Greg's Lasagna Suprema, Chicken Parmigiana + fettuccine alfredo
    Desiree J.

Decided to try Othello's after 7 years of living in Edmond. We are already big fans of Around the Corner next door - same owners, we've heard. Anyway, we were pleasantly surprised. The Caesar salad was really delicious. The chicken parm we ordered with fettuccine alfredo instead of spaghetti and both hit the spot. In fact the chicken parm was some of the best we've had! We also tried the "Garfield special" aka the lasagna. Really delicious. Service was attentive, ambiance was cozy and quiet - the music stopped about halfway through and it definitely added to the experience, though. We'll be back for another date night soon. We had made a reservation but it seemed they had walk-in availability at 4 pm on a weekday.

    Stuffed Shrimp with Crabmeat

The place itself is cozy and adorable with a mix of high class but also casual. There's plenty of seating and a full bar as well. Parking is also good with angled parking in front on the street and additional parking in the lot in the rear of the location. Service was okay, not too bad but definitely could be better. We ordered appetizers of fried calamari and bruscetta. The bruscetta was good. The calamari came with cocktail sauce, which was odd and was very pale for being fried. My husband is the only one who eats it and thankfully because the portion was so small. He says it was okay. For dinner I got baked ziti and the sauce itself was very flavorless, but the ziti and mozzarella were cooked to perfection. My husband got stuffed shrimp with crabmeat stuffing- it was like 7 little shrimps! He said the crabmeat was good but the portion was not efficient. The portions in general were very small- especially for Italian food. I ordered a frozen peach bellini and it was delicious. I will say we were super hopeful for this place because it came recommended from many Oklahomans. It sadly missed the mark for us. Maybe being Italian and from NYC we are spoiled but either way- probably not coming back for dinner. Will try again for appetizers and drinks though.

Excellent Italian food, cool interior decor and prompt as well as stellar service (from Molly). Drove past this place and was curious. Saw one of those triangular signs stating they had a mushroom penne and so got that, as well as the ravioli. The antipasto was also great. In addition, they serve these Italian cream sodas that have a lot of flavor - I got the vanilla flavored one. Their restrooms are also baller and in the Men's one they have a ton of pictures of Marilyn Monroe; wonder what stud is featured in the Ladie's? All in all, a lot of character here and highly recommended!

The ambiance of this location is perfect for a date night but they also have plenty of seating to accommodate the food. Overall I thought alot of the food lacked seasoning from the complimentary bread to the main pasta dish I had. A friend has the JK chicken which they also said lacked a bit of pizzazz as did my tortellini Diablo. The showstopper was definitely the coconut cream pie at the end of the meal! I'd definitely eat this over and over.

Food is always so good, wait staff is lacking. I'm not certain if it's because they are short-handed or not but I don't like to go because I don't went a 3 hours dinner.

    Ambience at othello's.

Long on ambience. Good manicotti don't forget to add a meatball to your order. Pasty meat sauce... definite turn off. On the other hand... bread was very good... simple pleasure that saved the meal Definitely an upscale restaurant that tries to be too rustic with it's red sauce.

it's gone downhill. 3 things: salt, pepper, garlic powder. Flavor profile was very underwhelming. Tasteless.

I especially loved the open-concept bar and the intimate dining room--it felt like the kind of place where you'd expect an amazing homemade meal. Which is exactly why the food caught us completely off guard. We started with two lemonades, cheesy garlic bread, and a meat lovers pizza. The lemonades tasted like the drink machine had waved at the lemonade mix from across the room. They were so watered down that I started wondering if I was just drinking lightly flavored water. Next came the cheesy garlic bread. Calling it "cheesy garlic bread" felt... optimistic. It was sliced bread with a few pieces of melted cheese on top, served with a side of marinara that tasted like it had a nostalgic reunion with an elementary school cafeteria. Thankfully, the table had salt, pepper, grated Parmesan, and red pepper flakes, so I did my best to audition for an episode of Kitchen Rescue and season it myself. Then the main event arrived: the meat lovers pizza. I wish I had better news. It tasted more like a "heat-and-serve" pizza than something freshly made in an Italian restaurant. At one point, I genuinely caught myself thinking a frozen Red Baron might have put up a stronger fight. That's not the comparison you want your restaurant inspiring. I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. The space feels inviting, thoughtfully designed, and full of charm. But the food simply didn't live up to the experience the restaurant promises when you walk through the door. By the end of the meal, I couldn't shake the feeling that many of the dishes were assembled and baked rather than prepared from scratch. I sincerely hope they've improved their recipes or preparation methods because this restaurant has so much potential. The ambiance deserves food that's just as memorable--for the right reasons. Sadly, on this visit, the décor earned five stars while the food never made it past the starting line.

This dinner-only spot is tucked into a strip center with easy parking. Inside is modern, chic, and beautiful, down to the table settings. We were even greeted with complimentary Prosecco--a cute little touch. Service was fantastic. Our server was helpful, attentive, and genuinely seemed excited about the food she was serving. We started with East Coast oysters--small, delicate, and delicious with house-made cocktail sauce and horseradish that gives you that little nose burn. If you know, you know. The mushroom risotto was divine--rich, sharp, and loaded with actual mushrooms, not three little pieces playing hide-and-seek. My friend's homemade lobster tortellini was good, although a little one-note for me. She loved it, and I'm not a pasta girl, so listen to her. But the short rib was THE winner. Rich and savory with demi-glace, perfectly cooked asparagus, and a tangy, citrusy basil mousse that completely brightened the dish. I'm still thinking about the darn mousse. Bathrooms? Beautiful, marble, spotless. We love to see it. Great service, beautiful space, and food worth driving back from Tulsa for. The basil mousse and mushroom risotto WILL see me again.
