Welp... second time here in the last 2 months and its time for a review. This is the best quality sushi and sashimi I have had in YEARS! The service was super friendly and courteous... I am not sure if they have Japanese roots but everyone took the time to make our experience and food phenominal, which is a part of the Japanese culture. The actual fish quality and care in preparation with the little additions of yuzu and other spices on the individual pieces were amazing! It was like every piece was served as omakaze. Also, the chef served the highest quality and cuts of fish. This was a second visit for us. I usually do a review after two visits to judge a location and this place exceeded our first visit... I thought the first visit was a fluke because of how good it was. Now I believe they are actually this good.. The locals that live around here have a plethora of places to go to for sushi (we know because we have been to em all), but this place is the Gold Standard in our opinion. We live about 40 minutes away and made the trip here because of what I remember from our last visit. The ambience is cool with tons of pictures of private parties and fun times people have here. I deff want to have them cater a sushi party for us soon! We went here the first to try some place new by searching Yelp.... However, I saw them pop up on either my Instagram or Youtube feed a couple weeks ago. The amount of sushi options on the menu were great. A wide variety of choices with many different flavor options . I got a vegetable roll with sweet potato tempura, cream cheese, avocado and a wasabi mayo. It came with 8 large pieces. WOW. The food was amazing. What we had was the chicken katsu curry that came with a soup/salad (we got the miso soup). This portion was BIG, flavorful and delicious. We got the octopus ball (I forget what they're called) but they were SO GOOD. I forgot to take a picture because i was having such a good time eating. The lobster king roll was also so good. THE BEST THING IS THE CAKE. I got the matcha cake and my boyfriend got the mango cake. So so so so delicious - I've never had anything like that before. read more

Drove out of my way to this sushi place due to the raving reviews. The restaurant itself is nice although accommodating a large party may be a bit challenging. The staff was very nice and it was well decorated. I got a few salmon rolls and udon with beef. The salmon rolls were good but definitely in the smaller side. The udon was absolutely delicious and full of flavor - definitely recommend it. Overall we had a good experience as the restaurant is located in a plaza so parking was not an issue. read more

Went for lunch, got the lunch special, and got three rolls. I got the blue crab roll, spicy salmon roll, and shusito tuna roll. There were 8 pieces of crab roll, 6 (maybe 8 honestly forgot) spicy salmon roll, and 5 shusito roll. The spicy salmon roll was perfectly spicy and still had the salmon taste with a little crunch. The blue crab roll was okay, didn't taste much of the crab but the texture of the crab meat was there! The shusito roll tasted like shusito, forgot the tuna was even there. Service was attentive and polite. The ambiance is nice and dim and you see the sushi chef with all the ingredients right next to you. Overall a really great lunch spot and did I mention that all 3 rolls were only $15?? I was so full after I almost regretted not getting the 2 roll lunch special option instead. What a great find thanks to Yelp! I believe it's pretty new. It was clean and really cute inside. There's a little room that would be great for a small party. You know what was really delicious? The Scallop Cannon appetizer (with tuna). My husband enjoyed their chirashi. I ordered the spicy maki combo (I was so full I couldn't finish it). And my kid loved her spicy lover roll and the spicy yellowtail. But you know what made me love this place? I hadn't chilled my bottle of soju so I just figured I'd add ice from my glass of water. Our server must have noticed and brought me a glass of ice. I realize it prob doesn't sound like a big deal but I love it that he was observant/thoughtful (since I didn't think it was necessary to ask). It's the little things, right? Yu Sushi is a newer Japanese/sushi restaurant they took the place of Grace bistro. The interior is very nice with Japanese artwork. Yu Sushi has a diverse menu and also lunch specials. We had a Bento box and also tempura shrimp over rice. We thought the quality of food was quite good and the prices were reasonable. We will definitely be back to try some other items and their sushi. I hope that this restaurant can have success, as the staff was very friendly and helpful. The competition in the Asian restaurant selection in our area has become pretty fierce and voluminous. I've been wanting to try Yu Sushi since it just opened recently and finally did last night. We placed an online order that was ready within 15 minutes! The hostess who checked us out once we got there was friendly and inviting. We ordered 4 rolls considering of spicy tuna, Philly, mango avocado, and salmon mango. It felt like I was due for a sushi night so we gave this place in Marlton, NJ a try, plus it's a byob! I ordered sashimi a la carte and a special roll on the side with shrimp tempura and eel. I've been to this sushi place twice for take out. Both times, the service was quick and courteous. I recently ordered their crazy tuna roll and really enjoyed their honey wasabi and the different flavors. The prices are reasonable and comparable to the surrounding area. Ok so I got take out and I am writing as I eat .... Crab/Kani Salad- decent, missing some flavor but still good. A little fishy? Not sure what is up with that, also had a brown piece of lettuce in with it. For being open not even a month definitely feel like this was overlooked! Still good as I said and I still ate it all. Dance Eel Roll- so the description said fried eel inside but it definitely isn't. The roll is fried but not the eel. I got it with avocado and not cream cheese though. Still good, not too spicy good combo of spicy and sweet. Marlton Roll- would be a great combo if every piece I picked up didn't fall apart lol. Really the only thing that ruined it for me. All the flavor was good. Overall would I go here again? Maybe??? If I was in the area and there wasn't any other options sushi wise then yes. Pricing seemed overly high as well 2 special rolls and a crab salad was $38?? Kinda wild. I can get 6 times this at sushi kingdom for that price. Gotta say I'm definitely not overjoyed. First time ordering from Yu Sushi. I always like to give new businesses a try. I placed a pick up order for Japanese spring rolls, shrimp mango sushi and chicken tempura sushi. Also clear soup and shrimp teriyaki. I was told ready in 20 minutes. When my husband went to pick it up, they said they didn't have our order. Needless to say that we were not happy. But they did apologize and my husband waited while they prepared it. The food was very good and we did get a discount for the inconvenience . My husband did say that it looks very nice inside. So except for the error, I would recommend trying this new sushi place in Marlton. read more
