Underrated and a hidden gem. Wow. The service is fantastic, as everyone is super attentive, kind and quick. The sushi is the *best* in the area including Center City, and we've tried them all. At this point, we've tried every roll on the menu and all that we need to adventure towards is the omakase - which we're saving for a special occasion. The sushi chefs are knowledgeable masters, and everything is beautiful, fresh, imaginative and tasty. Would suggest eating at the bar so you can get to know them and ask them questions. The value is worth it, as the pricing is generous with the portions. You can't go wrong with ordering anything, really. Their miso soup and beef nagimaki is are personal favorites to start with before exploring the sushi rolls. And it's byob! Go down the strip mall to the beer shop and grab a couple cold ones, and you're all set. Definitely recommend! read more

Truly outstanding meal at Osushi in Ardmore. We got pork dumplings, edamame, miso soup, house salad, oyster, branzino, tuna dumping and the sashmi platter for 2. I always love the dressing they have at Japanese restaurants.... you can't get it in the store and I can't replicate it at home. The tuna dumpings were so delicious but my OH MY GOD moment came when she brought out the sushi platter served on a bridge! All we could think was WOW! Tuna, salmon, yellowtail and a few other kinds of fish we weren't familiar with. I love getting the platters since the sushi chefs choose things for you that you wouldn't think to order yourself. My hubby and I went to Osushi for a last minute date night - we loved the fact that it was a BYOB! We hadn't eaten lunch so we were got there pretty early - around 5:30pm, but the place was already on it's way to jam packed! It looks super small when you walk in, but there's a side/back room with additional seating. We were seated right away and they opened our wine so we could sip & relax while we reviewed the menu. We ended up doing their tuna tower appetizer - it was delicious! The crunchy wontons paired well with the tuna and avocado and it had a perfect amount of spice to start a meal with. We then ordered three rolls - each was equally delicious (we did the OMG, Paradise, and one other). The plating was beautiful, we were very impressed with how appealing to the eye each dish was. We will definitely be headed back here - fresh sushi, great flavors, and awesome service. No complaints here! read more

Just went here last night and it was definitely deserving of their Best of Mainline award. Talk about high quality sushi. From their simpler California Roll, to the specialty Tiger and Crazy rolls, everything was amazing. It's byob and there's a liquor and beer store in the same development! Food came out quickly. Our server, Allen (I believe that's what the receipt said), was a really cool guy and very helpful when it came to trying the Ikura for the first time lol and I think I took some ideas with me based on the decor of the restaurant. First time trying Osushi and it did not disappoint! Came here on a weekday lunch, ordered mostly off of the lunch menu and the portions were very decent. Pad Thai was 10/10 very flavorful, sushi was fresh and the special roll that we ordered was banging! Even the soup and ginger salad was better than most. Really, Really good sushi. Some of the best I've had in a while. Decided to try it out for lunch today, and came away from the experience knowing that this is my new go-to spot in the local area without a doubt if the quality of their lunch sushi is consistent with everything else here.  Generally I find dinner meals better, so if better is on the table, I am soooo in. Ordered a simple sashimi nigiri combo, two pieces of Salmon belly nigiri, and two pieces of tobiko nigiri. Every piece of fish was perfect.  Just perfect.  The Tuna melted in my mouth, the salmon the same - super fresh and wonderful texture - well cut.  The White tuna was fresh and lovely, the other fish were all at that level.  The two pieces of Salmon belly were perfectly scored and lightly torched and the tobiko was higher grade than many places and fresh as well. Even the simple house salad had a different, and clearly house made dressing with a little more creaminess than the regular dressing served everywhere else (although I do like the old ginger dressing, don't get me wrong) and while simple the lettuce was crisp and fresh as was the cucumber...not a spot of red like many places. This was just take out lunch too...so for me to rave is a big statement. I can not wait to have dinner here and try the Omakase Nigrizushi now. Well done O'Sushi! read more

We were here on a very busy Valentines Day night. We were really impressed with the service, food and atmosphere. We were seated immediately when we entered for our reservation time. The waitress couldn't have been nicer. She quickly opened our beer and got glasses for it and brought us water. We started off our meal with miso soup and split a house salad with creamy ginger dressing and a salmon skin salad. I'd never had the salmon skin salad before. It consisted of cooked salmon skin with a slightly spicy sesame seed sauce. It was delicious but very rich. My husband and I agreed that it needed to be mixed with the salad because it was so rich. The restaurant offered a special Valentines sushi dinner, but we decided to go for the sushi/sashimi combo for two. There was more than enough sashimi, nigiri (sushi) and maki (rolls) for the two of us. Highlights included the most moist and flavorful tuna (O-Toro fatty cut bluefin tuna) and salmon sashimi we've ever had. The sushi included yellow tail, tuna, albacore tuna, salmon, sea bass and sea breen. The maki rolls were an avocado and eel roll which had the softest thinness avocado and a spicy tuna roll. You can imagine that we were too full for dessert but we did see that other couples did order it. The atmosphere in the restaurant is beautiful and looks like it was designed and thought out to include the latest materials. The walls were covered in large black tiles that looked like leather. The floor was also tile and the windows were covered in large bamboo poles. There are two rooms. I would request the back room because it's less busy. Overall it was beautiful and it wasn't too loud. I would give it a strong five star rating. We were so happy to find a local Japanese restaurant close to home that has amazing fresh sushi, beautiful atmosphere and great service. read more

Stumbled on this newly opened restaurant on Yelp. My son really wanted to sit down for a good sushi dinner while I was visiting him at college. Got there for an early dinner so not many people. Server was attentive and kept checking on us! Owner stopped by to see how everything was. They've been opened for a week. Inside was nicely done and had a nice ambiance. We both got the Clear Soup to start.. it was delicious and had lots of flavor. Edamame was what you would expect. Sashimi was so fresh and my Beauty Alaskan Roll was so good. My son's Twin Tower Roll was so big that he couldn't finish it and he usually eats a lot! He said one of the best rolls he's ever had. He took the rest back to school for a snack! We ordered delivery and it was delicious. We ordered the rainbow roll, yellowtail roll, salmon and avocado roll, miso soup, and a seaweed salad... all were incredibly fresh and delicious. The rainbow roll has a nice brightness to it, and the fish really shined through in all of the rolls. I was shocked at how good the miso soup was -- so good that my wife (who has never liked a miso soup in her life) kept eating it! The seaweed salad was also great, although the portion was a bit smaller than we'd have preferred. I look forward to trying more of their specialty rolls in the future -- we'll be back! So excited a sushi spot returned to this neighborhood. They completely gutted and renovated the space. It has a great date-night and special occasion atmosphere but pricing makes it accessible for regular visit. We were very impressed by the food.
