Loved the vibe here, from the lovely decor to the excellent service, it made us feel like we escaped to the coast of Italy. Had a family dinner here and they always had our drinks on deck and water glasses filled. Honestly for a busy Friday night, they were amazing!!! We had a party of 9, everyone loved their food, anything with truffle is def a recommendation and the tiramisu is a must!!!

Arrived to the restaurant with a reservation at 845 and it was very busy. Beautiful elegant and cozy interior and cute outdoor area. The woman that sat us handed my daughter and I menus and said "for the lady", and handed my very pretty but short haired wife a menu and said nothing. An awkward interaction at best. Next our server came and took our orders and served some delicious warm bread with olive oil and vinegar. The food: Salmon dinner: son said the salmon was tender and flavorful and the veggies were tasty. The potatoes arrived a bit cold. Linguini with clams: my order and everyone at the table snagged a few bites. It was very flavorful with a great presentation. A slightly small portion. Cesar salad with chicken: wife's order. Salad was fine but the chicken was dry. Caciao a pepe (I think) table side pasta dish with pasta tossed in a big cheese wheel with burrata cheese and truffles. This dish was $$$$ and expectations were high. Unfortunately the pasta was VERY COLD and the truffle flavor was completely overwhelming. After about ten minutes we finally got our server's attention and he brought the dish back to the kitchen to reheat. I like truffles to the point where I get truffle fries whenever I can, and have a bottle of truffle oil at home that I use regularly, however, this was a pretty intolerable level of truffle flavor. We left with the dish, mostly uneaten. Besides the food, we ordered three Shirley Temples and one glass of Pinot Grigio. Our total bill was around $280. I had high expectations but for the price point we left feeling very disappointed.

Everything was so good! We had a party for a birthday dinner and they accepted us last minute. All of the pasta was awesome. I got the special Alfredo truffle and I added shrimp and it was bussin! The inside of the restaurant truly gave Italian air outside vibes but we were inside. The drinks were on point I got a Hugo spritz and then took home a tiramisu.

Osteria Positano was the perfect spot for our bachelorette dinner in Miami. We had a reservation for nine girls and from start to finish, the experience was amazing. They seated us upstairs, which felt private and ideal for a lively group with such a great setup. We shared a bunch of appetizers, including a huge meat platter with steak, lobster, mashed potatoes, and veggies, plus a tartare and an octopus dish. Everything was absolutely delicious and perfect for sharing. For my main, I ordered the carbonara and wow it had incredible flavor. It was definitely rich and heavy, but 100% worth it, especially with all that bacon . Drinks were great, service was fast and attentive, and the energy was fun without feeling chaotic. They also performed "Single Ladies" for the bride with a free cannoli , which made the night even more special and unforgettable. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing vibes. Highly recommend, especially for celebrations.

Loved the intimate dining experience, excellent Italian food, and great service here at Osteria Positano. Of the many dishes we tried as a group, the standout for me was the Prime Beef Carpaccio and the Terra E Mare special plate. The carpaccio was so tender and flavorful, and the Terre E Mare was a trio of proteins including steak, lobster, and octopus. It's described as being portioned for 2 people, but our group of 9 was able to share plenty of bites as an accompaniment to our entrees. The octopus particularly impressed me with how tender and flavorful it was. They didn't hold back on the presentation either: it's dramatically presented on a platter with two sets of flames, which our group loved. For my entree I opted for the classic pasta carbonara because I had heard it was authentic here. While I have no personal experience to verify the authenticity, the pasta was perfectly al dente and delicious- I would order this again. The service was excellent throughout the meal. When the staff heard that we were here to celebrate a bachelorette, they went above and beyond to play 'Single Ladies' on the restaurant speakers and served the bride a cannoli with sparklers. We were already having a good time, but this definitely made the night even more memorable. The only thing I didn't like was when a photographer came up to us and started taking our photos without our consent. They didn't introduce themselves but they seemed to be affiliated with the restaurant? They gave us a complimentary postcard photo, which was nice, but then started to show us the prints to try and sell them to us. I wonder what they'll do with the prints we didn't buy. It felt very Las Vegas Strip tourist trappy, which left a significant damper on an otherwise wonderful restaurant ambiance. - Ambiance: 3/5 (5/5 if not for the photographer) - Food: 4.5/5 - Service: 5/5

We came here for a quick late lunch spot as we were driving through and it was raining. We didn't need a reservation and they sat us right away. The restaurant is large and very clean. It seems it's attached to a hotel. The pasta was amazing. I wish I could have tried more things on the menu.

Found this place on Yelp, and it was by far one of the best places we ate at in Miami. Starting strong with the ambiance, it is both cute on the outside and inside. It feels like Positano! The staff was great, the general manager sat us, introduced himself and shared the menu. Juan our server was super friendly and attentive. Now on to the good stuff! We started the meal with their fresh bread and oil/vinegar. For appetizers we had the meatballs, they had great flavor and the sauce was delicious. For dinner I had the vodka pasta, I substituted the penne for rigatoni (recommended by our waiter) and added burrata. It was super yummy. My bf had the salmon, he said it had great flavor and was cooked to perfection with a crispy skin. This place was a 10/10 and would highly recommend.

Let me start by getting something out of the way... THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING! We came for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. I'm so glad we did. Pedro was an incredible server. He was attentive, matched our sense of humor, was extremely accommodating, and gave us amazing recommendations. The restaurant is beautiful and while some Halloween decorations were up, the place looks and feels like you are in a restaurant in the Amalfi Coast. Now the food. If I could give it more stars, I would. We started with the cured meat and cheese board. The prosciutto was excellent, mortadella and coppa were also of very high quality. The cheeses were also amazing! We then shared the soup, which was a cream of zucchini and was made with ricotta, it was delicious! My wife ordered the Linguine alle vongole (clams) it was spectacular. I ordered the Special Rigatoni Carbonara and OMG, it was a dish to remember. It was done the traditional, and the proper way of making carbonara (guanciale, Pecorino Romano and black pepper in a creamy egg yolk sauce). What made it special was adding fresh truffle and a burrata. I say it again, OMG! Incredible dish. We were already full, but due to the special occasion we sacrificed and got dessert. The pistachio gelato, made in house from scratch... it was so good. It's definitely a dessert to share between 3-4 people, but we are professionals and took it down between the two of us. We also had an Amaro Montenegro as an after dinner cordial. It was very smooth and much lighter than what I'm used to with the Amaro di Capo. What an amazing meal and experience. This was our first time but will return. Definitely a memorable time. And thank you Pedro for the fantastic service! See you soon!

Simply Amazing! We've seen the Italian restaurant Positano on our trips to Miami Beach and now we decided to try it. It was a smart move even on a recent rainy Monday night. The restaurant was surprisingly crowded but that did not slow down the gracious greeting by the Hostess nor the service. As a starter, we decided to share Calamari & Shrimp which was delicious and not the run of the mill which now seem ubiquitous in so many places. Well served. As our entree, my wife chose the Pasta Casio e Pepe with Truffle while I ordered the Pasta Ragu which is basically beef with pasta and tomato sauce served with cheese fondue. Very flavorful. We both had a glass of Malbec to accompany the meal. No room for the tempting desserts..this time! Positano's decor is tastefully retro and classy and our server German and the staff is well synchronized to make this a proper dining experience. The restaurant is situated inside the historic Art Deco 1939 Marlin Hotel on Collins Avenue. Tutto Bene, we'll be back.

Go for Italian while in Miami. And visit this place! Service is very friendly. Our waiter Juan had excellent recommendations and prepared 2 dishes "table side preparation" with attention to detail and great explanations. Hostess and all staff were equally friendly and helpful. Ambience is somewhat relaxed. You can have a nice date or enjoy time with the family. There is an outdoor patio so you can people watch in Collins av. You can also enjoy some A/C inside. On to the food. Top notch home made pasta. Best was the Special Alfredo pasta w Vodka and Truffle (table side prep). Seafood linguine and Special Linguine Scoglio were very tasty, with generous portions of seafood and excellent pasta. We will be back to try the Tiramisu! Also, great wine selection and creative cocktails!

We were whisked inside to the intimate, dimly lit interior with a DJ table tastefully tucked away in the back of the space. Service was welcoming but overall, not quite as warm and attentive as I've experienced at other places in town. We started off with the Turkish Manti Dumplings, which were the standout of the night. The complexity yet restraint of flavor, balancing indescribable buttery, roasted, earthy notes with a touch of umami and subtle tanginess from the yogurt. The Mezze Sampler was a nice option for trying three of the dips. All very tasty, but I've had slightly better elsewhere. The Sweet Jeweled rice was the other standout with flavor and textural variety that made each bite pop. I found the Roasted Brussels Sprouts undercooked and lacking the same level of flavor as the other plates. The weakest dish of the evening. The Grilled Whole Bronzino got top marks from the meat eaters at the table. Overall, 4/5 stars for a delicious meal but with tough competition around town limiting my ability to hit that 5.

They certainly weren't cut fresh from a spit, as they were old and nearly tasteless. The included slices of onion and peppers, delegated to the pita bottom, (instead of intermingling) barely helped. The French fries (included in the price) were the most flavorful part of the meal; although, they were an insult, rather than accompaniment to the experience. And, was that Latin (instead of traditional Greek) music coming from the speakers? Along with a 20% "Administrative" fee, I won't be tempted to venture in again.
