Ok so this is my newest go-to sushi spot in South NJ. This is a place you'll appreciate if you love a perfectly sliced fresh sashimi, with amazing variety! The quality of the fish is similar to that of omakase places. Very fresh, never fishy. The wasabi is freshly grated, not a paste you'd get from a take out sushi place. I want to lead by saying the quality and freshness of the sushi here at Osushi is PHENOMENAL! This was not our first time ordering from Osushi but it was our first time dining in. We had dinner reservations at 7pm on a Saturday night and when we arrived (about 6:45) it was very busy. We were seated before our reservation right in front of the sushi bar which was nice as I do enjoy watching sushi chefs at work. Even though the outside of the restaurant may not look like much, they did an incredible job with the design, decor, and lighting. It felt upscale and romantic, a perfect place for us to celebrate our Valentine's dinner. Osushi is also byob which is also a plus as it helps keep the bill down if you choose to have a couple of drinks. We started with Pan-Fried Gyoza, Vegetable Spring Rolls, and Tuna Carpaccio. We enjoyed all 3 and the sauces served with the Gyoza and Spring Rolls were delicious. The Tuna Carpaccio was beautifully presented, as was the sushi, and is a MUST order. Slightly spicy, perfectly seared, quality tuna may just have been the highlight of our meal although everything was delicious. For our entrees we ordered more items to split, and everything we chose didn't disappoint. We ordered the Osushi Deluxe, which consisted of 10 pieces of Nigiri (2 each of the following: tuna, salmon, white tuna, yellow tail, mackerel), a spicy tuna roll, miso soup, and salad. We also picked 3 signature rolls: Salmonshito, Lover's Roll, and Atlantic City Roll. Again, all of the fish was noticeably high quality and fresh, and there wasn't one roll or piece of Nigiri we wouldn't have re-ordered given the opportunity. My 3 favorite entree bites in order were the Mackerel Nigiri, the Salmonshito (the shishito peppers added such a nice, yet unexpected flavor, heat, and texture to the bite), and the Yellowtail. I'll be the first to admit that one of my guilty pleasures are cheaper all-you-can-eat sushi spots. The difference between that and Osushi quality is incomparable. This was hands down some of the best sushi I've had and definitely the best I've had in the area. We both left full for a little over $100 and it was worth every penny. We definitely found a new date night venue when we're craving quality sushi in an intimate atmosphere. read more

The Sushi is decent, the restaurant was clean with nice ambience and service has always been prompt and polite. This is until my wife and I went here with her parents for their anniversary on Saturday evening. We had reserved a table for four people at 7 PM. We sat down, ordered our food . The food arrived promptly, but 15 minutes did not even pass as our waitress started to make it apparent to that we should hurry up, finish our meal and get out. Finally after 40 minutes at the restaurant she just straight out came up to our table and told us to leave as there are a lot of people waiting for a table. We ordered good amount of food with appetizers. We have had a quiet conversation. Mind you there were people at the restaurant that came in before us and were still sitting there as she announced that we were no longer welcome. They put plenty of fish as you can tell in the picture of the nigiri where the fish covers the entire rice. I also got salmon and tuna sashimi and although pricey, they were big. Normally I can eat a sashimi in one bite but I had to take two bites. The service was quick and they made sure our drinks were filled. I got the 2 roll special for lunch today and it was some of the best sushi I've had in a while. The sushi tasted very fresh and they did not skimp on the ingredients. I'm a pretty basic sushi eater, so I got California and a Shrimp Tempura, and both were so good. I'm definitely going to try other sushi here in the future because of how good these two rolls were. After taxes, a $1 processing fee, and a tip, it came to like $18 dollars, which in my opinion is a little high for lunch.... but it was actually worth the price due to how good and fresh it was. I'll gladly pay this again for this quality. I can't speak to the service much since I just did a pickup order, however my order was ready right on time when I went to pick it up. They included utensils and soy sauce in the bag. The inside of the restaurant also looks a lot nicer than the outside portrays. It's very nice inside and I would come here for a dinner sometime. I ordered a ginger ale but that was served in a plastic cup and came out flat and watered down Ordered 5 veg rolls, -tofu & avocado -sweet potato & tofu -mango & avocado -Seaweed salad -asparagus And the bean curd too. Our server specifically told us the rolls come with 8 pcs each so technically we should be getting 40 pcs of sushi besides the bean curd. After a wait of around 10-15 mins the lady comes out with our platter and behold she drops an asparagus sushi piece on the table while placing the platter and saves another one with her hand... The asparagus and seaweed were anyway not 8 pcs each as expected. They were 6 each. And we lost 2 asparagus ones from the 6 too. All we got was a sorry about that. OK!!! As if that wasn't enough, most of the sushi rolls weren't even coated/layered with the rice properly. The picture may or may not be a good judge of that but it was very disappointing. When I pointed it out to her saying is this how they generally do it, having such a thin or barely there rice layer to the sushi she was like sushi always comes with rice..!!! I showed her how the black seaweed was so visible and that's not how it should be... She mumbled something and just walked away. Everything was presented so beautifully. This is an establishment that lives the "you eat with your eyes first" mantra. The Aso Volcano was our favorite, followed by the tartare, the tuna "chips", and the crispy tuna rice. Dang, we ordered a lot of tuna items. We ordered some basic sushi rolls as well, all fresh and beautiful. The soups were wonderful, as was the service. We wished we had room for dessert, but we'll plan accordingly next time. Since it's located in Marlton Crossing, there is tons of parking. And the nearby stores are open late, so you can take a stroll, browse, and burn some calories. If I told you I was dining at a sushi restaurant, located in a strip mall, you would probably think it was a decent take out establishment with average... above average quality sushi. This is a full fledge dining establishment with a decor and atmosphere that makes it very welcoming environment. Second, the food is well above average; I am talking about well above average. I don't pretend to be an experience sushi eater. Matter of fact, you can say that I am pretty much a simple chocolate/ vanilla mix when it comes to sushi. Osushi signature rolls, however will encourage one to step slightly step outside the box with a roll combined with every creature living under the sea, or completely out of the box with a roll mixed with bananas, BANANAS right? Or in my case the Surf and Turf Maki maki. Lobster tempura, and asparagus wrapped together and topped with seared filet mignon. It was good but heavy, especially since we ordered 4 other rolls and 4 pieces of sashimi Dining in, or ordering in, Osushi has consistently delivered quality sushi.
