Never disappointed! Best Italian food ever!! Courteous staff. Pleasing atmosphere. Generous portions. What's not to like.

My husband and I came here for Father's Day lunch and it did not disappoint! We started with the Garlic Cheese Bread as an appetizer and it was the right amount of cheese and garlic. I had the Shrimp Alfredo with fettuccine that's made in-house. The Alfredo sauce was perfection and the shrimp was cooked just right. My husband had the Lobster Ravioli and said it was excellent. We then split a slice of their Chocolate Mousse Cake. The mousse was very fluffy and love the chocolate chips on the end. We also ordered a large Meat Lovers Pizza to take home for lunches this week. We didn't have to wait long to be seated and the service was prompt, accurate, and attentive as always. We stumbled across the cutest little Italian restaurant, and first impressions had us excited. The décor is warm, cozy, and gives that authentic Italian comfort vibe. I especially loved the open-concept bar and the intimate dining room--it felt like the kind of place where you'd expect an amazing homemade meal. Which is exactly why the food caught us completely off guard. We started with two lemonades, cheesy garlic bread, and a meat lovers pizza. The lemonades tasted like the drink machine had waved at the lemonade mix from across the room. They were so watered down that I started wondering if I was just drinking lightly flavored water. Next came the cheesy garlic bread. Calling it "cheesy garlic bread" felt... optimistic. It was sliced bread with a few pieces of melted cheese on top, served with a side of marinara that tasted like it had a nostalgic reunion with an elementary school cafeteria. Thankfully, the table had salt, pepper, grated Parmesan, and red pepper flakes, so I did my best to audition for an episode of Kitchen Rescue and season it myself. Then the main event arrived: the meat lovers pizza. I wish I had better news. It tasted more like a "heat-and-serve" pizza than something freshly made in an Italian restaurant. At one point, I genuinely caught myself thinking a frozen Red Baron might have put up a stronger fight. That's not the comparison you want your restaurant inspiring. I really wanted to love this place because the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. The space feels inviting, thoughtfully designed, and full of charm. But the food simply didn't live up to the experience the restaurant promises when you walk through the door. By the end of the meal, I couldn't shake the feeling that many of the dishes were assembled and baked rather than prepared from scratch. I sincerely hope they've improved their recipes or preparation methods because this restaurant has so much potential. The ambiance deserves food that's just as memorable--for the right reasons. Sadly, on this visit, the décor earned five stars while the food never made it past the starting line. read more

Tonight we went to Mio Italian Kitchen because it was said to have great chicken piccata. So of course that's what I ordered. My bf ordered the pasta sampler. The sampler had manicotti, lasagna and ravioli. It was good but their sauce was on the sweet side for my boyfriend's taste. It would have been nice if the selection came separately and had a bit more variety in the tasting. My chicken piccata was just disappointing. The chicken was tender. However, the texture was like it was boiled. It also has no flavor. The sauce was not much better. It needed more lemon and creaminess, for my taste. I will say the waiter was wonderful, the ambiance was comfortable for a romantic dinner or with the family. The prices are decent for the portions and when they realized I didn't care for my dinner they offered to replace it with something else and ended up giving me a discount on my bill. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was delicious. The portion was small. Free bread included. Service was exceptional. Ambiance is very nice here. I'm sad they don't offer veal anymore. All around this is a great spot. I look forward to coming back and exploring the menu. read more

My wife and I were visiting from out of town. I was feeling Italian. Yelp showed this place had 4.3 stars so we decided to try it. The service was good. The food was exceptional. My wife loved the Calamari and she's particular when it comes to Calamari. She said she'd never tasted Alfredo sauce so good as on the Mio Trio. I had the Mio Frutti de Marre. I couldn't stop eating it though I was getting full. Next time we are in Edmond, we will definitely be back. My only criticism, I wish they still had the sea bass with risotto. read more

My wife and I had an excellent meal here last night. The young lady who served us was super friendly and checked on us throughout the evening. I started with the fried cheese sticks just because I was in the mood and then had the spaghetti with Italian sausage. It was well seasoned, and they were very generous with the amount of sausage. My wife, who was gluten-free, had the shrimp scampi with gluten-free pasta. She really enjoyed the lemon flavor and the size of the shrimp. Overall, this was an excellent evening and we will definitely be going back. read more

Came here with the family for dinner on a Tuesday evening around 6:30PM. The restaurant wasn't busy so, we were seated immediately even without having reservations. We ordered beverages, they came out fast. We got complimentary garlic bread which was delicious. I think 4 servings of bread per table comes out, and if you want more you can order more, I think? I didn't ask for more since, our server didn't offer. For entrees the boys decided on a 16" pepperoni pizza, I had the lobster ravioli with side Caesar, and my man had the spaghetti with Italian sausage. Portion sizes were perfect and on the more generous side. My ravioli came out hot and delicious which I really appreciated. My side Caesar had fresh romaine which was a pleasant surprise since, most restaurants tend to serve wilted greens. My man has been here before, and loves it. He said his food also tasted great. The boys unfortunately didn't like their pizza as it wasn't Italian style or even NY style. It was super bready, and my oldest said it tasted like school pizza only the temp was hot so, it was slightly better. We ended up taking the pizza to go since, the boys were disappointed. For dessert I asked for recommendations, but our server I don't think really ate sweets and didn't like chocolate so, by the tone of her voice I should have not ordered anything but decided on the chocolate mousse cake since, she wasn't very helpful. The chocolate cake was disgusting, and I love chocolate. I want to be nicer about it, but it was literally worse than some grocery store cakes so, I'll not order dessert here again. However, the food that I ordered was good. Giving 3-stars since the service wasn't super friendly or welcoming, it was just okay. Felt like a fast food Italian place with how the service was. My man said the service was way better the previous time he came with a friend. My food was good, my guys food was good, but the boys didn't like their meals so.. I feel like an average review is appropriate since, I felt like this place was just average in service and quality. Might come back, might not. Try it out for yourself, if you're in the area, but don't order dessert. read more

Oh MIO my! What a treat to have a spot that serves traditional Italian dishes in the area. We started with Mussels in Marinara Sauce for an appetizer. The sauce is delicious! The rolls that come with the meal were so soft and hit the spot. I went specifically to try the Lasagna - lots of folks had recommended Mio. It was a very nice helping and can totally see why it was a favorite. We also tried the Veal Picatta with a side of vegetables instead of pasta. That was the perfect combination. The service was friendly and warm. I love the atmosphere as well with the tour of Italy playing in the background on the TVs. The booth was very comfortable and I loved the holiday decor they had up. It's a very quaint setting, perfect for the family or for a date night. We are excited to go back to try some of the other Italian dishes. :) read more

I went in with zero expectations but this place is amazing. I ordered chicken Cesar Salad and my mom and sister ordered chicken Parmesan off the lunch menu. My salad was delicious and so was the chicken Parmesan. So much food for the price! The waiter was more than great and the place was clean and elegant. House salad with house tomato vinaigrette dressing is fresh and pops with flavor in my mouth. Spaghetti and meatballs hands down delicious. Meatballs are plump and tasty. Caesar salad with chicken is good but dressing is lacking anchovies. IMO, not a Caesar without anchovies. The chicken tastes fresh off the grill. The warm buttered dinner rolls sprinkled with a bit of Parmesan are to die for. Careful not to eat too many before meal arrives bc they're so light it's easy to do. Had to have a canoli for dessert that is big enough for two. Josef gave us fabulous service and took time without neglecting other patrons. Italian music in the background and a couple of TVs in the dining area. Excellent meal. Next time, we will try with wine. read more

This has become one of our favorite Italian spots! Usually we get their spaghetti or their fettuccini. Last night we tried their pepperoni pizza. OMG! I've been here a few times but specifically this time was to try their pizza. My tastes differ from my wife so we decided on the Veggie Pizza then added Pepperoni on one half the Canadian Bacon on the other half. I must admit this was a really good pizza however, my take on this is that this is a pizza that is great in the restaurant but I don't think I'd recommend this as a pick up. The crust has a soft delicate texture that holds up fairly well while fresh out of the oven. I wasn't disappointed but I'm glad I came into try this out. It was between lunch and dinner so definitely not crowded. Our waiter was great and was on top of everything! Such a great experience. The food was absolutely authentic and delicious. We had the mio trio & veal Marsala and calamari appetizer and don't forget to try the complementary bread , it melts in your mouth. They take such pride in their food, service, and atmosphere!
