They initially came out to provide an estimate, and we were happy with the price, so we scheduled their next available appointment for Wednesday, 03/11/26. On the morning of the appointment, the owner, Otis, texted to say they were experiencing vehicle issues and asked to reschedule. We agreed to move it to Wednesday, 03/18/26. On Monday, 03/16/26, I tried to confirm the appointment but couldn't get through. I left a voicemail and sent a text, then made several additional attempts to follow up, but received no response. Unfortunately, they did not show up on Wednesday morning. The lack of communication and missed appointment felt unprofessional. While I can't speak to the quality of their work, the unreliability and poor communication initially led me to decide not to move forward. Update: Otis contacted me within an hour of my review going live. It turns out my calls were mistakenly flagged as spam on his phone, so he didn't receive my messages or voicemail. I appreciate the prompt follow-up and have decided to give them another chance. He also mentioned that Yelp messages are also a very good way to get a hold of. Handled a plumbing issue in like 5 mins (my mom accidentally flushed a cleaning rag down the toilet) and then went above and beyond to clean everything too! back in January Justin of Otis Services came to realign an outdoor door for me. he was prompt, knowledgeable , friendly and reasonably priced. Normally this would warrant a 5 star rating from me. at the time we agreed that the weather stripping around the door should be replaced. he ordered this and I paid in advance for the material. He returned the following week but the material was an incorrect length. He said he would be back again with the right length in a week or so. after multiple attempts to contact him (8-10) I have heard nothing. Had a toilet leaking like a cup of water every day (floors wet surrounding the toilet). I had no idea where the leak was coming from. I kept researching it online for hours to see if I could fix it myself. So many things could have caused the leak. So, I gave up and searched on Yelp. Yelp has a new function where you can fill out this short 5 question survey, and then boom, Yelp automatically sends out your plumbing request to 5 nearby plumbers asking for an estimate. Within one day, Otis Services gave me estimate of $210, and I had two other estimates from other plumbers for $300. Obviously, I went with the cheapest estimate since they all had 5-star reviews. Otis Services scheduled an appointment on the next day. He was late by an hour, but he had updated me at the scheduled time that he was going to be late; I don't mind this because that means he completes his work before moving on to his next project. I had a handyman a few years ago who was so rushed to move onto the next customer (kept getting phone calls) that he left all of his trash out (sink parts) and just drove off. Anyways, back to Otis Services: Guy and his kid show up to my house and instantly figures out the problem (within like 30 seconds of looking at it). Fixes it in about an hour (because he had to drive to Home Depot to get the parts and come back); he verbally explains everything, but I really don't care because I have no idea how parts of the toilet work, lol (some people might like to know what he's doing, but I can already tell he is an expert). We had Justin at Otis Services come find out why an old stove smelled of gas when we used it. He responded to my Yelp request within 30 minutes and came out that day. We had an old range top from the 70s that came with a condo we just bought. He figured out that the stove worked but was so old it required the pilot lights to be lit and stay lit. We had been using a lighter to light the burners. The second service was to check a dripping filtered water dispenser. We bought a new one and he installed it as well as a new kitchen faucet. The connectors to the water dispenser were an older size and he had to go to the hardware store to get a connector which adjusted the size of the existing line. That saved us a lot of time and money since we didn't have to replace the lines. read more

I really cannot say how pleased I am - I went from my power going out at 9pm last night to calling this morning and having a prompt reply and an appointment set for this morning by Michele. My home warranty company was unable to get here for 2 days and that was no bueno! So I had to find someplace who could come a bit sooner!
