices were on the high side for a small town. Very put off by the deposit to make a reservation. Too many other great Italian restaurants in the area to mess with the deposit again!! read more

Went for a birthday celebration. Food was extremely bland I thought italian food had garlic. Zero hint of garlic including oil/bread basket. Come on guys put some flavor in your food we shouldn't have to ask for salt and pepper. Check your portions as well my friend and I each ordered lasagne when our plates arrived mine was half the size of his did you not notice this in the kitchen when you plated it up. A wonderful experience at Osteria Da Ferraro! The food is authentic Italian and so delicious!! They also have an extensive wine list. We started with Arancino Siciliano, Greek salad, and Le Mie Polpette. The salad is large and definitely shareable. For our entrees, we had the Ossobucco, Mushroom Risotto, Fettuccine Al Cinghiale, and Lasagna. Every dish was absolutely wonderful! Our server, Josiah, was attentive, but not intrusive, and very knowledgeable about the menu options. The whole staff was friendly and professional. We're thrilled to have this wonderful restaurant in Hiawassee. We'll definitely be dining here on a regular basis. read more

Good food and service was top notch. Joshia was our server and he handed all our questions easily. He knows the menu well and makes great suggestions. Frankly we were somewhat surprised by the elegance of this dining delight. It's right off Main Street in Hiawassee and unless you were looking for it you wouldn't know it was there. Parking is around the corner and initially you walk down a covered sidewalk but just before you reach the front door, the cover ends and you have about 20 feet or so of uncovered sidewalk to traverse before reaching front door. There is no foyer, so you immediately enter the restaurant with the bar on the left and tables on your right. It is indeed noisy and also expensive. But you get a fine dining experience with delicious food. We each had a small glass of wine and an entree and our bill was $84 before tip? We enjoyed it.. but definitely a special occasion place for our budget! read more
