Went with a friend for dinner. Restaurant located in a hotel and it was a bit confusing on where the host stand was. We looked at the menu online and it looked like a nice restaurant with decent reviews. When we were sat we were very confused if it was the same place as the printed menus were very tacky. We started with the Jumbo Crab Cake which was very good! I wouldn't call it jumbo but it was a small starter to split with two. I had the Grilled Mahi Mahi which was good. The lemon wedge added a lot of flavor otherwise dish was pretty bland. Fish tasted good!

Went to dinner here with my family who were in town and was alert a bit underwhelmed. Rich across from the beach, attached to a hotel is a nice location with nice views and people watching. The menu options were really good as are the drink menu options. However the service isn't the best. The staff was not attentive for it to have not been nearly a crowded evening. The calamari was overcooked and rubbery, my lobster also overcooked and dry, steak was more medium well than medium, the tomahawk came out rare so we sent that one back to be cooked about longer. Nothing was seasoned too well. We used sauces to add to as much as possible. Overall a lot of room for improvement.

This restaurant is located outside the Beacon Hotel. They have a nice big menu to choose from and they give tourists 15 percent towards meals on your bill. Service was impeccable. They made our food gredh to order and it was hot. The food was very good. I ordered lemon pepper chicken wings and my mom ordered a lobster meal. This was my first time eating their dinner because I had only eaten their breakfast in the past on vacation. Parking sucks. But if you ride the bus or trolley it's easy.,

Great outdoor location, pretty setting, and good service. Unfortunately, the food was not good: the pizza crust was terrible, the salmon overcooked and drenched in sugary sauce. The music was also excessively loud.

We wanted to enjoy a late evening meal, right along Ocean Ave. in South Beach and enjoy the sunset and ambience. Eating al fresco in Miami is the way to go. Our service was decent, food good and atmosphere the best part. The fruiti de mar with lobster was a solid choice, the noodles were a nice al dente and the grilled lobster was done nicely. The carajillo was not the best I've had, actually a bit lack luster in taste. It may have been a sign when they asked how to make it, simple, liquor 43 and espresso. Not stellar and not great, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed by the overall experience and be prepared to shell out some $$$ for your meal and drinks. Overall, a first trip to Miami, you may feel it is worth it, but if you're a traveler and have experienced other cuisine, you may feel this was "Ok".

The food was really good. I had the spicy shrimp scampi. The service was great. Eating here at night for dinner on ocean drive created an unforgettable ambiance. My friends really enjoyed their dishes as well.

Everything was top notch. The meal was delicious and the portion was big! We will be back.

    Sangria was amazing

I was pleasantly surprised by Osteria del Mar! The sangria was great, the pasta was solid, and the view of the palm trees added to the experience. Given that South Beach is full of tourist traps, I didn't expect to find such a genuine spot with good food and atmosphere.

A great spot to enjoy the weather, the people, food, and excellent atmosphere. I ordered the fried calamari, bruschetta, and a few drinks...mojitos and martinis! A beautiful Cuban waitress suggested some great drinks! Their service was very good!

So my very high level of anticipation may certainly be partially to blame for my average-ish experience. I was pleasantly surprised to get a table with no wait at ~6:30 on a Wednesday evening. Staff were attentive and friendly. Prices were high, as expected, but at least the pizzas are of reasonable size. The $32 pasta portion probably could've been a bit more generous. But anyway, on to why we're all here - The Pizza: The crust had a great crunch but I felt lacked nuance beyond that, no chew and a touch on the dry side. Cheese and sauce were fine but also unremarkable. The heaps of basil provided some bright freshness that was definitely appreciated. I feel even more compelled now to try the NYC location for comparison! This wasn't a bad pizza by any stretch but not something I would ever pick over my favorite NYC standouts.

Ever since i saw the 2 feet large slice of pizza. I have tried many amazing pizzas from all over Florida. But this is one place I'm been waiting for like I mentioned. Well, I finally was able to make it! I ended up going with my husband and friend. We are from Orlando so that's why it took a bit of time to make it to Miami. Walking in the place seems a bit small. But to me I didn't care much because i was there for the good stuff. So we ordered the pizza flight instead of the 2 feet pizza slice. I thought it would be better. Having more variety for 3 people instead of just one large slice of one kind of pizza. We ended up picking the deep dish slice, the og pepperoni with ricotta cheese, chicken and waffles and the vegetarian slice. The three of us shared the pizza flight. Omg! I am so glad we made the trip! All of the slices were absolutely delicious! Phenomenal! And we ate every bit of it! We definitely were almost struggling to finish the last slice because we were pretty full but we finished it! This is now one of my favorite places! You have made it to Carolyn's top pizza list! Thank you for an excellent experience with one of the most fantabulous pizzas places there is! Until next time! See you guys again!

It was a bakery for many, many years, even after I left Miami Beach, when I'd come visit, I made sure to get a pastelito de carne with an orange juice and then one day; the bakery was gone and Pane e Vino was here in its place. As illogical as it may be, I held resentment towards Pane e Vino because of this. I'd grumble and scowl when I'd walk by until one day I saw a man making fresh pasta at the window. Yes, this piqued my interest. I then looked at the menu, and I saw a lot of wonderful variety, but mostly that their pasta is made fresh so it occurred to me that in this instance perhaps one legendary establishment can become another one in this place, and I decided I needed to give this restaurant a chance. I have some friends who join me often when I go to Miami Beach and so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I'm really glad we had our waitress Pilar steer us in the right direction. I love truffle anything and she highly recommended the truffle arancini. I'm soooo glad we got it, and that was probably one of my favorite things to eat ever. I have never had such creamy polenta in my life. the truffle and cheese in this was enough to almost bring me to tears. This is how great food is done. Even the salad and the simple dressing was amazing, really fresh and delicious. We tried three different pasta dishes, but my favorite without a doubt was the lamb ragu. This dish was everything. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. You know that lamb will sometimes have a gamey flavor? Not this dish. My second favorite pasta dish was the truffle ravioli. It's not like a truffle infused oil or salt they used, its actual shaved truffle, so delicious. The bread, the good quality olive oil, everything was fantastic. Even though my beloved bakery belongs to the past; in its place is now another magnificent establishment that I will look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Miami Beach.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I have no complaints about the service. Unfortunately, the Bolognese pasta I ordered made me extremely sick. My husband had a pizza and was completely fine, but a few hours after my meal I started feeling nauseous and developed severe stomach issues. That night, I ended up in the emergency room and had to receive IV medications. Even after being discharged from the hospital the next morning, the following days of our vacation were ruined because I was still recovering. The financial cost is one thing, but having a vacation you've planned and paid for ruined by a single plate of pasta is incredibly disappointing. The pasta itself was cooked al dente, but I believe the problem was with the sauce. I didn't even enjoy the flavor while I was eating it. I asked for Parmesan to make it taste better, but honestly, I wish I had stopped eating it altogether. I'm sharing this experience in the hope that more attention will be paid to food freshness and kitchen hygiene. When food safety standards slip, people don't just lose money--they lose their health and valuable vacation time as well. I wish I could give zero stars!
