While I can't speak to the quality of their work, the unreliability and poor communication initially led me to decide not to move forward. Update: Otis contacted me within an hour of my review going live. It turns out my calls were mistakenly flagged as spam on his phone, so he didn't receive my messages or voicemail. I appreciate the prompt follow-up and have decided to give them another chance. He also mentioned that Yelp messages are also a very good way to get a hold of. We tried plungers, snakes, drain-o,…read moreetc. We called Desert Drain Cleaning and Plumbing and Bill was at our house within 30 minutes. He cleared the drain, added a clean out to another pipe and gave use recommendations for maintenance. He guaranteed his work too. He was energetic, professional, punctual and you can tell from the start he was going to get the job at a fair price. We recommend Bill and his team. He will take care of our plumbing here on out.

Apparently after emptying the septic tank, it dislodged some sort of fabric or carpet materials in the pipes causing the clog. (Why on earth someone would flush fabric or carpet is beyond me.) In both of our bathrooms, the shower/tub would back up, get that plunged and the toilet backed up. It was like playing Whack-a-Mole. We called Desert Drain Cleaning and they were out within an hour. Another hour or so snaking the pipes almost all the way to the septic system, we were clog free. Bill couldn't be nicer and we will DEFINITELY call him again should the need arise. Extremely Disappointing Experience with Dun-right Plumbing…read more I am compelled to share my profoundly unsatisfactory experience with Dunright Plumbing. Yesterday and today, we faced plumbing issues, including a stoppage, a leak inside the wall, and a broken disposal. We called out home waranty and they assign this compnay for us to urgently take care of issue. We were scheduled on Thursday between 8am -4 pm I had to take a day off to be home on that long time frame but nobody showed up nobody called to give us update. When I called around 4 pm on Thursday Theresa was sorry about what happened and we respect that and gave them benefit of doubt and let them to schedule us for today first thing in the morning. Despite a promised early morning appointment between 10-12 today, Dun right Plumbing was a complete no-show again and no call. When we called for an update first she said oh I thought my tech already is there and then she said she will follow up with him but again I didn't hear anything from them, they continually changed the timeframe and failed to uphold their commitments, demonstrating a lack of responsibility and communication. Our attempts to address the situation with Theresa at the store initially seemed promising, but it quickly turned into empty assurances. The repeated delays and unfulfilled promises left us feeling taken advantage of, especially considering we were accommodating and flexible. It appears they played games with our appointment, prioritizing other clients over us. Despite relying on our home warranty for support in such situations, Dunright Plumbing's incompetence and lack of professionalism left us without a resolution. Even our request for the owner's name was denied, reflecting a lack of transparency. Now, it's Friday, and we are forced to seek alternative solutions for our plumbing issues, depriving us of the basic amenities of a functional home until next week. The entire experience has been nothing short of miserable. I share this review to caution other clients about the unreliability and unprofessionalism of Dunright Plumbing. It's crucial for individuals to be aware of who they are entrusting with their plumbing needs, and unfortunately, Dunright Plumbing falls short of meeting those expectations.

He is a nice guy and during one of our chats told me he and his gf lived in a trailer behind Home Depot and heating bills were high. His gf did not work. I felt bad and told him that if I was satisfied with his work, I would let him replace my patio. Up to that point the paint job he did was fine. Covid hit and future work had to be temporarily halted. I asked him several times to return my key but he never did. I found out why. He and his gf and pets were squatting and partying in my home. The white berber carpet was now dark gray with cigarette ashes and pet stains. The bed was unmade and the new bedspread and sheets stained with bodily fluids. The new carpet in the bathrooms had apparently been saturated with water and there was mold. The toilets were not only stained but one upstairs toilet that Jon had gone with me to pick out and make sure I got the right one leaked all over the floor and stained the ceiling beneath. I suppose living in a beautiful townhome with central air and heat sure beats a trailer. Glassware and items used to stage the home were also missing. Other then myself, the only other person with a key was Jon. I immediately called the police and made a police report. They told me I could press charges but since for all intents and purposes Jon was indigent, the only thing that would happen is a bit of jail time. I would never recover for the damage he had done. It was the LAPD that suggested I write a review. BTW, Jon also mentioned that on another occasion he was accused of entering a home he was working on w/o permission and actually causing more damage then he had been hired to fix. This couple threatened to sue Jon and refused to pay him. When Jon told me this story, I believed he had been wronged but now not only do I wish the couple had left a review, I wish I had seen the red flag. As the police suggested, I posted a review last year which Jon responded to via a private message ( which I kept) laden with expletives and wishes that I die. He also managed to get my honest review removed. I have learned a very valuable lesson. From now on I will only use professional people or people recommended by someone I personally know. In my effort to save a few dollars, I ended up spending a whole lot more to replace carpeting, toilets, towels, bedspread, sheets and pillows and repair the mold and ceiling stains. It's too easy to get a group of friends to write stellar reviews and Yelp does not vet its businesses. All I can say is caveat emptor. Do your due diligence and by all means if you insist on hiring Jon, do not entrust him with your key, and make sure someone is on the premises when he is there.
