Definitely our fav sushi spot! The food is always fresh and delicious The servers are always super nice. We had Elvin this time and he was awesome. And the restaurant is always clean.

I had a great experience at Otobo Sushi. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They created a warm and inviting space from the moment I walked in. This restaurant has been on my list for some time and I was glad I was able to check it out while visiting the Chicago area. I was pleasantly surprised by their sushi of the day featuring sweet potato, a unique twist. I am always down for anything with sweet potato. The combination of the sweet potato's creamy texture with the fresh ingredients was outstanding. It's a must try and I genuinely hope they make it a permanent addition to their menu. I spoke to the chef and suggested it so hopefully they do lol. If ever in the area I will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for great sushi and excellent service.

Really great tasting, server was excellent! Highly recommend and will be coming back. Miso ginger dressing on the salad was so so good, ramen with the pork was amazing. Jalapeño crab avocado delicious.

Wonderful sushi!! Friendly service. Great atmosphere. Loved the hot mango tea and the Goyoza is the BEST I have ever had anywhere! Fresh ingredients and beautiful plates.

We had dinner here on Oct 6. Decor, service, and food were all good. I ordered ramen. My son and husband ordered katsu. We also ordered some rolls. Everything was delicious. I also loved the teapot that the hot tea was served in. I think the only negative was the value. Pricey food that did not reflect the sushi roll portions. I would still recommend and will be back.

Came on a good date to get some good rolls because that's what we were in the mood for. It has an upscale feel but it's more casual than it looks. OTOBO is in the one shopping center in Bolingbrook on Weber Road. Going there it's never been that busy. This is in the same plaza as Pita Zone. Amazingly it's never been busy. It could just be the current situation but the parking lot is always full. There's other places in this shopping center like Pita Zone. Along with sushi were the drinks. They have Japanese beer and harder stuff. I got the Blue Wolf, one of the cocktails that sounded good. It's $5 at happy hour. This is made with Cruzan Strawberry Rum, blueberries, and lemonade. As for the rolls we got the best sounding one. We both got the Vegan Roll. It's $9 and it's a pretty small one. This has avocado, cucumber, mango, and oisho sauce. Food is good but the portions are small and expensive. It has these tiny ass rolls. They don't give you much for what they charge for these.

Our favorite suburban sushi restaurant in the local area. Each time we dine here, we enjoy something new. And we've never been disappointed. This time I tried the Sake flight and oh yum yum yum !! You've got to try.

This is my first time at this lovely quaint place. I was having lunch with my colleague whom suggested this place. The ambience was nice, clean. Our waiter was very polite and attentive. I had the Godzilla roll which was very good and fresh. Also miso soup was very good and hot. I love boba tea so their Chai Latte Mango Tea was amazing. I will come back again for a new "lunch spot"

Clean, family oriented restaurant. Love the calm, romantic interior design. Spacious patio seating. Table aesthetic was classy, very date-friendly. Food was fresh and flavorful. They had several unique sushi choices. The sushi portions were quite terrible. For $15+ specialty rolls, I expect thick pieces of sushi. The portions were as small as grocery store sushi, very sad. Both the Dragon Roll and Temptunavo Roll were both portioned rather small. The portioning ruined a lot of the experience of the restaurant. We ordered three rolls and still wasn't full. I would not return here for sushi but I may come for a appetizer or drink. We ordered their Elder Old Fashion and was impressed. It wasn't too unique of a Old-Fashion but it was tasteful. Overall, sushi there is a no-go. Drink was great. Don't recommend for all my sushi connoisseurs.

I note this place is really a 3.5, but Yelp doesn't have that rating option so I rounded them up. The service was really friendly and welcoming. They ask had good social distancing as well. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for good sushi this is a good spot but not a great spot. Overall the salmon rolls I ordered were y favorite. For the spicy salmon I didn't love their Mayonnaise blend.

    Sushi pizza...absolutely awesome!

Ordered contactless pickup during Covid-19 pandemic. I am very impressed by their sanitary methods! I would feel very comfortable ordering from them again. Everything was fresh and delicious! The service was very courteous and efficient. I am so addicted to those spicy shishito peppers! And I recommend the sushi pizza as a n interesting addition.

I don't feel like sushi here was very impressive. And oddly I didn't like the soy sauce even though it was kikoman.

Came in on a busy Saturday night after attending another event in the area. The bar was hopping and we snagged the last 2 available seats. At first, it appeared they had 4 bartenders, a manager, and a barback behind the bar. However, other than the barback consistently washing/unloading dishes I am not sure what was going on with the service. Manager was not providing any assistance to his staff. However, he was filling his own water bottle. Other staff were taking selfies with guests. It took awhile to order a second round as well as pay our tab. This was a one and done visit for me.

We were pleasantly surprised to find out apps were 25% off- which meant we had to try the pretzel. I think it may have been the biggest pretzel I've ever seen in my life. The outside was a melt-in-your-mouth fried texture with the inside being soft and doughy in the best way. Paired with any of the 3 dips, it made for the most delicious appetizer that essentially filled up our entire table itself. Special shoutout to the arse sauce & their honey mustard- sooo good. The table also tried the buffalo chicken wrap (YUM), caprese sandwich (good!), and penne alla vodka (somewhat mid but better as leftovers). Sweet potato tots were the perfect side. This was my third time here and they honestly never disappoint. Service & food always hit. My go to spot when visiting Plainfield!

Based on food, that 2-star above would be a "4". It's a family-run establishment, and therein lies the reason for the 2-star mark. They have rules. Oboy, do they have rules. When you order the chicken, they bring it out "family style", and only the folks who order the chicken can sup from the bowls. They put out relishes and yummy corn fritters, but don't think you're going to get to take them along in the doggie bag. You can rent a seat for $10.41, if you don't order a full dinner; and your kids can rent their seats for $5.20, if THEY don't order a dinner. There's a "Lettuce salad" for $8.63, but only at that price if you order WITHOUT croutons. Apparently the WFF folks didn't swing when the crouton futures were favorable. For the record, "croutons" are nowhere on the menu...at any price. There was a scowling manager who reminded me of Basil Fawlty (q.v.). It seemed she was annoyed by the customers. Their policy is NO SPLIT CHECKS. That's okay, we have calculators on our fones. We were a party of four, a regular dining quartet, and it is our custom that no one picks up the entire check. Sometimes one or more of us pays cash for their portion and others have a card. We'll say: "charge each card $40, and here's $50 in cash". Round numbers, easy peasy. (which actually results in a bonus for the server 'cos the tip turns out to be greater than normal) We've never encountered a problem at any resto (who accepts credit cards) when it came to giving them payment in this fashion. O, but there was a problem here. One of our 4 didnt have any cash and needed to pay with his card, but was told "No, you can't!" The fellow with the Card was so offended, he said he was going to skip dinner, and just have a Diet Coke. But that would trigger the $10.41 "I ain't eatin'" fee. Well. It stupefies me that ANY establishment would kick back at customers wanting to pay their bill. The waitress was adamant that we could not proffer varied payments for our bill. We asked for a manager, and Ms. Fawlty sidled up to our table. They kept insisting there was "NO SPLIT CHECK", but we weren't ASKING for a split check. The ask was on the SUM TOTAL (with generous tip added). We even made the ask in "round numbers" They didn't have to do any math. I thought I was going to have to pull up an Esperanto translator to get her to understand we weren't asking to SPLIT the check. After some sprightly conversation, the loose wire in the old bag's noggin hit the right contact and then she grokked what we were proposing. I thought I saw sparks coming from her right ear, but it might have been a trick of the light. Luckily, the guy with the card could now eat. The aggregate service was fine, with the above exception, and as I said above, the food IS top-notch. Even beyond Chicken-- the Steak here is very good. My carping here nonetheless, it's a fun place to go, and you are guaranteed a fine feed. But if you're in mixed company, work out who is going to grab the tab before you sit down...
