This is a decent seafood boil & sushi spot located in the suburbs of Chicago. Me and my husband enjoyed our meal here! Too bad it took us an hour to get here.... anyways lets get into the review. The outside is inviting. I believe they just opened not too long ago. Love the concept of seafood boil & sushi under one roof. Very spacious space. They even have claw machines inside! Harbor Lover: This was a great combo to share with someone. Comes with a lobster tail, snow crab legs, shrimp, potatoes, and 2 corns. We opted for the Pier 9 special seasoning. It wasn't super salty which we liked. Cajun fries: Can't complain. These were good. Sushi: The sushi was great! Lots of different rolls to choose from so you cant go wrong.

5 Stars for delicious sushi on a Thursday! We had 5 different sushis and they are all yummy. I had the summer cocktail and the girls got the summer refreshers... all taste good! Our server Elijah was awesome! I like that this is a big place, we were seated right away. The noise is minimal. They also have big parking space, so it will not be an issue. We had a great experience. I will come back for the seafood boil next time.

We loved our experience at Pier 9 Seafood! It's a pretty big restaurant with plenty of seating--we came just in time and snagged one of the last tables before the dinner rush for our party of four. The portions were great and everything came out exactly as expected. We ordered miso soup, a salmon veggie plate, and a mixed seafood combo (shrimp, snow crab, and mussels). They were super accommodating and steamed everything with the sauce on the side, which we really appreciated. Service was excellent--attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The food itself wasn't anything wildly unique, but it was solid, fresh, and satisfying. And honestly, my kids loved it, which automatically makes it a win in my book. We'll definitely be back!

What fun having the seafood boil. My friend and I split the crab and shrimp feast. Plenty for the two of us with corn on the cob, potatoes and hard boiled eggs. We went with the mild Pier 9 seasoning. I'd try medium spicy next time.

We decided to come here last night since it was very cold and snowy. We wanted to stay local. I was surprised to see that the whole parking lot was almost filled during their soft opening. FYI, they are no longer doing their 15% off dine-in that is advertised on their website and social media. Our server Jacey H told us last night that they aren't doing it anymore. No problem, the prices seemed fair for the portion sizes. However, they should probably take that advertisement off their website. We ordered fried oysters, pier 9 seafood pasta, and harbor lover seafood boil. Service was okay, we were seated in the bar area so our server was also a bartender. However, I think she could have done a bit better in being more efficient. Overall, this is a 4 out of 5. -fried oysters 5 - I really enjoyed these. The price was not bad. The quality was good. Oysters were juicy when you bite into them. -pier 9 seafood pasta 2 - this is a pretty low rating. A lot can be fixed here. For $27, they could have added a bigger piece of lobster, 2-3 more pieces of shrimp (there were only 4), and more scallops (only 2). For a seafood place, they were kind of skimpy on this dish. The noodles were fine but the sauce lacked any flavor at all. I get more flavor going in the pasta aisle at any grocery store. Skip this dish unless they improve on it. -harbor lover 5 - it came with a big piece of lobster tail, 3 snow crab leg clusters, 1 lb of shrimp (head-off), 3-4 corn. It was supposed to come with 6 potatoes but they gave us extra corn and a snow crab leg cluster. We chose mild Cajun seasoning. That sauce was really good, it would go well on rice or noodles.

Seafood Boil: 3/5 - cooked to perfection but their sauce is too runny and flavorless. No flavor at all. Needs onion garlic and way more seasoning. Sushi: 5/5 tastes good and is fresh Drinks: 3/5 strong Other food: 1/5 - yeah stick to the seafood dishes lol

It was our first time here and we got to celebrate some birthdays! Staff was really nice and the food was delicious. I got a green dragon roll and a seafood boil bag with clams, headless shrimp, potatoes, sausage, and corn. It was super fun and yummy!

I will say that the seafood boil with the snow crab and seasoned garlic butter was amazing. The sausage was a great as a part of it too! However, the coconut walnut shrimp came with full walnuts on top and unseasoned broccoli. It did not look very appealing as a dish, and lacked the flavor that the seafood boil had. Additionally, the bathroom was leaking from the ceiling when we went causing the floor to be very wet. The service was great, and the food was very timely. Would definitely go back for the crab!

Felicia did a nice job bartending sushi is very good. I had the sushi lunch special. I got here for lunchtime and the place was pretty quiet. It's fairly new and I would expect it will pick up as more people find out about it

Hubby surprised us with this place to celebrate my birthday and the food was absolutely phenomenal! Our server "T" was amazing and made the experience even more special. The birthday celebration was unforgettable -- from the light-up crown, teddy bear with a rose, to the delicious cheesecake! Definitely worth the trip, even though the drive was a bit of a hike. We'll definitely be back!

The service was great. Very nice restaurant. Asian inspired theme. Our waitress Felicia was awesome. For appetizers we had the yellow tail jalapeño and fried oysters. For drinks we hand the watermelon tini, peach margarita and the Hennessy Sidecar. All delicious. My husband and I had the Harbor Lover Boil with garlic butter. Those crab legs had meat let me tell you. My son had the sushi dinner. They do a fantastic birthday announcement too. Highly recommend. Service, food and ambience all were great!!!

I'd recommend this place to anyone with a jones for seafood. It's not without faults or blemishes...but here in the cheap, callous world of 2026, just suck it up. I'll explain anon. First off - the food is EXCELLENT. Not what I wanted when I entered (a stout filet of fishy fish), but rather a "boil" of various seafoods, tossed into a bag, and boiled to doneness. Fishy filet expectations aside, what I got was waaay good. These folks have their boiling honed to a Fine Art. Everything - the crab legs, shrimp, scallops, corn, spuds - was cooked " just so" - that razor thin margin between "ah!" and "too much, damnit!". Just perfect. Making things better, they serve unabashedly, Old Bay and Real Butter, unlike some wishy-washy chains on their way to Bankruptcy. (Rouge Crustacean) The service was okay - not stellar, but not bad either, with a proper cadence, and always with "you're in charge" friendliness and attention. I have a few observations. Not "gripes", but things I noticed for Management and restaurant-goers in 2026 to consider: 1. The table napkins are wholly-inadequate to the task of a seafood boil. A roll of toilet paper would be just as effective as the micron-thin napkins provided. 2. If you're looking for romantic / elegant decor for a first date, seek elsewhere; this ain't it. But be prepared to double or treble your budget. As far as Nitpicks go, that's it And those nitpicks illustrate the beauty of Pier 9: they provide a wonderful meal of high-quality, FRESH seafood, with impressive portions, at prices which - though expensive - an ordinary Working Man could consider affordable. You know, the kind of people that His Puissant Orangeness and his Clown Car Cabinet are trying to crush. An enjoyable first time visit, and the best crabs I've had since moving from Maryland 15 years ago. Kudos, Pier 9!!

Today was a good experience. I just worked out and called to ask about the dress code. No dress code, I'll be right there! I walked in and was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and gave me time to decide without feeling rushed even as I changed my mind a couple times. I ordered the salmon and Mad Rose to drink. The drink has a lot going on and wasn't for me. It reminded me of a cinnamon orange tea, citrus and spicy. For dinner, I waffled on a couple fish dishes, but went with the salmon. It has a nice, crunchy glaze on it with some nice citrus flavors that weren't overbearing. I wasn't sure how the risotto would taste with the orange, but it worked. I was asked several times how I was doing and how my drinks and food were. Dining solo, I get ignored at times with subpar service. Not tonight access I appreciate that. I would recommend based on service and the dish I had. I will return to try more.

I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area.

I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Seems like there were quite a few singles there as well if you are looking to meet someone. I have no idea what the dating scene is like in Lemont, but this might be a good spot to try.

Our server, Ximena, was outstanding. She took the time to share the story behind the restaurant's name and the inspiration for its cuisine, which added a personal touch to the meal. She was friendly, attentive, patient, and never made us feel rushed, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The Queso Fundido was absolutely incredible. It arrived at the table bubbling hot and perfectly melted. We paired it with corn tortillas, which complemented the rich, cheesy flavor perfectly. That was definitely the right choice! For my entrée, I ordered the Poblano Rajas Burrito, prepared suiza style. It was a unique dish that I enjoyed, although it wasn't what I would consider traditional Mexican cuisine. In hindsight, I would have skipped both the mushrooms and the potatoes. The potatoes, in particular, changed the overall flavor and took away from the more authentic experience I was expecting. The rice inside the burrito also wasn't traditional Mexican rice, but it was still flavorful and well prepared. Overall, I had a lovely meal at Fonda de Paula and look forward to returning to explore more of their vegetarian offerings. I was attracted by the festive red umbrellas of the outdoor seating, and, amazingly, there was a table available. The service was prompt, polite, friendly, but a bit forgetful, slightly less attentive than the Spanish speaking guests got but I guess that's only natural. I do have to say the food was very good. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The beer selection is pretty one sided but the loco wine and cocktail downtown prices chill you right out of those choices. Despite the decent food, I took a star for the high pricing for a product that you can get at other Mexican restaurants for notably less--and for the Guac NOT being "freshly prepared tableside" whatever that means (Don't advertise something in your menu if you're not actually going to do it). I would not say to avoid this place but be prepared to have mucho menos dinero after you're done for an experience that may not match the weight loss of your wallet.
