My friend and I were both carrying strollers so it was nice service that the lady up front held the two doors both when we were going in and out. I ended up getting the Maki special this time. It was 3 sushi rolls from the menu, miso soup and salad. They brought out the miso soup and salad together and pretty quickly. I got the salmon jalapeño roll, spicy salmon roll, and shrimp tempura roll. They were all really good quality rolls. I really liked the small pieces the jalapeños were shredded to. My friend and I chatted for a long time and it was nice because the staff wasn't eager to kick us out. read more

I would give this place 6 stars if I could! Fabulous experience and phenomenal sushi. Sushi is considered an art form in Japanese culture because of its presentation, flavor, and texture. It's a culinary art that involves precision, skill, and tradition. This place went above and beyond and blew my mind! The premium sushi selection "taste of maguro" was wonderful. The tuna sampler came out in a dazzling display of fog and fruit and decorations. The otoro basically melted on my tongue. Amazing! The shishito peppers were delicious and had been cooking in a very fine garlic . Ordered uni, salmon belly and okura, Kano chi belly and chives from the premium sushi selection. So good! The spicy blah crab roll was a unique and deliciously simple roll. I think what stood out here was the consistency of the rice. It was tender and chewy and had a great flavor. The edamame was as expected, and the rock shrimp was very tasty, crispy, and tangy, with a little hint of heat. It was lunch time, so I had no intention of going absolutely ham on different sushi rolls but I made sure to try a classic roll and special roll. I went with the spicy salmon roll and the Atlantic City roll. The spicy salmon tasted incredibly fresh paired with a nice spicy mayo and crunch. The Atlantic City roll was the real star. Not only because it tasted delightful, but it was also just gorgeous to look at. Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and chive on the inside, topped with wasabi tobiko glazed in a honey wasabi mayo. Chefs kiss- every layer of this roll shined through. I look forward to ordering sushi here again when I'm having a mid-day hankering at work. read more

It's Wednesday evening and the place is a bit crowded but we didn't think we'd have to wait 45 MINUTES for the first of three sushi boats to arrive! I mean, really!?! Early on, the miso soup was fine and served at the perfect temperature. I also liked the seaweed salad, just spicy enough to get one's attention. House salad came with an irresistible dressing (perhaps ginger miso). Then came the wait...and the wait. The good news: Some of the absolutely best sushi and sashimi I've ever had. Super fresh, beautifully presented, and each piece delicious. We were definitely not expecting to be served on a massive silver, but if you're looking for an attention grabber order the Sushi and Sashimi combo for two. All the sashimi were great selections. The salmon belly was so fatty and the sushi cuts were so tasty as well. The Torch roll is a must try if you are a tuna lover like myself. The also had a great sake selection from low to high end. Very much enjoyed our Thursday night dinner at Osushi Ardmore, PA. It's located on a small row of small businesses but don't let the small facade fool you. The ambience is very modern and chic. We ordered the Paradise Roll and Japanese Beef Fried Rice. I can't eat the Paradise Roll fast enough, it was one of the best rolls I have tried. Wish I had a picture but was too hungry and forgot! After getting take out (DoorDash) a number of times, we finally decided to dine in for dinner. And then for lunch two days later. The friendly and kind service and clean and comfortable ambiance are so inviting. The three roll combo was more than enough for me. I love that Osushi has gluten free options and the staff are aware of the importance to customers. They bring gluten free soy sauce and know the menu well. Strongly recommend the Crispy rice and tuna (spicy). If you're curious, the avocado and peanut (yes peanut) roll is rather good. It's the reason we returned so quickly for lunch! Roasted peanuts seems like an unlikely sushi ingredient, but trust me, it works! I have never seen this on a Japanese menu and now have a go to place for it. . read more

It's called Osushi because it's oh so outstanding! Right around the time the majority of my old reliable sushi spots within the Main Line were starting to feel a little stale is when I first saw the signs of here moving into a spot within the same shopping center as my gym and favorite local beer store. And when I first read about the good reputation of its other NJ location it felt like a breath of fresh air that I was ready to savor! Like most things during Covid-19 times it took longer than anticipated for here to open. But when I gradually saw the renovations ease into a gradual grand opening I was ready to give it a shot. And when I did it exceeded expectations one delicious bite after the next. Not only is Osushi a great sushi spot, but it's also a damn good BYOB which is absolutely perfect given its very close proximity to a wine & spirits store, Lower Merion Beverage, and Iron Hill Brewery. The interior ambiance and service are both very welcoming. the menu also has enough non-sushi options like chicken teriyaki, Chilean seabass, filet mignon, and ALL THE DUMPLINGS to satisfy everyone in your dining party whether they enjoy sushi or not. Favorites of mine include: Osushi Deluxe - The perfect starting pack for sampling their goods since its a sampling of nigiri alongside a helping of spicy tuna roll. Tuna carpaccio - their vibrant tuna lightly seared with a spicy kick of wasabi and a little bit of citrus. There is parking right out front, plus a really large lot across the street. The tofu miso soup was declared "the best" the 15yo ever had. The spicy Kani salad is a great blend of crab meat and cabbage with spicy mayo. Then a topping Panko crunch with a salty roe topped. We split 3 rolls for two and it was more than enough. The crazy tuna roll was the fave. Try the tempura in the OMG roll. The Surf and turf roll is balanced and delicious. The interior is warm with bamboo accents. It was on time and everything packed very well and I love how they have utensils, napkins, and even a toothpick in a nicely packaged little pack. The bento box was well priced and filling. Really solid sushi place. Not crowded on the evening we went with a party of five. The fish wasn't melt-in-your-mouth, but it was fresh and not at all fishy. Flavors on the rolls were pretty well-balanced and tasty. My one complaint is the scallop dish my uncle ordered. He doesn't eat sushi or sashimi, so he ordered the scallops as his dish. It came out after the rest of us had already finished eating the sushi (a realllly long time), and while it was gorgeously plated, the scallops were rubbery, overcooked, and the flavors were weird--the mango and tomato salsa did not work. He let me try a bite and pretended he liked it. Was not worth the money. The rest was good. Just avoid the scallop. read more

Sam Li the owner needs to age and learn diplomacy. The web site says they are BYOB. I arrived and sat at the sushi bar with my wife, opened one bottle of beer only to be told they have a full bar and I was not permitted to drink my beer. The conversation was ugly mostly coming from me, Sam would not waiver. I cannot drink one bottle of beer in an establishment that has a full bar even though they advertise as BYOB. He actually asked me to leave and not return. Okay. He is young. He does not understand. I, my friends and family have patronized his place for a while. He is a young person with no idea about reality.
